Abstract

Teacher performance should be further improved to produce highly capable human resources in the increasingly competitive global era. Job training, which is a process of improving work competency, affects teacher performance. Supervision and educational training through management, administration, and leadership agendas depend on the school leader. Due to their complexity, schools need coordination. The success of the school also depends on the success of the principal. This study investigated teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang and aimed to determine whether there was a relationship between training and leadership and teacher performance at the school. This type of research is called quantitative research. The data used is qualitative . This study used a total sampling method on a population of 56 respondents, which included all teachers at SMKN 1 Gunung Talang. The results of the statistical analysis showed that training and leadership partially had a significant effect on the performance of teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. Then, training and leadership simultaneously influenced the performance of teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. In addition, the R-squared value increased to 0.575, or 57.5%, which indicates that additional variables not discussed in this study affect the majority.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Rifa'i 2 in internalizing digital literacy competencies. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study aims to analyze the pesantren's strategies in integrating digital literacy into the curriculum and culture, as well as identifying the challenges faced. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the boarding school has integrated digital literacy into its vision, programs (“Media Al-Rifa'i” for the creation of Islamic content), and curriculum (ICT, digital Project Based Learning). There has been a shift in teaching methods from conventional to the use of digital media. The central role of teachers as facilitators and supervisors of digital ethics is supported by external assistance. The main challenge is maintaining a balance between the values of the pesantren and the digital world. The pesantren plans to incorporate digital literacy into its long-term curriculum, preparing students for the digital age without compromising moral values. It is hoped that this research can serve as a reference and encourage further research on the adaptation of Islamic educational institutions to the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to identify various difficulties faced by final semester students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program in writing scientific papers. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The primary data in this study are the results of answers to questionnaires distributed by researchers to representatives of 10 students who have finished writing scientific papers in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program. while the data collection techniques used in this study are: interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study consist of three flows, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the majority of respondents experience various difficulties in writing scientific papers, both in technical aspects and understanding the material. As many as 90% of respondents found it difficult to formulate a title, As many as 80% of respondents found it difficult to compile a research background, As many as 70% of respondents found it difficult to find references, As many as 90% of respondents found it difficult to compile a theoretical framework, As many as 90% of respondents found it difficult to understand research methods, As many as 90% of respondents found it difficult to analyze data, As many as 80% of respondents found it difficult to use standard language, As many as 90% of respondents found it difficult to write sentences and paragraphs, As many as 70% of respondents found it difficult to use punctuation. This shows that students need more intensive and structured guidance, as well as direct training to improve their skills in writing scientific papers. That way, it will produce quality scientific papers.

Abstract

Teacher discipline plays an important role in creating effective learning while reflecting professionalism and being a role model for students. However, there are still teachers who lack discipline, so the role of the principal is needed through the implementation of appropriate leadership. This study aims to analyze the democratic leadership style of the principal, teacher discipline, and the influence of both at Triyasa Junior High School, Bandung City. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires and documentation studies. The results show that the democratic leadership style of the principal is in the high category with an average value of 4.00, while teacher discipline is also high with an average value of 4.22. The influence of democratic leadership style on teacher discipline is 45.5% based on the coefficient of determination (R2 = 0.455), while 54.5% is influenced by other factors. Thus, democratic leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher discipline. Principals are recommended to maintain a democratic leadership style while still emphasizing firmness in imposing sanctions.

