Abstract

This research aims to improve the quality of the learning process and the result of learning process Thisresearch is a quasi experimental study. This research subject is class gared IV-A, IV-B and IV-C Public Elementary School Manggis Cicurug Sukabumi. Analysis technique used for pre-requisites analysis test which includes normality test, homogenity test, and hypothesis test using t-test. In the normality test with liliefors test showed that the class experiment 1 Ltestvalue is (0,144) with Ltable of (0,149), the class experiment 2 Ltestvalueis (0,074) with Ltable of (0,154), while the control class Ltestvalue is (0,151) with Ltable of (0,161), so that the value of Ltestfor all data ≤ than the value of Ltable with the significant standard is α= 0,05%, all data gives normal distribution. In the homogeneity with bartlett test Xtest value is (3,208) ≤ with Xtable of (5,991). In the hypothesis test with t-test showed that the class experiment 1 and the control class ttestvalue is (14,12) ≥ than ttable of (1,99394), the class experiment 2 ant the control class ttestvalue is (9,96) ≥ than ttable of (1,99962), while the class experiment 1 and the class experiment 2 ttestvalue is (2,83)≥ than ttable of (1,99656), therefore all the data showed that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. Based on this research, it can be concludedthat there are differences of result between the using cooperative learning model guided inquiry and student teams achievement divisions.

Abstract

Education is one of the human development index of Indonesia, certainly requires analysis and philosophical thinking to formulate the fundamental purpose and deep. Writing aims to examine the thinking of education in Indonesia and contributions as well as the implications in the world of education. Philosophically, the thoughts of a character education Indonesia was influenced by the ideology of Pancasila. In addition, historical background and religion also affect the flow of thought the character of education.

Abstract

Idealisme pembentukan watak kewarganegaraan (civic disposition) menuju peradaban bangsa yang bermartabat dan menjadikan warga negara yang baik dan cerdas (smart and good citizen) merupakan misi suci (mission sacre) dari civic education.Implementasi pembelajaran civic education di Indonesia terlalu menekankan pada aspek kognitif dan mengabaikan aspek afektif, sehingga hanya menciptakan warga negara yang cerdas namun kurang memiliki watak yang baik. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang hakikat pembelajaran civic education, konsep civic dispostion dalam civic educationdan pembelajaran civic cducation untuk mengembangkan civic disposition. Salah satu kunci keberhasilan yang amat penting dalam mengembangkan civic disposition dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis nilai (value based approach).

Abstract

Government land on the island of Ambon and Lease Islands experienced changes very significantly in each period. For this study wanted to see how the development of the State Government in Central Maluku in the early 20th century until 1942. To get an answer to problems above do research using the historical method consists of four stages: heuristics, external and internal criticism, interpretation and historiography. In analyzing the dta applied to some of the concepts and theories of other social sciences to get a historical explanation. The results of this study concluded that the rules regulating government turns the country on the island of Ambon and Lease Islands is not just limited to 2004 because there are rules issued by the local government to better explain the procedures for land administration system on the island of Ambon and Lease Islands. From 1824 until now there have been changes in the lowest administration system in Indonesia, including Maluku, causing conflict between communities within a country on the island of Ambon and Lease Islands. For the archives of these rules will respont the problems that have been faced by people in Maluku.

Abstract

As a receptive skill, reading plays important role since it helps the readers to enhance their knowledge and also entertain them in their leisure time. In comprehending the text, foreign readers including EFL learners always face problems. Besides lack of vocabulary has become major problem, the strategy that use by teachers in teaching reading is sometimes monotonous. Other reason is that the strategy is not appropriate with the kind of text. In teaching narrative, for example, the teachers should select suitable strategy which can be used by students to comprehend that text easily. In this article, the writer wants to introduce the use of combination Dialogical Thinking and Highlighting strategy in teaching narrative text. In Dialogical Thinking, students learn to reflect and think critically about central story issue, while Highlighting gives students opportunities to mark important ideas in reading. This combination is worthy since it attracts students’ attention to the very specific information in reading passage. Moreover, the students are easy to find the answers for certain kind of questions.

Abstract

This study aimed to revea l the information about educational of Nuaulu clan communities in Ceram Island, Central Maluku regency which still hold their high socio-cultural value. How do they pass, teach and construct all socio-cultural value to their next generation in order they can still maintain what they have so it can grew together one another in peace and harmony? To answer these questions, the researcher needed to explore more detail in understanding about Nuaulu clan in socio-cultural educational in their family and environment around them. Research metodologi used in this research was qualitative research by using study cases appropriate. Based on the analysis of issue, the researcher stateted the key informants were selected by purposive with snowball sampling based on the consideration of the fasibility and research purposes, namely the case of the five family of Nuaulu clan which have a central role in the lives of community of Nuaulu clan. While the supporting informants were those who consider worthy of giving information related to the research objectives. Based on the result of the data, Education and Socio-cultural Value (ESDV) with in the families and the rest of Nuaulu society had been done through ritual of traditional ceremony as signed to meet and individual growth in their live especially since pregnancy (9 months), birth, adult (women and men) and marriage as well as their characteristic of the seven elements of culture. The result of this research shown that there were several meaningful traditional ceremonies and characteristics Nuaulu clan. The great value was relefan, integrative and contributive to the socio-cultural value of education, so it needs to be developed.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan investigasi untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang profil learning progression mahasiswa calon guru SD setelah aktivitas Visual Multimedia Supported Conceptual Change Text (VMMSCCText). Sebelumnya, VMMSCCText telah dikembangkan untuk memfasilitasi learning progression mahasiswa calon guru SD hanya dengan membaca text. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil learning progression mahasiswa calon guru SD terkait konsep benda netral setelah mengikuti aktivitas VMMSCCText. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang diimplementasikan pada 30 orang mahasiswa PGSD FKIP Universitas Riau pada mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA. Profil learning progression pada mahasiswa diinvestigasi dengan uji diagnostik dalam format four tier test (FTT) dan penilaian pada LKM, kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan tipe learning progression. Tipe learning progression terdiri dari 1) Konsisten dengan konsepsi ilmiah (Tipe I); 2) Berprogres dengan baik (Tipe II); 3) Tidak berprogres (Tipe III); dan Mengalami Degradasi (Tipe IV). Hasil penelitian dengan VMMSCCText menunjukkan tipe I sekitar 13,33%, tipe II sekitar 80%, tipe III 6,67% dan tipe IV sekitar 0%. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa VMMSCCText mampu meremediasi miskonsepsi dan mengembangkan learning progression mahasiswa calon guru SD.

