Abstract

In differentiated learning, learning readiness is the initial ability that must be possessed by students to support the continuity of the learning process and is supported by the development of appropriate learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop differentiated mathematics learning media based on the learning readiness of android-based students named Choice Gaming with SPLDV material. This research is included in the type of Research and Development (R&D) with the Four-D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The subjects of this study were 30 students of class VIII A SMPN 1 Mantup Lamongan. Data collection methods through instruments validation results of media experts and material experts, student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest results. The data were analyzed using quantitative methods, obtained validity from the results of media expert validation on average 90% (very valid) and the results of material expert validation on average 86.67% (very valid). So it can be concluded that the media developed is suitable for use in learning. As for the effectiveness value obtained from the average student response of 81.67% (positive) and learning completeness obtained an average N-gain of 0.57 in the medium category (quite effective). So it can be concluded that differentiated mathematics learning media is effective for SPLDV material.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems faced by students in writing observation report texts that have not reached the completeness value in learning. The purpose of this study was conducted to understand the level of student success in learning through experimental report text using problem-based learning model on writing skills of class VII students of Mtsn 1 Bone. The type of research used is classroom action research or commonly called PTK with research stages based on 2 cycles. The research refers to the learning process in the classroom. This research uses descriptive, qualitative and quantitative methods. This research was conducted at MTSN 1 Bone. The sample in this study only used 1 class, namely class IX B, which numbered 32 students. The results of the first cycle showed that students lacked understanding of the material if learning was only given theoretically. A total of 32 research subjects stated an increase, indicated by the average value of students in class IX MTsn 1 Bone, which reached 77 higher than the KKM value of Indonesian language subjects which is 75. In the second cycle showed satisfactory success in learning, especially student learning outcomes. Thus, the data results show an increase in students in the second cycle. The average score of students was 89 from the KKM standard score of 75.

Abstract

The study of psychological well-being has received increasing attention in the last decade, especially integrated into the field of positive psychology. One of the difficulties in grasping a deep understanding of the concept of psychological well-being is due to the wide variety of concepts used interchangeably in the literature. Ryff (1989), undertook the difficult task of distilling the theories of the original psychological well-being model. Ryff's model integrates the theoretical components of Abraham Maslow's concept of self-actualisation, Rogers' view of the fully functioning person, Allport's individual formulation of the concept of maturity, Erikson's psychosocial stages model, Buhler's basic life tendencies, Neugarten's personality change, Jahoda's positive criteria of mental health. Ryff's theory includes six basic dimensions of psychological well-being, namely 1) Autonomy, 2) Environmental control, 3) Personal growth, 4) Positive relationships with others, 5) Life purpose, 6) Self-acceptance. The procedure used for the systematic review in this study was designed based on the PRISMA (Protocol Review Systematic and Meta-Analysis) statement. This article suggests that future researchers in an effort to conduct construct testing on Ryff's psychological well-being scale, it is recommended to test the validity of content, convergent, and criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the significant effect of implementing the discovery learning model on HOTS and the social character of fourth grade elementary school students in social studies lessons. This research class is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design, with Class IV A as the experimental class and Class IV B as the control class. A pretest-posttest test was administered in a second-grade research and documentation course as a component of the data collection process. The t test was used to assess the hypothesis after appropriate homogeneity and normality tests had been completed. The research results show that the use of discovery learning has a significant effect on HOTS skills and students' social character. A Sig value of 0.00 < 0.05 is shown from the results of the Paired Sample T-test. Thus, the high-level thinking skills of students in the experimental group and the control group are very different. Based on questionnaire data on the influence of the discovery learning model on students' social character, the medium group obtained an average score of 45.5, which shows that the application of the discovery learning model has an effect on students' social character.

Abstract

This research evaluates affective assessment in MI Schools in Jember. The main focus is on the challenges faced in its implementation and the solutions that have been applied and suggested. The purpose of this study is to understand the dynamics of affective assessment in MI Schools and find solutions for challenges in its implementation. The method used for this research is qualitative research with case studies approach, which involves observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results show that affective assessment is typically done through observation and recording of student behavior by teachers, and with feedback from parents. However, challenges in the implementation of affective assessment still exist, especially in terms of objectivity and interpretation of results. Several strategies and solutions have been applied and suggested, such as training and workshops on affective assessment, use of more systematic and efficient assessment tools, and collaboration with parents of students. In conclusion, improving the quality of affective assessment in MI Schools requires collaboration from various parties, not only teachers but also parents and the school community. For further research, it is suggested to conduct experimental research to test the effectiveness of the solutions suggested in this study and develop more systematic and efficient affective assessment tools.
