Abstract

This research examines how applicable laws in Indonesia protect tourists with disabilities in Dieng Tourism Destinations. Although there are many regulations made in Indonesia to protect the rights of people with disabilities, their implementation in the tourism sector is often not optimal. This research aims to determine the extent to which Indonesian law protects tourists with disabilities in Dieng Tourism Destinations.  The rights of persons with disabilities have been regulated in various laws, such as Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities and Law Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism, as well as Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The research methods used in this study were the empirical legal method and qualitative research. Fieldwork was conducted at the Dieng tourism destinations, and interviews were conducted with various stakeholders, such as the site managers, tourists with disabilities, and the local government of Wonosobo Regency, involving five respondents. The results of the study indicate that, although there are laws regulating the rights of people with disabilities, they have not been effectively implemented in practice. Several tourist sites do not yet meet all accessibility requirements. As part of respecting human rights and promoting sustainable tourism development, the local government, tourism industry stakeholders, and the community must work to make Dieng tourism inclusive and disability-friendly.

Abstract

Spatial thinking is essential in geography learning for understanding human-space relationships, yet conventional instruction often fails to develop higher-order spatial reasoning. This study examines the effectiveness of a geospatially integrated Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on students’ spatial thinking skills, while accounting for learning styles as a moderating variable. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control-group design was employed, involving 425 tenth-grade students from SMAN 1 Batu. Two purposively selected classes served as the experimental (geospatial PjBL using Google Earth) and control (lecture-based instruction) groups. Results showed that the geospatially integrated PjBL model significantly improved students' spatial thinking abilities (p < 0.001). The most substantial improvement occurred in the Tools of Representation dimension, followed by the Concepts of Space and the Cognitive Processes to Evaluate Spatiality dimensions. Moreover, students with kinesthetic and audio-visual learning styles showed greater improvement than those with purely auditory or visual preferences. These findings suggest that integrating geospatial technology into PjBL strengthens spatial visualization and cognitive processes through active, contextual experiences. This study contributes by integrating learning styles as a moderating variable into geospatial PjBL, an underexplored area.

Abstract

This study aims to improve teachers' learning motivation and discipline through the implementation of the PAIKEM MANJA program at SD Negeri 2 Kupuk Bungkal Ponorogo. The background of this research is the low level of teachers' motivation and discipline, which affects the quality of the learning process. This study employed school action research using a cyclical model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were nine teachers at SD Negeri 2 Kupuk. Data were collected through observation sheets, documentation, and reflective notes, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers' motivation and discipline after the implementation of the PAIKEM MANJA program. Teachers' learning motivation increased from 33% in the pre-cycle to 77% in Cycle II, while teachers' discipline improved from 33% to 78%. These findings indicate that the PAIKEM MANJA program is effective in fostering professional attitudes, enhancing motivation, and strengthening discipline among elementary school teachers. The implementation of PAIKEM MANJA also contributed to creating a more active, innovative, and enjoyable learning environment. This study recommends the ongoing implementation of PAIKEM MANJA as a sustainable strategy to enhance teacher professionalism in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of traditional cuisine as a medium for lived citizenship in the formation of national character. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a focused ethnography design, this research was conducted at warung pecel (traditional food stalls) in Madiun City from December 2025 to January 2026. Data were gathered through focused observation, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation, which were then analyzed inductively through the lenses of the sociology of citizenship and public space. The results indicate that warung pecel functions as an egalitarian and inclusive civic space imbued with citizenship values. Social practices such as communal seating regardless of social class, the ethics of "geser-geseran", fair queuing, the use of pincuk, and informal public discourse manifest social citizenship, cultural nationalism, and ecological awareness in everyday life. This study concludes that citizenship and national character are not solely constructed through formal education and legalistic approaches, but also through grounded, repetitive cultural practices. The implications of this research underscore the need to reconceptualize learning resources for Pancasila and Civic Education by leveraging local cultural spaces as social laboratories for citizenship.

Abstract

AI-based musicalization media were developed as an alternative learning method that integrates social studies material in the form of songs, supported by artificial intelligence technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of AI-based musicalization media on students' motivation and learning outcomes at SMPN 1 Donomulyo. This study was motivated by the suboptimal use of interactive learning media, which led to low student motivation and learning outcomes. The study used a quantitative, nonequivalent control-group design. The research subjects were students of class IX A as the experimental class and class IX B as the control class. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire and an essay test on social studies learning outcomes, and analyzed using a MANOVA. Based on the Multivariate Test table, an F value of 45.562 was obtained, with a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that AI-based musicalization media have a simultaneous effect on students' motivation and social studies learning outcomes. This finding confirms that AI media is recommended as an alternative social studies learning method in line with the development of educational technology.
