Abstract

A woman’s quality of life is determined by their physical, psychosocial, and sexual function. These functions are impaired with pelvic organ prolapse (POP), causing a vast burden, individually and globally. With its geographic location, the coastal community may have difficulties in seeking medical attention as the health care facilities provided are limited. To date, no study has been conducted to identify the POP prevalence rate among the coastal community of Riau Province as one of the coastal areas in Indonesia. This study aims to help in determining problems caused by POP, eventually designing effective prevention and treatment strategies to be proposed to health policymakers. This is a quantitative study with all reproductive ages (20 – 44 years old) and >44 years old women in 4 coastal areas in Riau Province (Bengkalis, Dumai, Siak, and Pekanbaru) as the key population. The validated Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory (PFDI) questionnaire in Bahasa Indonesia is used to assess the POP prevalence rate. Out of 343 participants, 204 (63,75%) had POP. The highest POP incidence rate was found in Bengkalis, with a total of 61 (30%) participants with POP. Dumai, Siak, and Pekanbaru had the incidence rate of 59 (29%), 59 (29%), and 25 (12%) consequently. Based on this study, due to the high prevalence of POP, the authors agreed that effective prevention and treatment strategies are needed to prevent the severity and further development of POP.

Abstract

The skin has several functions which related to each other. It consists of 3 layers with EHT epidermis on the top layer. It serves to provide a barrier of protection against skin external threats and has one of the important functions of the skin. The structure of the stratum corneum is the main factor that regulates the transportation of fluid in the skin to retain skin moisture. One of the characteristics of healthy skin is moisture. Dry skin is prone to dermatoses, such as dermatitis. Since skin moisture is important, we need to measure the level of water in the epidermis. The faster the diagnosis, the faster the treatment. This study uses a cross-sectional design, conducted at one of the general hospitals in Pekanbaru. Skin moisture examination was carried out by determining the percentage of water content in the epidermis using a portable skin analyzer on the skin surface of healthy people, and normal (non-lesional skin lesions) of subjects diagnosed with dermatitis. The mean of subjects without dermatoses is 36,4, the non-lesional skin of subjects with dermatoses is 36.4, and the skin lesion of the subject was 12,6. Data were analyzed by t-test. There is a significant difference between non-lesional and lesional skin with a p-value <0,05.

Abstract

Clinical and laboratory learning is imperative in achieving the competency target of nursing students. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, learning must be done online; therefore, the practice of laboratory and clinical learning could only be conducted somewhat. The development of virtual learning media that minimizes face-to-face and represents clinical and laboratory situations is urgently needed nowadays. This research aims to develop a VRS storyboard as the media for learning cases of the cardiovascular system. This research followed Research and Development (R&D), which were shortened into 5 steps (literature review, concept creation, concept model development, model testing and evaluation, and content model evaluation). The storyboard and case framework was developed from the results of FGDs and workshops and based on the NLN/ Jeffries Simulation model. The study's findings indicate the availability of nursing care storyboards about cases of Cardiovascular Disorders for student simulations based on best nursing practices consisting of learning objectives, scenes, actions, challenges, and elements of transfer, as well as opportunities to ask questions. The storyboard format allows interactive learning in terms of material, practice in nursing care skills, and nursing actions in a safe and immersive environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Patients at ITS Medical Center are the main subject of the healthcare business process. they tend to expect satisfactory service especially when ITS Medical Center serves as a first-rate health facility for BPJS. At the time of this research pre-conducted, their business process has not been visually described in the Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), which makes management cannot foresee the efficient business process. Previous research on the implementation of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) in the Emergency Department shows the possibility to apply VSM in a clinic. Therefore, we decided to evaluate the existing business processes by gathering information from the Event Log Review and conducting employee interviews. To propose future business processes, we followed the Lean Manufacturing practice from Toyota always looks at product value from the customer's point of view. The evaluation consists of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) between four actors; doctor, patients, medical records department, and pharmacy. Continued picturing it using VSM using criteria of ineffectiveness from Lean Manufacturing. ITS Medical Center's current VSM shows three areas of opportunities for improvement consisting of Movement, Transportation, and Extra Process. Whereas its future VSM finding results from the comparison of the current with the future business process, predicted that service time can be faster by a ratio of 8%, non-value-added time is reduced by 15%, and at the end of the day, average inefficiency is reduced by 27.54%. With more than quarterly efficiency can be decision support for new business model improvement and implementation.

Abstract

When deciding where to sell souvenirs, a city takes into account many criteria to improve its added value in the future. The process of identifying crucial factors to consider when choosing a site is completed. Land area, distance from trading operations, proximity to public transportation, proximity to tourist sites, and traffic flow are some of these criteria. It is required to utilize a decision support system to choose the location of the development for the souvenir center based on this choice. The location of development can be determined using this method using a variety of variables. A ranking of many alternative places is what this system produces. so that a city might use it as a guide when figuring out where to put the center for souvenir development. The Preference Ranking Organizational Method for Enrichment Evaluation is one of the techniques used in deciding where to build the souvenir center (PROMETHEE). In multi-criteria analysis, PROMETHEE is a technique for establishing the hierarchy. The PROMETHEE approach can be used to make decisions in the areas of marketing, human resources, site selection, and other areas involving alternative selection.

