Abstract

Improving quality of melons can be through by hydroponic cultivation, especially the hydroponic fertigation system. In fertigation system, fertilizer is given by gradually dropping in the substrate media so that roots can absorb nutrients quickly. Planting media as a place to support plants and nutrients are absorbed are known have effect to plant growth. While magnesium is an element that forms chlorophyll. A quality melon is characterized by its smooth, flawless skin, standard weight, and sweet taste. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using planting media and adding magnesium to the quality of melons. The results showed that the treatment of cocopeat and husk charcoal had a significant effect on the height of the melon plant, while the addition of Mg 10 g had a significant effect on the height and volume of melon. Treatment of planting media and the addition of magnesium did not significantly affect to the amount of dissolved solids (brix) of melons.

Abstract

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method using the case study method. Qualitative descriptive research aims to describe, summarize various conditions and phenomena of social reality that exist in society which are the object of research and draw these social realities to the surface. Data analysis includes descriptive analysis and economic analysis related to changes in recommended commodities according to land conditions after conversion of agricultural land functions and associated social values ​​analyzed. The results showed that 65 percent of farmers lost their agricultural land as a whole and the remaining 35 percent still owned their land intact. Farmers who lost their land changed jobs to become agricultural laborers, construction workers, breeders, traders and others who did not even work as much as 10 percent. Farmers who still cultivate agricultural crops choose to plant horticultural crops, namely eggplant, chilies, kale, string beans and green beans. Total revenue of farmers after the earthquake and liquefaction decreased by 35.46 percent. However, from the income side, there was an increase in post-earthquake income by 0.97 percent. The values ​​that change after a disaster are the value of rationality, economic value, the value of solidarity or mutual assistance and the value of education.

Abstract

Watershed has a purpose as a conservation area which needs to be performed to maintain environmental conditions from degradation. Beruk Village, Jatiyoso Sub-District is one of the watershed conservation areas. The Watershed which is administratively located in Karanganyar Regency is part of the Bengawan Solo watershed which has an important function as a water absorption area. This study aims is to find out to know the behavior of farmers in land management related to watershed conservation activitie. The method of research used is qualitative research with descriptive analysis. Deliberate location selection (purposive) in the village of Beruk District Jatiyoso Karanganyar Regency with consideration Beruk village is a red zone or disposed to to landslides so it is necessary to be considered in the management of land. Initial informant determination is done purposive sampling with key informants. This research is using triangulation method for data validation. The results showed that there is land management carried out by farmers in Beruk Village is adjusted to existing land conditions so as to protect the land from erosion. Land management conceded by farmers in Beruk Village in two ways, namely vegetative and mechanical land control.

