The aim of JIEMAR ( Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management Research is to publish theoretical and empirical articles that are aimed to contrast and extend existing theories, and build new theories that contribute to advance our understanding of phenomena related with industrial engineering and industrial management in organizations, from the perspectives of Production Planning/Scheduling/Inventory, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality Management, Operations Management and Operational Research. The contributions can adopt confirmatory (quantitative) or explanatory (mainly qualitative) methodological approaches. Theoretical essays that enhance the building or extension of theoretical approaches are also welcome. JIEMAR selects the articles to be published with a double bind, peer review system, following the practices of good scholarly journals. JIEMAR is published monthly (on-line versions), following an open access policy. On-line publication allows to reduce publishing costs, and to make more agile the process of reviewing and edition. JIEMAR defends that open access publishing fosters the advance of scientific knowledge, making it available to everyone. Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance. The method used in this study is a quantitative verification method. The instrument used is a questionnaire consisting of 30 statements given to 290 employees. Sampling was done by accidental technique (convenient sampling). The research data were analyzed using Smart PLS version 3.0. The results showed that transformational leadership had a significant effect on employee performance (p<0.05), work motivation had no significant effect on employee performance (p>0.05), and transformational leadership mediated by motivation had no significant effect on employee performance (p >0.05). Further research is expected to create a transformational leadership improvement model that can increase employee motivation and performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of social capital, collaborative competence and collaborative competence on sustainable competitive advantage. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 fundamentally resulted in a change in the way people think, live, and relate to one another. This era will disrupt various human activities in various fields, not only in the field of technology, but also other fields such as economic, social, and political. Industry 4.0 creates new industrial design principles such as simulation models, decentralized decision making, real-time ability to collect and analyze data, provide insights, adapt flexibility to change by reconfiguring individuals and improving service orientation. In a highly dynamic environment, companies need experience and are able to adapt to create a sustainable competitive advantage. This type of research is quantitative research using primary data. The data was obtained by spreading questionnaire questions directly to the public through Google forms. Respondents are micro small and medium enterprises in South Tangerang. The type of questionnaire used is a closed questionnaire. The sample selection procedure is carried out by convenience sampling technique. The study sample amounted to 52 respondents of MSME actors in South Tangerang. The analysis method used is multiple analysis with data processing using Smart-PLS applications. The results showed that social capital and collaborative competence variables had no effect on sustainable competitive advantage, while entrepreneurial behavior variables had an effect on sustainable competitive advantage.

Puff You! is a Café Specialize Choux located in Greenville, West Jakarta. Puff You! offers the main product Choux gluten-free with the taste of the Indonesia flavors which can provide an opportunity for consumers who cannot eat desserts containing gluten. Puff You! is not only selling dessert choux but also equipped with various types of coffee, tea, and snacks. Puff You! target market are people who from 15 years and above who live in West Jakarta, but it is possible if people who live outside DKI Jakarta visit Puff You! Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the benefits of implementing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in various industries and provide suggestions for application to the defense industry. The method of writing this article is a literature review, which is a review by collecting, understanding, analyzing and then concluding as many as 30 international journal articles about the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System published from 2015 to 2021 regarding the application of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System method in various industrial sectors and the defense industry. The analysis used is 30 journal article content analysis. The results of the literature review analysis state that the application of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System method can improve the company's image, increase employee participation, reduce environmental pollution, increase market share and consumer demands, Can increase consumer confidence and provide a good image, Increase efficiency to be able to compete in the market globally, so as to gain profit so that the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System is recommended to be applied in the defense industry.

Abstract

Lean manufacturing is a production practice that considers all existing resource expenditures to get economic value to customers without any waste. Lean Manufacturing has been widely implemented in various industries to improve performance and competitiveness. The purpose of this article is to explore the benefits of implementing Lean Manufacturing in various industries and provide recommendations to be applied to the defense industry. The method of writing this article is a literature review, which is a review by collecting, understanding, analyzing and then concluding as many as 35 international journal articles published from 2010 to 2021 regarding the application of the six sigma method in various industrial sectors and the defense industry. The analysis used used 25 content analyzes of journal articles, which had been collected and then looked for similarities and differences and then discussed to draw conclusions. The results of the literature review analysis state that the application of the Lean Manufacturing concept is a strategy for companies to obtain various benefits, including being able to increase production productivity, companies, increasing process efficiency in producing products, reducing production costs so that product selling prices can be lower, increasing product competitiveness from companies so that the Lean Manufacturing method is recommended to be applied in the defense industry.

Abstract

Lean six sigma (LSS) has been widely used in various industries to improve performance and competitiveness. The purpose of this article is to explore the benefits of implementing lean manufacturing in various industries and provide recommendations for application to the defense industry. The method of writing this article is a literature review, which is a review by collecting, understanding, analyzing and then concluding as many as 35 international journal articles published from 2010 to 2021 regarding the application of the six sigma method in various industrial sectors and the defense industry. The analysis used used 25 content analyzes of journal articles, which had been collected and then looked for similarities and differences and then discussed to draw conclusions. The results of the literature review analysis state that the application of the LSS method can reduce variation, measure defects and improve product, process and service quality, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste in the process. resulting in reduced delivery duration, lower costs, and increased customer satisfaction. LSS increases customer satisfaction, cost, quality, process speed, and invested capital. eliminate waste and reduce defects and variations in organizational processes. The application of LSS can be recommended to be applied in the defense industry.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the benefits of implementing ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System in various industries and to provide suggestions to be applied to the defense industry. The method of writing this article is a literature review, namely reviewing by collecting, understanding, analyzing and then concluding as many as 30 international journal articles about ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems published from 2015 to 2021 regarding the implementation of ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in various industrial sectors. and the defense industry. The analysis used was 27 content analysis of journal articles. The results of the literature review analysis state that ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System has direct benefits, such as increasing its ability to respond to regulatory compliance issues, reducing overall incident costs, reducing downtime and operating interruption costs, reducing insurance premium costs, reducing absenteeism and employees and turnover rate, Recognition for having reached international standards. ISO 45001 improves the effectiveness of work accident control by implementing a comprehensive OHS management system. ISO 45001 hopes that by controlling the OHS Management System it is able to support SMK3 in all forms of organization so that ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System is recommended to be applied in the defense industry.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) has been applied in various industries to increase productivity. The purpose of this article is to explore the benefits of implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in various industries and provide recommendations to be applied to the defense industry. The method of writing this article is a literature review, which is a review by collecting, understanding, analyzing and then concluding as many as 30 international journal articles published from 2010 to 2021 regarding the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in various industrial sectors and the defense industry. The analysis used used 25 content analyzes of journal articles, which had been collected and then looked for similarities and differences and then discussed to draw conclusions. The results of the literature review analysis state that the application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). These effects are reduced costs, decreased quality, smoother product delivery, and increased productivity. improve machine and equipment performance, reduce reject and rework and increase production output.