Abstract

This study purpose to a) assess the effectiveness of self-control training to address bullying behavior of students, b) Conduct training self-control to overcome the bullying behavior of students. To achieve that goal then used experimental research design with the one- group pretest-posttest design. hypotheses used are effective self-control training to resolve bullying behavior of students. Data obtained from 24 students who demonstrate bullying behavior. Analysis using t- test with SPSS version 16.0 of the calculation of the results found t> t table (7232> 1714). From the results of t-test analysis found that effective self-control training to address bullying behavior of students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran transformatif yang terjadi pada kegiatan perkuliahan di mata kuliah Konflik dan Integrasi Sosial dan Kehidupan Masyarakat Multikultural di prodi PLS Unpatti Ambon, tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis gambaran umum transformative learning dalam kegiatan perkuliahan di mata kuliah Konflik dan Integrasi Sosial dan Kehidupan Masyarakat Multikultural di prodi PLS, masalah-masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa dikedua mata kuliah tersebut, tindakan-tindakan transformatif seperti apa yang dilakukan oleh para dosen dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi mahasiswa, bagaimana dampak perubahan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa setelah memperoleh pembelajaran transformatif. Hasil penelitian : (1) Pembelajaran transformatif pada kedua mata kuliah ini mahasiswa dapat memiliki kemampuan mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai sosial budaya, dan mengubah persepsi atau cara pandang peserta didik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai masyarakat kampus ataupun sebagai masyarakat umum, serta memiliki kompetensi untuk memahami pendidikan multikultural sebagai upaya pemahaman keberagaman. (2) Konflik Sosial yang terjadi beberapa tahun lalu di Maluku, sudah jelas dapat mempengaruhi karakter para mahasiswa prodi PLS Unpatti Ambon dengan memiliki pemikiran-pemikiran yang negatif terhadap teman yang lain. (3) Pada mata kuliah Konflik dan Integrasi Sosial dalam kegiatan perkuliahan melalui kegiatan diskusi, curah pendapat, pembagian tugas-tugas kuliah berupa pribadi dan kelompok dengan menggunakan model ekspositori, selanjutnya mata kuliah Kehidupan Masyarakat Multikultural dengan menggunakan pembelajaran cooperative learning. (4) Dampak perubahan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa prodi PLS Unpatti Ambon, yang mana berpengaruh pada kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik. Yang mana berpengaruh pada pengetahuan yaitu mahasiswa sudah dapat mengetahui cara-cara pengendalian konflik dan menghindari konflik serta dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat kita sangat membutuhkan orang lain. Selanjutnya pada perubahan sikap, para mahasiswa sudah dapat membuka diri dan menerima kekurangan orang lain dan saling menghormati tanpa membedakan darimana orang itu berasal.

Abstract

This study aimed to facilitate students in an integrated learning approach to meet the purpose of teaching and learning. This listening–writing integrated teaching data was a survey research designe, to identify the intention, preference and benefit of students. The study aimed also to identify the case of theoritical proposition and the field practice. The data was taken from 58 English education study program students of 4th semest, those who were in the treatment of the teaching approach. Students’ responses to the questionnaires was in order to answer 2 research questions: what are students intentions, preferencec, and the benefits, and other suggestions of students toward the teaching approach. The data of research provided in approaching of Likert’s scale in the renge of 1 (strongly agree) to 5 (strongly disagree). However the questionnaires were designed more in positive view points towards the implementation rather than in negativesites. The questionnaire data was analysed using descriptive statistical operaion to see the average number of students’ responses and the frequency toward each of three points. By data analysis, the result shows that, 30 student (51,7%) strongly agree, 25 students (43,1% agree) 2 student 3,4% neutral, 1 student (1,7%) disagree to the intention. There were also 20 students ) 34,5% strongly agree, 33 (56% agree), 5 (8,6% neutral and none disagree for preferences, while, 12 (20,7% strongly agree, 41 students (70,7%) agree, 5 students (8,6%) neutral and none dis/or strongly agree with the benefit. Even in a quite strong data, but there were also great number of studsent complain in their hand writing note data. The complains are in the cases that (a) writing is difficult so, it should not be in parallel with listening, (b) writng created boringness, and their proportion of changing this (integrated) approach. From the two data, the possible conclussion is that there was benefit for the integrated listening-writing but a fully and detail explanation should have than become the consern on the awarenes of student
