Abstract

Obesity or excess body weight is a predisposing factor for various diseases, one of which is because the accumulation of fatty tissue causes insulin resistance and causes an increase in sugar levels. This study aims to determine the description of glucose levels in obese patients. This research method is carried out through literature review that comes from various related studies, the stages starting from data collection, deepening the problem to be studied, then processing and analyzing the data obtained. From the literature results obtained several descriptions of glucose levels with various criteria for different respondents. Based on the description of various research results, it is found that there are differences in the value of blood sugar levels in obese and non-obese people and there is no relationship between physical activity and fasting blood glucose levels in DM patients

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood. Micromineral levels are related to the mechanism of glucose homeostasis. The abnormal zinc levels can be risk factors for DM. Improvement of micro-mineral levels can improve blood sugar levels. This study aimed to review the effects of zinc supplementation on blood glucose levels and insulin resistance. This study showed that DM was associated with low zinc levels in body serum. Zinc supplementation reduced fasting blood glucose, hemoglobin A1c levels, and insulin resistance in rat model DM and human researchs. It occurs in many types of Zn supplements. Differences in results may be due to differences in the characteristics of the subjects, doses, and periods of administration. Zn can be used for nutritional therapy in DM by considering the dose and period of supplementation, and patient characteristics to get optimal results

This shows that the behavior of self-medication in Indonesia is still quite large. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge about self-medication and patterns of drug use. This type of research is correlational with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 345 respondents with accidental sampling technique. Data retrieval using questionnaires and statistical analysis using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of descriptive analysis of variables in general knowledge about self-medication is good, descriptive analysis of drug use patterns is good. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge about self-medication and patterns of drug use (p-value 0.001). In conclusion, there is a relationship between knowledge about self-medication and patterns of drug use.

Abstract

The registration section is the front line of health service activities in health care facilities. There are many obstacles that occur in the registration section for various reasons. The limited workforce in the registration section is one of the causes of these obstacles. This study aims to analyze how many workforces needed in the medical record unit at the registration section of the Tanjungsari Medika Clinic based on the workload. This research is a descriptive research with observation and interview data collection methods. This study also uses the WISN (Workload Indicators Staffing Needs) method. WISN is a method used to calculate labor requirements based on workload. The data sample in this study was the number of patient visits at the Tanjungsari Medika Clinic for the period of July 2020 - June 2021, which amounted to 21619 outpatient visits and 3332 observation patient visits. From the results of the calculations in this study, it can be concluded that it is necessary to add 1 more person in the medical record unit at the Tanjungsari Medika Clinic in order to achieve quality health services with a qualified workforce as well.

Abstract

Folic acid for pregnant women which plays an important role in the formation of one-third of red blood cells and vitamins that are good during pregnancy for baby and pregnant women. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2010 showed that about 56% of all types of anemia are thought to be due to iron deficiency. In addition, 36% due to micronutrient deficiencies (vitamins A, B6, B12, riboflavin and folic acid) and the remaining 8% due to hereditary factors such as thaasemia and cyclical cell disease have also been known to cause anemia (Fatimah, 2011). A study was conducted with the title profile of the level of knowledge of pregnant women on the importance of folic acid in pregnancy at a hospital in Bandung on April 5-5 June 2021 with the aim of knowing the level of knowledge of pregnant women on folic acid in pregnancy