Abstract

Saat ini, Bahasa Inggris digunakan di banyak sektor; pendidikan, bisnis, dll. Jadi, penerjemahan Bahasa Inggris dibutuhkan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyelidiki masalah penerjemahan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris pada semester kelima di Universitas Al-Qolam. Namun, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis dokumen dan wawancara kelompok terfokus (FGI). Kemudian, data dianalisis menggunakan beberapa langkah, seperti pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kepercayaan; kredibilitas, konfirmabilitas, dan transferabilitas dilakukan. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa mahasiswa menghadapi dua masalah utama dalam penerjemahan; kurangnya penguasaan kosakata dan pemahaman tata bahasa Inggris yang buruk. Oleh karena itu, masalah-masalah ini memengaruhi hasil terjemahan mahasiswa dan menjadi hambatan bagi mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan makna bahasa sumber ke bahasa target. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa masalah ini harus diperhatikan untuk memperkaya dan memperluas penguasaan kosakata dan tata bahasa Inggris mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' learning outcomes in the subject of Pancasila Education at SMP PGRI 1 Ciputat. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving two classes: an experimental class that applied the PBL model and a control class that used conventional teaching methods. The research instrument consisted of pretest and posttest questions, which were tested for validity and reliability, resulting in a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.745. The findings indicated a significant increase in the posttest scores of the experimental class from 52 to 75.84, while the control class improved from 48 to 67.12. The t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups. It can be concluded that the PBL model has a positive effect on improving students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pesantren is an Islamic educational institutions that has existed since before independence. Their image has declined due to several instances of sexual violence within them. While traditionally safe and welcoming institutions for children and women, they have been stigmatized by the actions of certain individuals. The purpose of this study was to determine Nawaning Nusantara's strategy for preventing sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools. This study used a case study with a qualitative approach to data collection and analysis through observation, interviews, and literature review from various written sources in online media. The results revealed that Nawaning Nusantara has a strategic plan, including a sexual violence prevention mitigation agenda, workshops, and training for facilitators for tarbiyah jinsiyah. Efforts to prevent sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools include monitoring within the boarding school, consulting with religious leaders (kyai), official regulations on boundaries between men and women, and studying the yellow book on sexual education and gender understanding through the KGI (Ngaji KGI) study and Qira’ah Mubadalah perspective.

Abstract

The integration of multicultural Islamic educational values ​​in foreign language institutions is discussed within the framework of critical discourse analysis from the aspects of the textual dimension, discourse analysis, and social practice. The role of foreign language institutions is seen as linguistic ideological constitutional institutions that have a dialectical relationship with the local culture of the language's origin, so that it is suspected that they are not in accordance with the function of Islamic boarding schools. Based on the background above, the researcher wants to analyze the integration of multicultural Islamic educational values ​​in foreign language institutions at the Nurul Jadid Paiton Islamic Boarding School, Probolinggo. The focus of this research is (1) exploring the model, process, and strategy of integrating the values ​​of Multicultural Islamic Education in foreign language institutions, and (2) Interpreting the contribution of the results of integrating the values ​​of Multicultural Islamic Education in foreign language institutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation, research subjects were determined based on purposive sampling, data analysis techniques were carried out by condensing data, presenting data, verifying, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the integration of multicultural Islamic education in the foreign language institution at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid is carried out well through curriculum, extracurricular activities, Santri organizations and collaboration between institutions. This integration process shows good results and does not interfere with the main focus of Pondok Pesantren as a religious institution.

Abstract

Independent Learning is a transformation of the education system to accommodate changes and progress of the nation that can adapt to the changing times. By restoring the essence of true education, namely education to humanize human beings or liberating education. Therefore, the freedom to innovate, learn independently, and create is carried out by the education sector, teachers, and students. The researcher focus how P5 applied at SMK AL-Khozini. The research approach used by researchers is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out by carrying out observations, interviews, quistionnaires and documentation. Then the researcher find the result of research which is: (1) Application of Independent Learning at SMK Al-Khozini, (2) Application the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) at SMK Al-Khozini, (3) The Applied P5 Indicator, (4) Constraints on Implementing P5 and, (5) The Effect of Independent Learning Curricula (P5) for Student. The obstacle faced is school facilities. P5 is very important because it is like the spirit of Independent Curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model to improve students' communication skills. This research was conducted in Class X - 3 PPKn learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. Implementation of class action carried out with two cycles. The results showed that the application of the Creative Problem Solving learning model could improve students' communication skills. This is indicated by three aspects, namely the increase in teacher learning activities, student learning activities and student communication skills. The teacher's learning activity score in cycle I was 80, while student learning activities obtained an average score of 75 in cycle I, and the average student communication skill was 73 in cycle I. Cycle II showed an increase. The teacher's learning activity score became 87, while the average student learning activity scored 82, and the average student's communication skills increased to 82.
