Abstract

Background: Sun exposure contains ultraviolet light is needed by humans in terms of the formation of active vitamin D. The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic implementing the "stay at home” order led to a reduction in sun exposure which may have exacerbated vitamin D deficiency. In COVID-19 patients, Low vitamin D levels are associated with disease severity. Objectives: This literature study aims to see the effect of vitamin D deficiency in COVID-19 patients. Methods: A narrative study of literature is collected through several research articles published in the last two years (2020-2022) through the science web such as Google Scholar, Pubmed, dan ProQuest. Results: Vitamin D deficiency in COVID-19 patients causes a high risk of morbidity and mortality and vitamin D levels can be used as a predictor/prognosis of disease severity. Conclusions: Based on the result of literature study of collected articles, there is an effect of vitamin D deficiency in COVID-19 patients.

Methods: The population in this study were families with under-fives with pneumonia spread over 38 cities / districts in the East Java region which were successfully recorded by the Central Statistics Agency per year 2018. The type of data used was secondary data which was analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. Result: Mojokerto City is the city that has the highest percentage of children under five exposed to pneumonia in East Java. Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still one of the main public health problems in Indonesia. In 2018 in East Java DHF cases reached 9,425 cases with an incident rate of 23.9 per 100,000 population. Dengue fever is classified as an infectious disease originating from animals, the transmission of which tends to be influenced by many regional factors such as population density, population mobility, urbanization, and community behavior. Objective: this study was to apply spatial regression to determine the factors of the incidence of DHF in East Java in 2018. Methods: This research that uses secondary data. The data was obtained from the 2018 East Java Health Office profile book and the East Java Central Statistics Agency. The variables taken are the incidence of dengue fever, population density, PHBS in the household, healthy homes, and availability of clean water. Analysis of the data used in this study is Spatial Regression. Result: this study get the R-square results from the Spatial Error Model (SEM) regression model of 0.3921 and the R-square results from the Autoregressive Model (SAR) regression model of 0.03824. Conclusion: this study is that there is a relationship between Population Density, PHBS, Healthy Homes, and Availability of Clean Water on the incidence of DHF. With the results of this study, the SEM method can estimate the effect of 39.21% on the incidence of DHF and the SAR model can estimate the effect of 38.24% on the incidence of DHF.

This study uses secondary data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5. The research sample is the entire elderly population (age > 60 years) totaling 1,050 respondents who have met the criteria. The variables studied obesity, and smoking. This study was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using Chi-square. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship betweenobesity (p value = 0.000; PR = 0.46; CI = 0.37 - 0.58), and smoking (p value = 0.001; PR = 1.25; CI = 1.09 - 1.44) with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. Conclusions: Obesity and smoking are variables associated with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. Smoking are risk factors for hypertension, obesity is a protective factor for hypertension. Suggestions for this research are expected that the elderly community can implement healthy living behaviors, and the government can provide education regarding risk factors for hypertension in the elderly community.

Abstract

Background: Low Birth Weight (BBLR) is a case that occurs in baies after birth with indications of having a weight less than normal, which is less than 2500 grams. From Riskesdas data in 2018, stated that the incidence of LBW increased by 0,5% from 2013. Babies who has history of LBW have a chance of dying. Mother's weight during pregnancy is one of the risk factor of LBW, so mother who have weight gain in acoordance with the recommendations can prevent the incidence of LBW.                Objectives: The objectives of this literature review is to describe the relationship of gestational weight gain with Low Birth Weight (LBW) in Indonesia. Methods: Literature Review is a method that author uses to compose this articel. This research uses database from Google Scholar with related keyword and found 1.240 articles. Those articles had screened based on itopic and nclusion criteria, anda 9 articles were obtained that used for this literature review. Discussion: Six of nine journals stated that there was a relationship of gestational weight gain with Low Birth Weight (LBW), while three of other journal stated that gestational weight gain have not related with Low Birth Weight (LBW). The relationship of both variables is indicated by p-value is p < 0,05. Asniatin (2018), stated that risk factor of LBW is an abnormal mother weight gain, with 7,534 times greater chance of occurance. None of relationship of both variables is indicated by p value > 0,05. However, the result of research of Mamidi et al (2022), have a contradictive result research with Asniatin (2018). Conclusions: There are differences of opinion from several related studies. Prevention of LBW can be done early by monitoring health from pra conception until birth and paying attention to the factors of LBW.

Abstract

Background: Monitoring children's nutritional status is one of the factors that create qualified human resources. Children aged 0-59 months who are malnourished will experience growth disorder if not taken seriously. Several factors that associated with nutritional status of children are parent's educational level and income.   Objectives: The purpose of this literature review was to analyze the relationship between parent's educational level and income on child's nutrition status. Methods: This article is a literature review based on articles that was published within the last ten years. Electronic databases like PubMed and Google Scholar were used. There are 17 literatures that used in this article. Discussion: Some articles show that child's nutritional status is related to the parents' income and education level. Educated parents are able to explain the nutritional value of food and comprehend more about the physical and mental development of their children. The availability of food and efforts to provide a balanced diet are influenced by parental income, and this will have an impact on the nutritional health of children. Nevertheless, there are still many factors that can affect the nutritional status of children. Conclusions: Parents' education level and income was not significantly associated with children's nutritional status. This due to the development of information technology and human resources

Abstract

Background: Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is an incident commonly reported and experienced by workers using computers. The Information and Communication Technology staff of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III are one of those having a high risk of CVS incidents. Objectives: The study aimed to evaluate the workplace's physical environment and the Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) incidents on staff at the head office of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) under the applicable regulations. Methods: This study employed primary data with the qualitative observational method with a cross-sectional study design. The study utilized two respondent groups, i.e., exposed, comprising 30 ICT staff, and control, comprising 30 HSSE and Port Equipment Engineering staff. The dependent variable of the study was the number of CVS incidents experienced by staff. The independent variable of the study was the workplace physical quality (lighting intensity, temperature, and humidity).  Results: The study result demonstrated that the lighting intensity and room temperature of the exposed group did not follow the standard, exposing staff to CVS. In the control group, lighting intensity did not follow the standard, and staff had CVS, the humidity did not follow the standard, and staff did not have CVS, and room temperature followed the standard, and staff did not have CVS. Conclusions: The study concluded non-conformity in the physical environment variable of the workplace under the applicable regulations and is based on predecessor literature studies.