Abstract

The abundance of predatory arthropods in the rice field ecosystem acts as a biological agent that suppresses pest populations. This study aims to analyze the types of species, individuals, and abundance of predatory arthropods. The research was conducted at the Lampung State Polytechnic Seed Teaching Farm in August-December 2020. The rice plant lines planted by Lampung State Polytechnic were 14 New Type Rice (PTB) lines, namely Pandan Wangi (PW, B1, B2, B3, B4, B7, D2, D3, F3, F4, H1, H4, K, and L2 with 2 and comparable superior varieties namely Ciherang (CH) and Gilirang (Gil)). Rice cultivation is carried out conventionally. Observations of predatory arthropods that inhabit rice canopy were carried out using 3 double swings of insect nets / sweepnets per treatment plot. Insect collection was carried out at 06.00-09.00 WIB then identified in the Food Crops Laboratory II, counting the number of species, number of individuals and relative abundance. The results showed that predatory arthropods that inhabit the canopy of rice plants in several rice plant lines were obtained from the Oxyopidae, Tetragnathidae, Lycosidae, Coenagrionidae, Correidae, Coccinellidae, Chrysomelidae, and Staphylinidae families. The Tetragnathidae and Coenagrionidae families have the highest proportion of species and are found in each rice plant line.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak konsentrasi POC POMI dengan dosis kompos tricho jagung pada pertumbuhan kailan (Brassica oleraceae. L). Penelitian dilaksanakan di dalam Screen House Auto Agronom Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini adalah percobaan faktorial 4x4 dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari dua faktor, yaitu faktor P (POC POMI) yang terdiri dari empat taraf perlakuan dan faktor T (Kompos Tricho Jagung) juga dengan empat taraf perlakuan dengan tiga kali ulagan. Sehingga terdapat 48 plot, dalam satu plot terdapat 8 tanaman sedangkan sampel diambil 4 tanaman secara acak pada masing – masing plot. Secara keseluruhan jumlah tanaman kailan yang digunakan sebanyak 384 batang. inggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai) dan volume akar (cm3) merupakan parameter utama dalam penelitian ini. Interaksi konsentrasi POC POMI serta dosis kompos tricho jagung menunjukkan pengaruh pada tinggi tanaman dengan perlakuan terbaik konsentrasi POC POMI 15 ml/polybag serta kompos tricho jagung dosis 150 g / polybag. Perlakuan tunggal POC POMI berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter pengamatan dengan perlakuan terbaik konsentrasi POC POMI 15 ml/polybag. Sedangkan pemberian kompos tricho jagung secara tunggal juga pengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter pengamatan. Perlakuan terbaik dengan dosis kompos tricho jagung 150 g / polybag.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa sistem tanam jajar legowo yang dikombinasikan dengan penambahan abu sekam pada saat pemupukan terhadap intensitas serangan hama penggerek batang padi (Scirpophaga innotata Wlk.) dan hasil pada tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.). Pengkajian dilaksanakan di lahan praktek di BBPP Batangkaluku – Kabupaten Gowa - Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan pada periode bulan Juni s/d September 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri atas 2 faktor dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah tiga jenis sistem tanam jajar legowo (P) yaitu sistem 2:1, sistem 4:1 (tipe 1), dan sistem 4:1 (tipe 2), dan faktor kedua adalah tiga taraf pemberian abu sekam padi yaitu tanpa pemberian abu sekam padi (B0), pemberian 1 ton abu sekam padi (B1), dan pemberian 2 ton abu sekam padi (B2). Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa Intensitas serangan Scirpophaga innotata Wlk pada tanaman padi cenderung dalam kategori serangan ringan (0-25%), dan tidak berbeda nyata pada semua perlakuan, jumlah rata-rata anakan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan P1B0 saat umur tanaman padi 12 MST yaitu yaitu 24.16 anakan, sedangkan untuk tinggi tanaman, rata-rata tinggi tanaman tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan P2B0 yaitu 85,14 cm. Berat butir gabah per 1000 butir teringgi diperoleh pada perlakuan sistem jajar legowo 2:1 dengan perlakuan pemberian abu sekam padi sebanyak 1 ton/ha (P1B2) yaitu 21.42 g. Hasil panen ubinan tertinggi diperoleh pada pada perlakuan sistem jajar legowo 4:1 tipe 1 dengan perlakuan pemberian abu sekam padi sebanyak 2 ton/ha (P2B2) yaitu 7.53 ton/ha GKP.

Abstract

Para pengusaha dalam membuat strategi pemasaran perlu menganalisa perilaku keputusan pembelian konsumen terhadap suatu produk. Tujuan penelitian mengidentifikasi karakteristik konsumen terhadap produk bayam hidroponik dan meenganalisis proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian terhadap produk bayam hidroponik. Metode pengumpulan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan aksidental sampling sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Karakteristik konsumen pembeli produk bayam hidroponik adalah perempuan dengan rentang usia 21-30 tahun yang sudah masih kuliah ataupun bekerja dengan pendapatan perbulannya sekitar kurang dari Rp1.000.000. Berdasarkan gaya hidupnya, rata-rata konsumen mengkonsumsi produk bayam hidroponik untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan harian, dan rata-rata konsumen membeli produk bayam hidroponik dua kali dalam satu bulan. Motivasi konsumen dalam melakukan pembelian yaitu bayam hidroponik memiliki kandungan gizi yang tinggi. Konsumen mendapatkan informasi yang berasal dari media sosial. Evaluasi alternatif dalam pembelian bayam hidroponik adalah kualitas produk bayam hidroponik yang lebih segar. Pembeliam produk bayam hidroponik yaitu dilakukan secara terencana untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Setelah melakukan pembelian pada produk bayam hidroponik, lebih dominan konsumen yang merasa puas.

