Abstract

Access to halal certification services for MSMEs in Bandung City remains constrained by limited procedural understanding, inadequate document readiness, low digital literacy, and weak process continuity, despite the availability of regulatory frameworks, service schemes, and the SIHALAL digital platform. This study aims to analyze the role of Halal Product Process Facilitators in expanding MSMEs’ access to halal certification services in Bandung City. The study is grounded in empowerment theory, service access theory, and service quality theory. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, supported by document analysis and secondary data drawn from Bandung Open Data, official publications of BPJPH and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, halal certification regulations, and SIHALAL service documents. The findings show that facilitators function as information providers, administrative assistants, technical guides, digital service intermediaries, and process enablers throughout certification completion. These results indicate that the effectiveness of halal certification depends largely on the quality of facilitation in translating regulatory and digital requirements into accessible and manageable service processes for MSMEs

Abstract

The digitalization of halal certification has become increasingly important in strengthening the quality, accessibility, and responsiveness of religious public services in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SIHALAL at the Bandung City Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs as an innovation in religious public service delivery. The study is grounded in perspectives on digital public service innovation, institutional capacity, and service implementation, which emphasize that technological systems generate public value only when supported by effective organizational practices. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design and relies on document analysis and relevant secondary data published up to 2023. The findings show that SIHALAL has functioned not merely as an administrative platform but as a service infrastructure integrating registration, verification, assistance, and certification processes. Its innovative value lies in improving access, procedural clarity, and service efficiency, although its effectiveness remains shaped by institutional capacity, coordination, and users’ procedural readiness

Abstract

Halal certification for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) has become increasingly important because it is closely linked to regulatory compliance, consumer trust, and business competitiveness. In Bandung City, however, facilitation outcomes have not yet matched the scale of policy targets, indicating a gap between program design and implementation. This study examines the role of data-driven policy and local government support in accelerating halal certification facilitation for MSMEs in Bandung City. The analysis draws on the perspectives of data-driven decision-making, public service innovation, and policy implementation. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, supported by document analysis and secondary data derived from Bandung Open Data, local government planning documents, official publications of BPJPH and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and relevant halal certification regulations. The findings show that data have been incorporated into planning and targeting, yet they still function more as an administrative base than as a precise intervention tool. Local government support is present, but its integration remains insufficient, which contributes to the persistent gap between certification targets and implementation outcomes

Abstract

Radicalism is a challenge in a pluralistic society, so it is necessary to plan for targeted da'wah. This study focuses on examining Muhammadiyah's da'wah planning in countering radicalism in Karo Regency, especially in Kabanjahe District. The researcher used a qualitative method with data collection techniques through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique consisting of Muhammadiyah leaders and related autonomous organizations. Then, the data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study shows that Muhammadiyah's da'wah planning is formulated through da'i cadre development and da'wah training for cadres, da'i assignments to areas with minimal religious understanding, and adapting da'wah material to community conditions. Therefore, Muhammadiyah's da'wah planning plays a role in countering radicalism with a structured, systematic, and contextual approach.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the role of teachers in classroom management at Thauthiatut Thulab Junior High School. Classroom management is a crucial factor in creating a conducive and effective learning environment that supports the achievement of learning objectives. At lower secondary school (SMP) level, the implementation of good classroom management becomes increasingly important as pupils are in a transitional phase towards adolescence, characterised by emotional, social and behavioural changes. Therefore, teachers are required to have the ability to manage the classroom so that the learning process can take place in an orderly and productive manner. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation and interviews with teachers and relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that teachers act as managers, facilitators and mediators of learning, capable of integrating the values of student discipline into classroom activities. These roles contribute to creating a learning environment that is orderly, comfortable and supportive of students’ character development and academic achievement.

