Abstract

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is an outcome-based or achievement-based learning system. The system emphasizes the achievements of student learning that must be identified first (for example, students must have the attainment of knowledge about something that must be mastered or students must have skills that must be achieved, for example, having to know knowledge about websites and having to be able to make webs) which can then be used as a basis for determining the future, planning what learning methods are, and assessments (assignments, quizzes, presentations, tests, etc.) adjusted to these outputs (results of statistical analysis of previous results/outcomes). In contrast to traditional learning, the major attention is on the teaching and learning process that adapts to the material in the syllabus. In addition, the assessment in conventional learning uses the knowledge that must be achieved, while the OBE assessment process uses a predetermined outcome level. The outcome to be determined and achieved is determined based on the stakeholder (alumni, graduate, company/workplace, or someone who has an interest and is bound by the study program or course that adapts to the needs of the company or workplace), if traditional learning only uses the syllabus or material that has been determined which is relatively the same every year.

Abstract

This research examines the correlation between leadership politics and health security in handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia (Surabaya City area). This research focuses on the Omicron cases in Indonesia, from February 1, 2022, to April 4, 2022. This study examines the public response to policies issued by the Government to tackle the spread of the Covid-19 virus, precisely vaccination policies and the implementation of activity restrictions. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a structured questionnaire survey observations and interviews to measure public responses to the policy created by leaders. Theoretical and empirical evidence shows that public trust in Government is critical to general compliance with social policies. The survey results that have been carried out show solid public belief in the Government when controlling COVID-19 during the Omicron, which is indicated by the public's interest in adopting proportional health behaviors following vaccination policies and restrictions on social activities. Interview responses from health medical personnel and political elites, the House of Representatives as policy supervisors, showed that the surge of patients during the Omicron wave could handle because prevention was more prepared to prevent the risk of death. In addition, the public accepts government policies that are more organized in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic during the Omicron by conveying information. So this perception with a higher level of trust in the Government. The Government of Indonesia's leadership practices appears to be on the right track regarding public health security measures during the Omicron wave. Therefore, the expression of public trust is not something instant. It is influenced by public confidence in the policy presented and processed by the Government so that faith in obeying the rules can control people's behavior.

Abstract

Nationalism, national defense education, and eco-awareness are relatable. While nationalism is considered a value instilled in one’s heart, national defense is defined as an attitude of realizing nationalism through activities that share the same objectives - protecting, defending, and growing the nation. One good way to instill the character of nationalism is by utilizing literature, specifically creative children’s literacy, through the digital platform which is inclusively accessible nowadays. It is expected to spread the awareness of nationalism values in children. This study observed the knowledge obtained by children in Taman Baca Masyarakat (Public Library) RW 02 Pradah Kali Kendal, represented in a story writing activity. The value of state defense introduced is limited to three aspects – anticorruption, eco-awareness, and culture-awareness. This study finds that children in Public Library RW 02 Pradah Kali Kendal obtained knowledge about nationalism values and awareness well. The children are also willing to apply a digital platform to spread their values and understanding through children’s literacy. It represents the creative literacy writings written by the children in Public Library RW 02 Pradah Kali Kendal.

Abstract

Masaran Village is one of the tourist villages located in Trenggalek Regency. This village is located adjacent to the south coast with a distance of approximately 40 km from the district government center. Masaran Village has also developed various tourist attractions and activities offered to tourists, including mangrove education and turtle conservation, beach safaris, fun games, camping tours, outbound. The Mutiara Laut Sumbreng Pokmaswas was established in 2013 located in Masaran Village, Munjungan District. This community group, which is active in turtle conservation and beach cleaning, consists of 23 people, 12 of whom are women. So far, the Fisheries Service has provided more training on fish management and turtle care, so the Pokmaswas submitted assistance funds to the Village Government to conduct counseling and training, but with new regulations directing village funds to handle Covid, the Village Government has not dared to budget for training to Pokmaswas. So that the role of universities is needed in helping partner problems. The proposal team has formulated one priority issue, namely the lack of tourism innovation in the turtle conservation area in Masaran Village. Based on the priority issues above, the proposing team provided an alternative solution for the PIKAT program, namely the holding of training on making turtle souvenirs from coconut shells and coconut husks typical of Masaran Village. PIKAT community service activities are carried out using three methods, namely 1) asset-based community development (ABCD) as a method of social approach to the community, 2) counseling and training on making souvenirs from coconut shells, and 3) producing souvenirs from coconut shells in the form of turtles. turtle. Meanwhile, the mandatory outputs include print and electronic media articles, publications on YouTube, modules, intellectual property rights, and the MBKM program with a minimum conversion of 2 credits for students.

Abstract

The handling of transnational crimes, namely corruption, requires the support of cooperation with other countries, both informally and formally between countries. The regulation of asset return is stated in the Opening of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption in 2003. Assets resulting from corruption crimes by perpetrators are mostly taken abroad and recovery in Indonesia faces challenges and obstacles. One of the factors that become an obstacle in the process of returning assets resulting from corruption transnationally is related to the return of assets when the requesting country and the requested country do not have bilateral agreements such as extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance. The problems that will be raised in this study are (1) how is the implementation of requests for mutual legal assistance in criminal matters (MLA) for perpetrators of corruption? Abstract

East Java has some famous and potential tourist places, one of which is in Trenggalek. Trenggalek is rich in natural resources such as beaches, mountains, and forests to name a few. Therefore, Trenggalek claimed to have big potential in East Java tourism in 2022. In 2021, the government of Trenggalek already set the target to build and develop 100 tourist villages by 2024. In 2022, 35 tourist villages have been built all around Trenggalek. Skilled tour guides are strongly required to promote Trenggalek as a promising and potential tourism destination in East Java. These tour guides have to master and comprehend English as an international language. Tour guides who can use and speak English well can gain more foreign tourists and make Trenggalek not only famous in East Java and Indonesia but also in wider scopes. Therefore, a PIKAT team of UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur held a community service program, “English for Tour Guide” in Dongko, Trenggalek, East Java. The team has run this program since July; split into two sessions; offline and online session. The offline session was held in July, at Taman Watu Kandang, Pandean, Dongko, and Trenggalek, and continued with an online session in August via Zoom. Both the offline and online programs were successfully held. The participants joined the program enthusiastically and actively. This community service was supported by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Trenggalek. In the future, the team expects to widen the scope of this community service program.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic University Social Responsibility in Indonesia. This is a literature review study that was conducted by searching the keyword “Islamic university social responsibility” and filtered to specific literature that refers to the implementation of university social responsibility in Islamic Universities in Indonesia. The results show that not many University Social Responsibility studies are related to Islam because in measuring University Social Responsibility they still use green accounting indicators that consist of environmental awareness, environmental involvement, environmental reporting, and environmental audit. Numerous research has been found to suggest fresh approaches to adopting university social responsibility, like using the Maslahah or Maqashid Syariah concepts. These new models are anticipated to address issues with reporting environmental activities for which there are no guidelines and to offer direction in adopting USR, which is linked to Islamic religious values.