Abstract

Pelatihan merupakan salah satu cara dalam meningkatkan kompetensi, juga indikator keberhasilan instansi penyelenggara pelatihan seperti Balai Pelatihan Pertanian (BPP) Jambi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan peneliitian ini (1) menganalisis peningkatan kompetensi penyuluh pertanian melalui pelatihan dasar fungsional di BPP Jambi, (2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil ujian komprehensif sebagai indikator akhir peningkatan kompetensi. Penelitian menggunakan data primer berupa data pre test dan post test, dailymood, perilaku, kepuasan berlatih, dan hasil ujian komprehensif peserta pelatihan. Responden ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling sebanyak 93 orang dari 183 orang penyuluh pertanian asal Provinsi Jambi yang mengikuti pelatihan dasar fungsional tahun 2018 di BPP Jambi. Analisis normalitas, uji t sampel berpasangan, dan regresi linear digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data menyebar normal. Hasil uji t mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nyata antara nilai pre test dan post test, perbedaan nyata antara nilai perilaku awal, tengah, dan akhir, antara dailymood, kepuasan berlatih, perilaku, post test, dan ujian komprehensif. Hasil uji F menunjukan secara bersama faktor-faktor dailymood, perilaku, dan kepuasan berlatih berpengaruh terhadap ujian komprehensif. Secara parsial dari ujit t, hanya faktor perilaku yang berpengaruh nyata. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mampu memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi penyuluh pertanian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperlukan lagi penelitian lanjutan mengenai dampak pelatihan terhadap motivasi dan kinerja dari penyuluh pertanian.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Capacity development is an effort to increase the potential that is owned, leading to increased knowledge and abilities. The hope is that it will raise social attitude, change behavior for the better, and be independent. This study aims to1) analyze the implementation of capacity building for farmer groups, and 2) analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in capacity building. This research users qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The types of data used are primary and secondary data obtained from observation, interactive analysis by Miles and Huberman, while the data validity technique used source triangulation and method triangulation. The results showed that the capacity building activities carried out were routine meetings, organic farming, communal shed management, fertilizer production, and trainings. Supporting factors in this research are land availability, farmer characteristics, social capital, group partnerships, institutional support or external parties. Inhibiting factors in this study were limited capital, not optimal organic farming, not optimal cattle breeding, difficulty marketing and low organic vegetables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the motivation of farmers in garlic cultivation; (2) factors that influence farmer motivation; (3) the relationship between the factors that influence motivation and motivation of farmers in garlic crop farming. The basic method used is a quantitative method with survey techniques. The determination of the research location was carried out deliberately in Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. Sampling using proportional random sampling technique and respondents were taken as many as 50 farmers. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank Correlation Test ( ) with the IBM SPSS Statistics program. The results showed that: (1) social needs dominate the level of motivation of farmers in garlic farming; (2) motivating factors are age in the early elderly category, low formal education, high land area, very low income, very high experience, low social environment, low economic environment, high farmer group institutions, and low government / private support; (3) There is a very significant relationship between income, social, and economic factors with the motivation of farmers in garlic crop farming. There is a significant relationship between the factors of land area, farmer group institutions and government / private support with farmer motivation in garlic crop farming. There is no significant relationship between the factors of age, education and experience with the motivation of farmers in garlic crop farming in Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency.