Abstract

Dayah, as traditional Islamic educational institutions in Aceh, play a strategic role in shaping the character, morals and academic knowledge of the younger generation. However, the quality of Islamic education in dayah still faces various challenges, such as limited human resources, infrastructure, operational funding, and the relevance of the curriculum to the needs of the modern era. This study aims to examine the leadership strategies employed by the management of Dayah Dhiya Ulhaq Al Aziziyah Lueng Teungoh Jeunieb in improving the quality of teaching staff, to analyse the supporting factors, and to identify the main obstacles faced. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation and documentation. The research subjects included the dayah’s leadership, teaching staff, and students, whilst the research object was the quality of education at the dayah. The research findings indicate that the leadership strategies of the Islamic boarding school heads are visionary, adaptive and transformational, with a focus on developing a relevant curriculum, enhancing teachers’ competencies, and empowering students to become more independent. Supporting factors include the commitment of the leadership, community support, and strong traditional Islamic values. The main constraints faced are limited funding, a lack of facilities and infrastructure, and resistance to innovation. This study concludes that effective leadership is the key to improving the quality of Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools. It is hoped that these findings will contribute to the development of Islamic educational management theory whilst also providing practical solutions for Islamic boarding schools in addressing contemporary challenges.

Abstract

The development of information technology and social media in the digital era has brought various challenges in emotional management, particularly related to increasing social conflict, cyberbullying, and psychological pressure. The ability to control emotions is an important aspect of maintaining mental health and building harmonious social relations. In Islam, the concept of emotional control is reflected in the term al-kazimina al-ghaiz found in QS. Ali Imran verse 134. This study aims to analyze the meaning of al-kazimina al-ghaiz according to M. Quraish Shihab’s interpretation in Tafsir Al-Misbah and to examine its relevance to the concept of self regulation in modern psychology. This research uses a library research method with a thematic interpretation (maudhu’i) approach by examining relevant tafsir literature, psychological theories, and scientific articles. The findings show that al-kazimina al-ghaiz does not merely mean suppressing anger, but reflects the conscious ability to control emotions so that they are not expressed in harmful behavior. This concept is in line with self regulation and emotion regulation theories, yet it has a broader dimension because it includes psychological, moral, and spiritual aspects through anger control, forgiveness, and ihsan.

The results of the study reveal that the organisation of the Muslim fashion show at Ceudah Mulya Islamic Kindergarten was carried out in a structured manner across three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. This activity proved effective in instilling the values of modesty, fostering a love for Islamic clothing, and shaping religious character in pre-school-aged children. Furthermore, this activity also had a positive impact on the children’s social-emotional development, gross and fine motor skills, and self-confidence. This study concluded that the Muslim fashion show is a creative learning method that aligns with the principles of experience-based learning within the context of Islamic Education in Early Childhood Education.

Abstract

Radicalism is one of the challenges that can threaten national unity and give rise to a narrow and exclusive understanding of religion. Islamic educational institutions, including Dayah (traditional Islamic boarding schools), hold a strategic role in shaping santri (students) with moderate, tolerant, and nationally-minded character through the internalization of anti-radicalism values. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing anti-radicalism values in learning at Dayah in Sabang City, to identify the strategies applied by teachers ( teungku ), and to examine the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies involving Dayah leaders, teachers, and santri at Dayah Darul Wa'di Istiqamatuddin and Dayah Darul Hijrah, Sabang City. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation applied to ensure validity. The findings show that the internalization of anti-radicalism values is carried out in an integrated manner through the cultivation of wasathiyah (religious moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), tawazun (balance), i'tidal (firmness/non-violence), ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), love for the homeland, and the study of classical texts that Islam as rahmatan lil -' alamin . The internalization process occurs through three interrelated stages: value transformation (the transmission of religious knowledge), value transaction (dialogical interaction between teachers and students ), and trans-internalization (exemplary conduct and habituation within twenty-four-hour dayah life). Supporting factors include the commitment of dayah leadership, teacher competence and exemplary behavior , an integrated curriculum, and a conducive educational environment, while obstacles arise from the influence of digital media, unverified religious information, limited teaching materials, and restricted programs for strengthening religious moderation. The study concludes that the internalization of anti-radicalism values in the Dayah of Sabang City has continued regularly and has contributed to shaping santri who are moderate, tolerant, and strongly committed to national values.
