Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SDN 45 Mataram through the implementation of interactive learning media based on Canva. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 32 students of class 6A. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the use of Canva-based interactive learning media in the IPAS subject, particularly on the topic How Our Body Moves, was effective in enhancing students’ understanding of the skeletal, joint, and muscular systems. The improvement was evident from the significant increase in students’ average scores from cycle I to cycle II, accompanied by higher levels of active participation during the learning process. These findings indicate that Canva-based interactive learning media not only improve learning outcomes but also foster active student engagement, making it an innovative solution for teaching IPAS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the significance of the improvement in students’ learning interest through the use of Wordwall media in Grade IV of SDN Model Mataram. The focus of this research was to enhance students’ learning interest in classroom activities. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on Kurt Lewin’s model. The subjects of the study were 18 fourth-grade students of SDN Model Mataram. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation techniques. The results indicated that the use of Wordwall media effectively increased students’ learning interest. This finding was evidenced by a gradual improvement in students’ questionnaire scores across each cycle, with an average pre-action (initial test) score of 72.21, increasing to 81.18 in the post-test of Cycle I, and reaching 89.28% in Cycle II. These results demonstrate that the use of Wordwall media is highly effective in enhancing students’ learning interest in Grade IV of SDN Model Mataram.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning motivation in the Pancasila Education subject by applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. The research was designed and conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, implemented in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 24 fifth-grade students of SDN 36 Cakranegara in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through a student learning motivation questionnaire administered in each cycle. The questionnaire consisted of 23 items, including both positive and negative statements. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative techniques. The improvement in students’ learning motivation was reflected in the increase in the percentage of students categorized as having high motivation—from 16.67% in the pre-cycle to 33.33% in cycle I and 54.17% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the percentage of students with very high motivation increased from 8.33% in the pre-cycle to 16.67% in cycle I and 37.50% in cycle II. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach effectively enhances students’ learning motivation in Pancasila Education at SDN 36 Cakranegara.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN 23 Mataram in the subject of Pancasila Education through the implementation of the Think Pair and Share (TPS) active learning model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 16 students. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The average score increased from 64.0 in the pre-cycle to 76.5 in Cycle I with a classical mastery level of 70%, and further increased to 86.3 in Cycle II with a classical mastery level of 94%. The application of the TPS model not only improved students’ learning outcomes but also encouraged active participation, critical thinking skills, and confidence in expressing opinions. Therefore, the Think Pair and Share model is proven effective as a learning strategy to enhance students’ understanding of Pancasila values in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving students’ learning outcomes on the topic of addition and subtraction operations in fourth-grade students at SDN 50 Cakranegara. The method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The population in this study comprised all fourth-grade students at SDN 50 Cakranegara, from which a sample of 28 students was selected based on initial assessment results. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, where students were chosen based on specific criteria—namely, fourth-grade students at SDN 50 Cakranegara with diverse basic mathematical abilities. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by the increase in average scores from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, the average student score reached 70, while in Cycle II, it increased to 80. Furthermore, the percentage of students achieving mastery learning rose from 64% in Cycle I to 93% in Cycle II. The study concludes that the implementation of the TaRL approach is effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in addition and subtraction operations, and can serve as an alternative instructional method that is more responsive to students’ learning needs.

Abstract

Twenty-first-century learning demands innovation in teaching methods and media to enhance learning outcomes effectively. One strategy that can be applied is Problem-Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Pop-Up Book media, which creates a more engaging and interactive learning atmosphere. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the PBL model assisted by Pop-Up Book media in improving the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SDN 44 Cakranegara. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, involving 25 sixth-grade students as research subjects. The instruments used included learning outcome tests, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, which were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively by measuring mastery learning based on the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). The results showed that before implementing PBL with Pop-Up Book media, the students’ average score was only 54, with a mastery rate of 24%. After the first cycle, the mastery rate increased to 60%, though some students still struggled to understand the material. In the second cycle, after improvements such as more intensive teacher guidance and clearer group task distribution, the mastery rate increased significantly to 84%. Therefore, the implementation of the PBL model assisted by Pop-Up Book media proved to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in the subject of Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) for Grade V students at SD Negeri 30 Ampenan through the use of interactive media based on Wordwall. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, which includes the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 28 fifth-grade students with diverse academic abilities. The study was conducted over three sessions using the Problem-Based Learning model supported by Wordwall media. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes from the pre-cycle stage, with an average score of 75 (46% mastery), to 78 in Cycle I (71% mastery), and further to 80 in Cycle II (89% mastery). Wordwall media proved effective in encouraging active student participation, increasing learning motivation, and facilitating conceptual understanding through interactive activities. Therefore, this approach can be used as an alternative strategy to enhance the quality of classroom learning, particularly in the IPAS subject.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN 45 Mataram by using the Sasambo Cultural Board media through the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), employing the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research instruments used were tests and documentation. Data were analyzed using written multiple-choice tests to assess students’ cognitive abilities in Indonesian language learning outcomes. The results of the study show an improvement in students’ learning outcomes as observed in cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I, 7 students achieved mastery while 8 students did not, resulting in a mastery percentage of 46% and non-mastery of 54%. In cycle II, there was a significant increase with 15 students achieving mastery and none remaining unmastered, reaching a 100% mastery rate. Thus, the use of the Sasambo Cultural Board media through the CRT approach effectively improved the Indonesian language learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN 45 Mataram.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the interest and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 31 Mataram in mathematics through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by the interactive learning media Wordwall. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation and tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 69.7 in the pre-cycle to 91.6 after the intervention. Furthermore, students demonstrated higher enthusiasm and active participation during the learning process. Wordwall proved to be effective in motivating students and enhancing conceptual understanding through engaging interactive activities. These findings indicate that the combination of PBL and interactive media such as Wordwall can create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, overcome challenges in mathematics learning, and improve students’ academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students’ self-confidence through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model at SDN 31 Mataram. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in three cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were third-grade students who initially exhibited low levels of self-confidence. The results indicate that the implementation of PBL effectively improved students’ self-confidence, as reflected in their increased willingness to express opinions, ability to face challenges, and active participation in group discussions. In addition, students’ academic performance showed a significant improvement, with the average score increasing from 69.13 to 90.40. PBL also contributed to the development of students’ social skills, such as collaboration and communication. These findings confirm that PBL is an effective learning method for fostering an inclusive learning environment, supporting character development, and improving the overall quality of education.