Abstract

The bread production process and sales strategy are two things that determine the success of sales in a bakery. Evaluation of production systems and changing sales strategies at the bakery can increase sales value. This research aims to implement simulation and data mining on bread's production and sales process at a predetermined location. With this method, we can change the business strategy as needed without having to waste a lot of time and money. As a result of the simulation, we found that the third scenario succeeded in speeding up the bread production time by 4 times. Rounding, Inspection, Baking, and Packaging utilities are 0.43, 0.67, 0.34, and 0.46, respectively. As a result of data mining, we found that more than 33% of those who buy cakes (pastry) also buy bread. this can be a reference for changing sales strategy. The novelty of this study is that it combines two methods of analyzing business processes, namely simulation, and data mining.

Abstract

Performance presumably improves and develops the quality of an organization’s products and services. This study analyzed some factors that are likely contributing to informal worker performance as the informal sector has distinct characteristics from the formal one because it is a more flexible setting with no hierarchical position nor fixed income which usually drives worker performance. We analyze worker performance at one of the Agro-Fish Markets in Indonesia, located in Lamongan, East Java. The multifactor leadership questionnaire (MLQ) was used for formulating the leadership styles, while motivation was measured using the multidimensional work motivation scale (MMWS), which was based on Self-determination Theory (SDT). Safety culture was measured using a questionnaire based on the safety culture approach. Performance was assessed using the behavioral anchor rating scale (BARS). The research design is causal explanatory. Our study involved 171 workers. We use the binary logistic regression to identify the relationship between leadership style, motivation, and age towards safety culture as well as the relationship between safety culture and age towards worker performance. We found that safety culture and age could impact 40.1% on worker performance. Although motivation directly impacted safety culture, the study found that it had an indirect impact on performance. The agro-fish market's characteristics as an informal sector may explain why the findings differ from research on the formal sector.

Abstract

This research is being conducted to learn more about the impact of Profitability, leverage, and liquidity on the corporation's ability to moderate prices for the subsector manufacturing corporations in Indonesia's Food and Beverages markets (BEI). The 4 years period used for the research period is referred to as the periode 2017-2020. Purposive sampling is the method that is used in sampling. There are 14 businesses based on the criteria that have been established. The kind of data being used is second-level data obtained from the Bursa Efek Indonesia website. Regression data panel analysis is an analytical method used in this study. Data analysis methodology using Eviews 9.0. The findings of this study's uji-T panel indicate that the parsimonious variables Profitability, which is correlated with Return on Equity (ROE), and liquidity, which is correlated with Current Ratio (CR), have a negative impact on the level of laba. However, leverage that is correlated with a low DER (Debt to Equity Ratio) is in influenceive and harmful. In addition to that, the corporation's size is limited to controlling the impact of Profitability as measured by return on equity (ROE) and liquidity as measured by current ratio (CR) on the lab floor. On the other hand, Corporation Size is unable to control leverage that is measured in terms of the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) in relation to Surplus Improvement.

Abstract

Hirschsprung's disease, occurs 75% occur after six weeks from birth, characterized by aganglionosis of the rectum and sigmoid regions. Rectography is usually used to detect the presence of a rectocele or small-size rectal neoplasms with MR examination. In another study, an examination of the colon can be done with an MRI examination by looking at the enlargement of the colon wall. However, it has the disadvantages of a long duration of examination time, inaccuracy in detecting the entire colon anatomy, and peristaltic artifacts caused by distention of the colon wall. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of rectography examination of neonatal patients with Hirschsprung's disease in the colon in loop examination technique. This type of research is a case study with an observational approach to rectography examination on the neonatal colon in-loop examination techniques. Rectography techniques can be used as an additional examination technique to ascertain the presence of Hirschsprung's pathology, especially in transition areas that are difficult to reach if only using the colon-in-loop examination technique.

Abstract

Most women experience menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) before and during menstruation. The prevalence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia reaches 64.25%, consisting of 54.89% primary dysmenorrhea and 9.36% secondary dysmenorrhea. The incidence of dysmenorrhea among women of reproductive age ranges from 45% - 95%. Primary dysmenorrhea is experienced by 60% - 75% of adolescents. Many risk factors for dysmenorrhea have been identified, one of which is the anatomy of the reproductive organs. Anogenital distance (AGD) is the distance from the midpoint of the anus to the clitoris. Intrauterine estrogen exposure causes a shortened AGD, so this is a predictor of endometriosis with symptoms of dysmenorrhea. This study aims to determine the difference between AGD in adolescents with dysmenorrhea and non-dysmenorrhea. The sample of this study was 93 students of the Faculty of Medicine, Riau University, Class of 2020 and 2021. The results showed that the average age of the respondents was 19 years. As many as 73% of respondents experienced dysmenorrhea. The median of AGD in the dysmenorrhea group was 0,33 and the non-dysmenorrhea group was 0.43. There was a significant difference in the mean AGD between the two groups. It can be concluded that the size of the AGD can be a predictor of dysmenorrhea.
