Tumou Tou adalah jurnal ilmiah Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Manado yang dikelolah oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat untuk membantu para akademisi dan juga peneliti untuk membagikan hasil penelitiannya dalam hubungannya dengan Kristianitas, Ajaran dan Kemasyarakatan. Terbit edisi pertama tahun 2014 dengan nama Tumou Tou yang merupakan falsafah hidup, jalan hidup dan tujuan hidup yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, produkfitas, mutu dalam bidang pendidikan dan penelitian. Jurnal yang diterbitkan telah melalui proses peer-review dan proses editing secara profesional dan berkualitas pada bidangnya yang merupakan salah satu prasyarat untuk dapat Terakreditasi pada ARJUNA RISTEKBRIN dan juga terindeks pada SINTA. Tumou Tou merupakan jurnal yang telah diterbit sejak tahun 2014 dalam bentuk cetak dengan ISSN 2355-3308 dan secara online menggunakan OJS dimulai sejak tahun 2020

<![CDATA[This article examines what we can learn from Prisca's leadership in the life of the early church. This process rests on two key questions, how is Priska's role as a woman who becomes a leader? and what can be learned from Priska? This research was conducted using the feminist hermeneutic method. Feminist hermeneutics provides space for women as the subject of interpretation and designer of meaning after reading. The results of this study indicate that Priska deserves to be a leader. Priska has loyalty and a spirit of service that deserves an example as a leader.]]>

<![CDATA[Sitou timou tumou tou (ST4) has been a well-recognized philosophy adopted by the Minahasan people. During its development, it has become even more popular within the scope of education. ST4 was said to be first mentioned by the Minahasan national hero, Sam Ratulangi. The interpretations of ST4 have been abundant, mostly reciting the educational aspect: “a man lives to make other men humans.” However, a direct historical record on when and in what situation ST4 was first mentioned by Sam Ratulangi is not well known by the academia and general public. In fact, there has not been any written authoritative source about this manner. In this auto-narrative historical research, the authors took advantage of the direct experiential account of the oldest daughter of Sam Ratulangi (the second author) when ST4 was first said by Sam Ratulangi himself. This has revealed a novel, but rather the original intention of Sam Ratulangi when he first mentioned ST4 in the context of post-war Indonesia: “a man lives to live as a real man.”]]>

<![CDATA[The holiness of a priest is the main thing that God wants as a person who is given a mandate by God and guides believers to the maturity of faith in Jesus Christ. The purpose of this research is to contribute to each church priest to continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities as a servant and a person who trusts God and maintains a holistic life in ministry. Because the holiness of a person has a major influence on the maturity of the church's faith. The research method is literature review with interaction with texts in the Bible. The results of the analysis show that the holiness of a priest has a major impact on the spiritual growth of believers.]]>

<![CDATA[The Financial Service Authority Regulation No.31/POJK.05/2016, becomes the legal basis for the establishment of a private pawnshop business, of course this is a new opportunity for people who are business actors and pawnshop service users. One of the important things in the pawnshop business is the type of goods used as collateral, it is not uncommon for borrowers to hand over goods that are actually very important for the borrower's life, which often makes pawnshops not “solve problems without problems” but on the contrary add to problems. With a qualitative approach, using literature sources and the results of previous research, a theological study was conducted to answer the problem of what types of goods are allowed and which are not allowed to be used as collateral for pledges from a biblical perspective. By taking measurements through Christian business ethics, this article tries to answer the problem that the pawnshop business can be used to glorify God's name, namely the profits obtained by the pawnshop entrepreneur and the borrower are carried out by basing themselves on the spirit of helping and loving others, namely the profits of the pawnshop entrepreneur are not obtained through fraud and coercion, while the advantage of the borrower is that it is easy to obtain the loan process and the goods that are guaranteed are not the type of goods that have a direct impact on their lives.]]>

