Abstract

Learning media has a big impact on the success of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to develop innovative and interactive pop-up book learning media, as well as knowing the practicality of the learning media of energy changes in energy. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The sample of this study was all students of Class III SD Negeri 169 Purba Julu, Kec Puncak Sorik Merapi with research instruments in the form of validation sheets of material, language, and design experts. The results showed that the pop-up book learning media developed energy changes had met the validators' criteria based on validator assessment with material validity value of 4.6 with a very feasible category, for the value of language validity of 4.7 with a very feasible category, and for values Design validity of 4.6 with a very decent category. Pop-up Book Learning Media Changes developed have met practicality criteria through: a) Teacher response questionnaire results to interactive teaching materials show practical values of 4.6 with a very practical category; b) The results of student response questionnaires to interactive teaching materials show a practical value of 4 with a very practical category.

Abstract

This research is a research and development research on interactive multimedia-based explanatory text that aims to determine the validation, practicality and effectiveness of the product developed. Development of Interactive Multimedia -Based Explanation Text Materials Using the Procedure for Developing ADDIE Model. The ADDIE development model has 5 steps, namely: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (Evaluation). The results showed that effectiveness was obtained based on increased student learning outcomes after pretest and posttest with N-Gain of 0.65 'medium' criteria. In the completed student pretest as many as 7 out of 25 students after using a posttest product and students who completed 22 out of 25 students. Mastery learning with a percentage value of 88% with the 'very good' category. It can be concluded that student learning outcomes increase after using the teaching material for interactive and effective multimedia -based explanatory texts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the pedagogical strategies employed by the teachers and their difficulties in implementing the K–12 curriculum in the Division of Maguindanao–I for the School Year 2017–2028. It aimed to respond to two questions in particular: In applying the K–12 curriculum framework in their classrooms, teachers used a variety of pedagogical strategies. How much did these strategies differ from one another? How many problems did they encounter? It used a descriptive survey design and a quantitative methodology. 75 respondents were chosen at random to receive survey questionnaires, and they were chosen from a pool of respondents. The study revealed that the high school teachers from the chosen secondary schools in Maguindanao-I division occasionally used pedagogical approaches in their instruction and occasionally encountered difficulties implementing the K–12 curriculum in the schools where they were assigned, particularly regarding the use and accessibility of ICT and teaching aids, which are seen as being crucial to providing students with high-quality education. This further demonstrated that teachers in public schools lacked the necessary pedagogical tools to effectively teach the K–12 curriculum. With this new trend in education, teachers still need to be prepared. However, teachers were still having trouble putting the new curriculum into practice. The most difficult component for the teachers has been utilizing ICT and ICT-related educational resources. This is due to the fact that some teachers still struggle to utilize computers effectively, and some pupils still struggle with subject matter understanding among professors.

Abstract

Studying the works of the great figures of Persian literature creates hundreds of movements in the reader and there is no doubt that Khaghani and Nezami are among the brightest stars of this field. In this article, movement and stillness point of view of a poem by both poets has been firmly studied. Finally, after considering accurate statistical results, it has been shown that how much movement and stillness can be found in odes of these outstanding poets. It also has been shown that in the poems of which one of them, inanimate nature has more to do with parts of human life. In addition, an attempt has been made to accurately identify the positive and negative aspects of their static and dynamic poetry. Personification, Paradox, Simile, Metaphor, Color Element and other similar elements lead to dynamics of the images. The poets we are discussing have used them more and better according to their time. In addition, both poets have used less of the elements that lead to stagnation. Khaghani has taken pictures directly from nature and has shown his life experiences and Nezami has composed his ode imitating Khaghani's ode and borrowed some of his pictures. This subject has been studied and analyzed for the first time and in addition to comparing and measuring Khaghani and Nezami's odes from a dynamic and static point of view, their content has been considered in terms of common points. In order to do that, the elements involved in image dynamics are described in detail and then compared and reviewed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the polemic over the zoning education system policy in the Bondowoso region. The method used is qualitative research with the type of critical discourse analysis research and the Fairclough critical discourse analysis model. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences related to the text and the results of the interviews which show polemics. Sources of data for this research were taken from Ministry of Education and Culture Regulations, follow-up policies from the Education Office, interview results, and online media documentation. The instruments used in data collection were the researchers themselves who acted as key instruments, devices, recording devices, note sheets, and laptops. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using documentation, interviews and observation techniques. Data analysis techniques, researchers used critical discourse analysis developed by Fairclough by way of description, interpretation and explanation. The results of the study show the use of lingual features such as lexical processes, euphemisms, transitivity, and modality, as well as the ideology of each group involved. The polemic found from each group with the existence of a zoning education system policy can be used as literacy material and also for consideration in making further policies.

Abstract

This study delves into educators' motivations and challenges leaving the Department of Education (DepEd) for overseas opportunities. The researchers used descriptive qualitative in conducting the study. Based on the findings, it emerges that both emotional and practical considerations influence teachers' decisions to migrate. Foremost among the concerns is the desire for financial stability, contrasted by their deep emotional connection to students and the local education system. Other significant challenges include the need for comprehensive health and well-being provisions, operational efficiency, professional development, and an inclusive work environment. The study underscores the pressing need for reforms within DepEd, emphasizing competitive compensation, streamlined operations, continuous professional growth, and robust health provisions. It was recommended that the Department of Education (DepEd) must prioritize educators' financial and holistic well-being through competitive salaries and regular professional development opportunities. Streamlined administrative processes, proper resource allocation, and integration of global educational insights will foster a more efficient and appealing environment for educators.

Abstract

The spark of the October revolution in Iraq ignited on the first day of October and persisted for forty days, interrupted only by religious occasions. It regained momentum on October 25, 2019, continuing as a significant sociopolitical event. From its inception, the revolution faced suppression by the Iraqi government, with the use of tear gas, live weapons, and hunting weapons against protesters. The Iraqi revolution captured global media attention, becoming a focal point of coverage worldwide. This research paper employs Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) using Teun van Dijk's Socio-Cognitive Model to investigate how The New York Times represents the Iraqi protests in its headlines. Data is collected from The New York Times' official website, with a focus on headlines related to the Iraqi demonstrations from October 2019 to the present time. The analysis comprises two levels: Micro Level Analysis scrutinizes linguistic features, while Macro Level Analysis explores broader sociocultural and cognitive contexts. The research aims to answer questions regarding the portrayal of the protests, linguistic strategies employed, framing of actors, and reflections of social and cognitive contexts. The study acknowledges limitations, including the exclusive use of headlines and the scope limited to The New York Times. However, the research contributes valuable insights into media discourse, biases, power dynamics, and the influence of language on shaping public understanding of complex sociopolitical events. The findings have implications for media studies and communication research, prompting critical engagement with media representations and the potential impact on public perceptions and discourses.
