Abstract

Creative and effective methods for achieving the goals of Christian education. The aim of learning is not just to master concepts knowledge and be skilled in motor skills, but to change attitudes. The method used is qualitative, using the study of literature that is the Bible and reference books. Both school and outside school students have a good signal and people of students are satisfied with the character changes that occur in students, so the methods used are very effective. Methods should not be the main thing by ignoring teaching. The method is used to support teaching so that educational goals are achieved. The various methods will help students to understand the teaching material delivered. The teaching-learning process must be done by various methods. Teachers must have the ability to teach both cognitively, psychomorically, and affective to achieve the goals of Christian religious education. Hold everything that you have heard from me as an example of sound teaching and do it in faith and love in Christ Jesus.

Abstract

Humans are interpretive beings; a creature that is always seeking meaning and understanding reality outside of himself. The process of understanding and understanding continues and is productive as long as humans are and exist in this life. As long as there is an effort to interpret and understand, hermeneutics play a role. This paper tries to see hermeneutic understanding as a means of criticizing the absoluteness and dominance of meaning and understanding from the perspective of Derrida Deconstruction. Hermeneutics in the perspective of deconstruction provides important space for readers and their context in constructing meaning. The various meanings and understandings are appreciated as a necessity of a process of reading texts. Through Derrida's glasses, deconstruction becomes a reflective tool to open new awareness and new possibilities, which may have been missed in the effort to understand

Abstract

Sexuality for some people is often considered a taboo thing to talk about but among young people this is important to know especially among students. Because in the era of openness of various information, it becomes interesting to discuss sexuality in various studies. The purpose of this study is to ethically study theological issues of sexuality in the understanding of students of the Theological Theology Faculty at the Indonesian Christian University of Tomohon by using descriptive qualitative research methods and using the theories of Malcolm Brownlee and J. L. Abineno and trying to study them in Bible view.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the results of ecological education research on the use of family medicinal plants in the GMIM Kakaskasen Maranatha Church. Education ranging from children to old age in cultivating family medicinal plants that are believed to have great benefits. Family medicinal plants are useful for preserving nature, the greening movement, herbs and medicines for human health. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews with four members of the congregation and literature studies such as books, journals, theses, internet. The results of this study indicate that ecological education in cultivating family medicinal plants does not attract the attention of young people, but is of interest to elderly mothers and women to mothers. The impact of ecological education as a marker of human reconciliation with nature. Apart from oneself, church and culture play a role in educating and preserving nature.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of temptation in James 1: 12-18 and its implementation for the GMIM Syaloom Tompasobaru Dua Church. This research is a descriptive qualitative research based on observation and interviews. Whereas for text research uses a literary study approach, especially historical criticism. From the results of the text research it is found that James's main advice emphasizes the Jewish Christian community to be happy, rejoice and even become a person who endures trials when facing trials without blaming God with the trials experienced by them . This is similar to what happened at the GMIM Syaloom Tompasobaru Church, which still understands trials not from the positive side.

Abstract

This article discusses the reality of diversity by using the concept of "multiculturalism". In political projects, multiculturalism includes the constitutional-based civil society movement fighting for equality and justice. In the context of Indonesia, Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution are the basis of a multicultural political constitution. Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe and understand how the thought of John Calvin who was a famous reformer figure from time to time. Calvin paid great attention to Christian education especially in the church. He arranged systematically the way, the content of the teaching, as well as the qualifications, self-image of the teachers both pastors and religious teachers who were all based on the Bible and to glorify God. The method used in this paper is a qualitative research method with a literature study study in which the researcher reviews, compares, formulates and analyzes Calvin's thoughts both in his life context, his thoughts through books, documents, journals and other relevant literature studies. From the findings it can be said that Calvin's educative theological thought is purely based on the Bible. For Calvin, the teaching of the Christian faith is determined by the Bible and interpretations that are right and right and can have a good influence on the church and society. Calvin is always thinking of the right way so that the quality of the faith of the congregation continues to develop well and can be implemented in a variety of social life. In the midst of challenges today the church is required not to be carried away by various kinds of ideas that do not emphasize the Bible as the basis of human life. As it was done, Calvin the priests, teachers of religion today are required with full responsibility to think deeply about ways to continue to nourish the true Christian faith based on the Scriptures so that the quality of their faith is well preserved and lives glorifying God.

Abstract

Tolerance is an attitude or behavior that respects and respects all other people's actions as long as the actions are in accordance with the rules and norms in the existing community. The tolerance of fellow human beings can be manifested in the life of religious tolerance. This study aims to: Know the adaptation strategies of Christian minorities in maintaining a life attitude of religious tolerance. This research was conducted in Tuntung Timur Village, Pinogaluman Subdistrict, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency for 3 (three) months, from October to December 2019. This research method was qualitative with the technique of determining the sample / informant was selected by purposive sampling to obtain the required data. The sampling technique is done by snowball sampling. Based on the results of research on social adaptation strategies undertaken by Christian minority communities in maintaining the attitude of religious tolerance, namely: Adaptation Strategies Based on Norms of Life consisting of: 1). Abstract

This research is a meaning of Ma'kaaruyen; a traditional musical work of art originating from Minahasa. Ma'kaaruyen is assumed to be one of the arts that reflects the life of the Minahasa community. Through a musicalological approach to the analysis of musical elements and the analysis of the texts of the Ma'kaaruyen song, meaning is found that integrates with the values ​​of the life of the Minahasa community. In the musical meaning it is known that Ma'kaaruyen has musical elements that form this song included in the category of melancholy singing, so that with lyrics or without lyrics this song is a melancholy song that is able to influence the soul. Ma'kaaruyen's extramusical meanings of the musical elements refer to the nature and character of traditional Minahasa community life, including: rhythm, melody, intervals, harmony, texture, and song form. The elements of music in Ma'kaaruyen are a reflection of the character and nature of traditional Minahasa society, which is associated with simplicity, calmness, gentleness, cooperation (mapalus), and mutual affection. Ma'kaaruyen's extramusical meaning from lyrics is that Ma'kaaruyen is a song that conveys religious messages, advice, affection, and expressions of heart (lamentations and regrets).

Abstract

In the learning process that involves material, methods, media props and so on must also experience changes towards renewal (innovation). Based on the problems seen, it is related to the improvement of Christian learning achievement by applying expository teaching models to grade VI students of SD Inpres Pondang. The purpose of this study in order to determine the increase in Christian learning achievement after applying expository teaching model. In this study using action research and data obtained from formative tests, observation sheets of teaching, and learning activities of students. The results of the study found that student achievement has increased from cycle I (51%) to cycle II (89%). Through this research, it can be said that the expository teaching model can positively influence achievement, interest, attention, and participation, learning motivation of SD Inpres Pondang students, and this learning model can be used as alternative learning of Protestant Christianity.