Communion in the church is very important for the elderly. With these developments, finally the elderly learn to be able to accept existing technological developments. So that they can live out their longing for fellowship in the church. Church services that are carried out in this digital era have become a big task for the church. <![CDATA[Youth as leadership successors in the future need to be mentored properly by the pastors. Successful mentoring will produce future leaders who are trained and ready to serve in various church ministries in the future. The purpose of this research is to provide an understanding for pastors on how to mentor youth, teach and motivate youth to serve, thus encouraging pastors to be more effective in carrying out their pastoral duties, bringing youth to understand God's calling for all believers. This research used a correlational method. Based on the data analysis conducted, it is concluded that the mentoring carried out by the pastor has a strong relationship with the involvement of youth in the ministry, because with mentoring that is done well by the pastor, it will have an impact on the progress of the ministry and the increase in youth who are involved in the ministry.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to approach the whole study using historical methods which are included in the research group with a qualitative paradigm. The historical in question is Marcion, a theologian who influenced Christianity in the second century. One of the teachings highlighted by Marcion is the understanding of God, where he rejects the God of the Old Testament but believes in the God of the New Testament that this rejection causes Marcion to reject the canon of the Old Testament. In the nineteenth century, two theologians who followed Marcion's ideology reappeared. That is why Marcion's theology becomes the rationale for research as an awareness of the phenomena that can reappear in the present and in the future. This paper examines the background of Marcion's life to the things that influenced the birth of Marcion's understanding of the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament, including the actions of the church at that time and the influence of Marcion which continued to grow until the nineteenth century, especially those affecting Friedrich Delitzsch and Adolf Harnack. . This paper also follows up on the research step by synthesizing the views of theologians about the fact that God's nature is comprehensive and constitutes a continuous unity through God's attributes. So that it is hoped that Marcionism or the teaching of dogma will not arise, doctrines that are interpreted by rejecting the canon of the Bible and can be justified.]]>

<![CDATA[This article describes the theory of the sociology of knowledge from Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann which is reviewed in their best-selling book entitled “The Social Construction of Reality: A Treatise in the Sociology of Knowledge”. The research was conducted by conducting a "book review" on the substance of Berger and Luckmann's ideas about social construction based on reality, especially regarding the construction of knowledge. Berger and Luckmann argue that knowledge as reality is the result of individual struggles in daily life experiences where there is always a dialectic between objective and subjective elements and a dialectic between the dimensions of internalization, objectivation and externalization processes that make meaning in human existence. Thus the sociology of knowledge advocated by Berger and Luckmann includes knowledge as a result of reflection on individual experiences in their environment and community which can also be called "empirical sociology". The relevance of such a theory of knowledge construction provides significance and a foothold for humans as learners and the idea of independent learning.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of technology is so massive, that humans are no longer called only social and spiritual beings, but there is a new label attached to humans, namely digital beings (homo digitalis). This label is given because of seeing the human condition that is so active not only in the reality of the social environment, but also in the virtual reality environment. By using descriptive analysis which is part of the literature research method, the author analyzes the humans condition in the digital era. Not only is it socially useful to grow - in this case, there is another social space that is virtual - but also in this digital era, the opportunity to use every available platform to spread the Gospel of God's Kingdom. Humans, who are digital and spiritual beings, seek identity and spiritual nourishment not longer in church buildings but also on every platform provided in cyberspace. Therefore, churches that are only busy closing themselves in and do not participate in using social media as an evangelistic platform will be left behind.]]>

<![CDATA[Mystical theology is often underestimated and labeled as theology that does not touch the problems of life. This article attempts to further examine the existence of mystical theology by examining and exploring the nature of mystical theology from the story of Paul's mystical experience in II Cor. 12:1-10 which is compared to Bima's mystical experience in Dewa Ruci's story. By using qualitative methods, especially narrative studies of the two mystical stories, a new understanding is found that mystical theology is not a floating theology, but an earthly theology, because mystical theology invites humans to be directly involved in the life and suffering of the world to find a way out of the problem of suffering. man. In order for mystical theology to be grounded in Indonesia, biblical mystical theology needs to be contextualized with culture so that it can be familiar to Indonesian human life. For this reason, churches in Indonesia need to develop contextual mystical theology as a form of theology with a social-praxis nuance, based on the events of Christ (Faith) and grounded in Indonesian life (contextual).]]>
