Abstract

Sex education is not yet a specific subject in education in Indonesia at this time. However, many schools in Indonesia have implicitly incorporated elements of sex education into some subjects, such as: Biology, Religious Education, and Guidance and Counseling. The problem that arises is how to deliver sex education effectively as a preventative measure against sexual deviation, both as perpetrators and as victims. The reorientation of sex education seeks to reformulate the purpose of sex education for adolescents. This research aims to determine the delivery method and its effectiveness viewed from the perception of viewers on the YouTube platform. This study uses a qualitative approach with an explorative method. The delivery of sexual education through YouTube can be very appealing to children and adolescents, because the content created can be lighter and adapted to the characteristics of the content consumer. This can be identified from the comment section which contains responses from the viewers towards the uploaded content. The majority of viewers agree that sexual education content is very important to be delivered to children and adolescents, in order to prevent sexual violence which may occur anywhere.

Abstract

The shift in meaning of Indonesian vocabulary on social media, particularly in Instagram memes, reflects a dynamic linguistic phenomenon among teenagers. This study aims to describe the changes in vocabulary meaning in Instagram memes and analyze the contextual factors influencing these shifts. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with contextual semantic analysis. Data consisted of 30 memes from five popular Instagram accounts, analyzed for vocabulary, visual context, and social interaction. The results indicate that vocabulary changes include generalization, specialization, amelioration, pejoration, and total transformation. Influencing factors include visual context, Generation Z creativity, digital social interaction, as well as humor and satire. These findings confirm that Instagram memes function not only as entertainment but also as a laboratory for vocabulary meaning change in Indonesian.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the optimization of micro-learning strategies within the Hadramiyyah Halaqah tradition at the Darullughah Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School (Dalwa). Amidst a dense formal curriculum and the declining concentration spans characteristic of Generation Z, Dalwa consistently maintains short-duration learning sessions (20–25 minutes) conducted entirely in introductory Arabic. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The analysis was conducted through the theoretical lenses of Cognitive Load Theory and the concept of spaced repetition. The findings reveal that the brief yet consistent session duration successfully mitigates cognitive overload and enhances students' long-term retention of classical religious texts (kitab kuning). The absolute use of Arabic functions as a focus catalyst, fostering an immersive learning ecosystem. Furthermore, the point-centric teaching methodology and the intentional limitation of dialectical interaction prove effective in efficiently transferring complex subject matter. This study concludes that the halaqah model at Dalwa represents a form of traditional pedagogical innovation that holds significant relevance for the educational efficiency demands of the 21st century. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of Islamic boarding school curriculum management frameworks that balance traditional resilience with the exigencies of modernity.
