Abstract

The tradition and local wisdom of the Bugis fishermen's community in the management of Lake Tempe is a visible social reality (phenomenon) in the form of a set of customs called Ade' Assamaturuseng. The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning (noumena) of the actions of Bugis fishermen in the use of Lake Tempe as a visible reality (phenomena) based on customary local prohibitions called Ade' Assamaturuseng (customs that are obeyed together). The research method used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach to the perspective of Alfred Schurtz. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The results of the research show that the prohibitions in the Ade' Assamaturuseng custom are the background contexts (because of the motives) for the actions or behavior of fishermen in utilizing Lake Tempe. These actions or behaviors have objective motives (in order motives) so that they contain meaning as in the statements of the research subjects about the custom. In Schurtz's phenomenological perspective, the meaning of fishermen's actions based on the customary prohibitions of Ade' Assamaturuseng, among others; (1) Means as a conservation effort; (2) Means social justice; (3) Meaning as the practice of belief and religion. From the findings, it can be understood that the traditions and local wisdom of Bugis fishermen in the management of Lake Tempe contain the dimensions of values in environmental conservation, togetherness (justice), and culture comprehensively. It can be seen that the behavior of the Bugis fishing community is very respectful of the natural environment as part of their lives and realizes the use of Lake Tempe sustainably and equitably.

Abstract

This study aims to identify objects or locations in the Ecotourism area of Rammang-Ramang Maros which can be used as a Geography Contextual Learning Laboratory). This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, which means that this research identifies and describes every object in the Rammang-Rammang Ecotourism location that can be studied using a geography approach, then mapped into a geography learning laboratory concept. This research utilizes primary data (observation) and secondary data (library study). The data collected, both primary and secondary, were processed, analyzed, and then mapped into geographic laboratory locations for students to use in contextual geography learning. The results showed that there were 6 (six) location points that could be used as a geography laboratory in the Rammang-Rammang ecotourism area. Each location describes a typical geographic study object from the aspects of hydrology, geology, geomorphology, and biodiversity. The six location points that have been plotted as a geography laboratory are Batu Forest (Tower Karts), Berua Village, Tunnel Cave, Berlian Cave, Bat Cave, and Bidadari Lake. The location is made as a geography learning laboratory because the six locations have geosphere phenomena that are relevant to some of the achievements of geography learning in the independent learning curriculum. So, this research has produced a geography laboratory that conceptually makes it easier for teachers and students to study contextual-based geography with the concept of outdoor study learning such as field trips or field studies.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the factors of online geography learning outcomes in class XI IIS SMAN 1 Samaturu. Learning outcomes' position was crucial and inseparable from the learning process. Learning outcomes can be used as an indicator of the success of the learning process. Low learning outcomes were a problem in the learning process, which is still developing, and solutions or factors that influence learning outcomes have yet to be found. This type of research uses quantitative descriptive. The subject of this study was students of class XI IIS, totalling 33 students. The technique used to collect data was a questionnaire. First, data analysis was carried out by giving student scores for each questionnaire item. Second, averaging student scores for all of these items, and third, determining student criteria. The results of this study obtained that the student's geography learning outcomes factor was the parental attention factor found in the indicators of giving awards, giving punishments, giving examples, giving guidance and helping difficulties and meeting students' learning needs. The last two indicators make a major contribution to low student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Population growth and the activities it carries out make the need for land increase, especially in the city center. Land in the city center which is increasingly limited and expensive is no longer able to be accessed by the community to support its activities so that these activities develop into suburban areas. Boja District is one of the suburban areas affected by the development of the City of Semarang, which is indicated by the growth of residential areas since 2010-2020. The purpose of this research is to find out what factors influence the development of suburban housing, Boja District, Kendal Regency. The analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive. Respondents are people who live in housing in the District of Boja. There are 9 variables used for factor analysis and 100 respondents to be surveyed. The research variables consist of livelihood, level of expenditure, length of stay, area of origin, number of family members, house prices, ease of buying a house, installment costs, and credit terms . This research is studied based on the pattern of housing development in suburban areas and the characteristics of housing residents. The results of this study are that there are 3 factors that influence housing development in Boja District, Kendal Regency, namely socio-economic factors consisting of level of expenditure, regional origin, length of stay and house prices, community consumption factors consisting of number of family members, installment costs and livelihoods, as well as risk factors consisting of the installment period and the ease of buying a house.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the backwardness of the region and the socio-cultural construction of the Besemah Pantauan Bunting tradition by revealing: 1) the process of the birth of the tradition, 2) the factors causing differences in the distribution of traditions in each region, and 3) existence in the tracking era of the Besemah Tribe. The research was conducted in Lahat District, South Sumatra using an interpretive paradigm, qualitative research types, and ethnographic methods. Data was obtained from primary and secondary sources. Data collection techniques were carried out through non-participant observation, interviews, documentation, and purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. In contrast, data analysis was carried out through continuous observation, triangulation, member checks, peer reviews, and reference adequacy checks. Based on the results of the study with Berger's social construction theory, social construction is formed through 3 (three) dialectical processes namely, the first externalization of the existence of Pantauan Bunting as part of the Besemah Tribe marriage which is intended to introduce the bride and groom to relatives and family so that a harmonious relationship is established in the period after marriage. Second, the process of objectivation through the implementing regulations for the Pantauan Bunting tradition succeeded in legitimizing the existence of this tradition in society. Third, the process of internalization through primary socialization by using customary institutions to move the community to be aware of their ancestral heritage so that they continue the tradition. The distribution of the Pantauan Bunting tradition varies in each region due to geographical and social factors. Even though it has entered the modern era, the existence of this tradition is still maintained by the Besemah people and we can still find it in various areas in Lahat Regency.
