Abstract

In recent years, a new term has emerged which is now widely applied as IDS (Intrusion Detection System), namely Deep Learing. One type of Deep – Learing is RNN (Recurrent Neural Network) which has recently been applied to IDS. Cyber attacs cannot be avoided, but they can be anticipated by building a system than can detect the performance of network data flows so that users can avoid all kinds of attacks and intrusion attempts from unknown parties. This research aims to test and analyse the accurary and speed of the Recurrent Neural Network in detecting attacks. The method used for this research is RNN, which is operated through the Python and Google Colab programs. Based on the results, the model was trained with 50 epochs resulting in an accurary of 92%. Meanwhile, a model with 30 epochs produces an accurary of 99%. So, the model can work well on training data with a total of 30 epochs.

Abstract

The main problem in choosing an e-commerce platform for an online business is finding the one that best suits the specific needs of the business. Each platform has its advantages and disadvantages, such as ease of use, cost, features offered, as well as support for inventory management, shipping, and payments. Other challenges include ensuring that the platform can support future business growth, offer good scalability, and provide flexibility in terms of customization and integration with digital marketing tools. In addition, data security and a good user experience are also important considerations for long-term success. The purpose of this study is to implement the MABAC method and Entropy weighting in determining the best e-commerce platform for online businesses, so that this research can provide clear and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders regarding the most effective e-commerce platform. The application of the MABAC method combined with Entropy weighting in determining the best e-commerce platform for online business people offers a comprehensive and objective approach in decision-making. This combination not only improves decision-making accuracy, but also ensures that the most important criteria are weighted accordingly, resulting in more reliable results in choosing the best platform for business needs. The final result of the MABAC Platform A score is the first choice, considering the highest score of 0.82, which indicates its optimal performance in meeting the criteria that have been set. In addition, Platforms B and C, with scores of 0.78 and 0.75, respectively.

Abstract

Medan Selayang sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Medan City that experiences urban flooding problems. There are at least seven flood points found in the area. Until now, the solution has been to increase the size of the existing drainage channels, which is still a conventional drainage system that adheres to the concept of grey infrastructure. Therefore, it is necessary to find a new method of solving urban flooding problems that is more sustainable, where rainwater can flow and not cause flooding, but also has the opportunity to be absorbed into the soil layer to increase groundwater reserves. Sustainable drainage systems are one method that can solve these problems. There are at least ten methods in sustainable drainage system, therefore a decision-making analysis is needed to select the most appropriate infrastructure to be implemented in Medan Selayang Sub-district. Decision-making is done with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and the following order is obtained: First place with a score of 130 is occupied by rainwater harvesting, followed by permeable pavement and rain garden with a final score of 128 each.

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem plays a vital role in maintaining coastal environmental balance. However, mangrove degradation continues to increase due to a lack of public awareness and education about its benefits and conservation methods. This study aims to develop a mobile-based educational application focused on introducing mangroves, highlighting their benefits, and demonstrating conservation techniques. The Waterfall method was applied in its development, consisting of the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This method was chosen for its structured and systematic approach, allowing for a well-planned application development that meets user needs. Testing results indicate that this application provides educational information interactively and is easily accessible to a broad audience, especially students and coastal communities. This application is expected to raise public awareness of the importance of mangrove conservation and serve as an effective solution in disseminating information about the mangrove ecosystem

Abstract

One of the main features in the point blank game is the title system, the benefit of the title gives the effect of the character gaining additional abilities and increased performance when using weapons. The purpose of this study is to create a website-based decision support system that can help point blank game players in choosing the optimal title combination for weapons, then a decision support system test is carried out using a data sample which will later be compared with the results of the manual calculation of the data sample, to obtain this purpose the method used in this study is the TOPSIS. The TOPSIS method is used because it is one of the methods in multi-criteria decision-making, which is known for its ease in calculating and interpreting results. Based on the results of the TOPSIS method calculation trial using a sample of 8 alternative and 7 criteria data, which were calculated manually and using the decision support system of this study, both produced title still assassin with a prevalence value of 0.36, title nimble sneaker with a prevalence value of 0.36, and title shooting star with a prevalence value of 0.325 are the recommendations of the results of this study for the combination of titles which fills 3 title slots in Game Point Blank for the use of assault rifles, sub machine guns, snipers, and shotguns.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a national company engaged in the maritime industry, including shipbuilding and repairs. In its production activities, there are welding activities in the pipe workshop. In these activities, there are workers who experience complaints in certain parts of the body because they continue to work in less ergonomic positions. This problem is usually caused by poor work posture, lifting heavy loads, or lack of work facilities that support comfort. These complaints, if not handled properly, can increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders that have the potential to reduce worker productivity. In solving the problems that occur, worker posture measurements are carried out using the RULA and REBA methods with the Fuzzy Logic approach to determine the level of MSDS risk. The results of the RULA method work posture measurement were 7 and the REBA method was 8. The use of these two work posture measurement methods is used as input variables in the fuzzy logic approach. The results of the output value for the MSDs risk level are 6.92 where this value is included in the high category. From the results of the processing above, it can be an evaluation of improvements for non-ergonomic work postures and work facilities.

Abstract

An efficient facility layout is crucial for improving productivity and operational efficiency, especially for Small and Medium Enterprises like CV. XYZ, which face space limitations and inefficient material flow. This study aims to redesign the facility layout using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method to optimize material flow, reduce internal transportation, and enhance the competitiveness of CV. XYZ in the screen printing industry. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The SLP stages include activity analysis, calculation of Material Handling Costs (MHC), creating a from-to chart, priority scale table, activity relationship chart, and layout simulation using Blocplan software. The results show that the proposed layout successfully reduced the distance between workstations, optimized the process flow, and decreased MHC by 7% or IDR 15,648.75. These changes enhanced production efficiency, minimized material handling time, and created a more organized and productive layout. By effectively redesigning the facility layout, CV. XYZ improved its operational efficiency.

Abstract

Ergonomics aims to ensure worker comfort while doing their work. Work posture is very important to determine the effectiveness of a job. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are characterized by injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, cartilage, bones, blood vessels in the hands, feet, neck, and back. This study aims to analyze work posture in order to reduce the risk of work accidents. The REBA method analyzes work postures that focus on the body parts of the neck, back, arms, wrists, and feet of workers, and considers external loads and work activities. While the JSI method focuses on effort intensity, effort duration, number of efforts per minute, hand/wrist position, work speed, duration of activity per day. With the analysis of work postures on both workers using REBA, the final score for worker 1 was 10 and for worker 2 was 8, which means that checks and changes in implementation in the work environment are needed. Then, in the analysis of the worker's body posture using the JSI method on worker 1, the JSI value was 5 and on worker 2, the JSI value was 6.75, which means that this type of work is at risk of injury so that changes in the implementation of the work environment are needed. Based on the results of the analysis of work posture using both methods, in the thin plate cutting process, it is necessary to improve facilities and the work environment.

Abstract

Conventional blind canes have limitations in providing accurate information about the user's environmental conditions, especially in recognizing obstacles and determining location. Therefore, this study aims to design and build a smart blind cane equipped with ultrasonic sensors and a microcontroller-based GPS system. This cane is designed to help blind users detect obstacles around them and determine their location more independently. The main system of this cane consists of an ultrasonic sensor to detect the distance of obstacles in front of the user and a GPS module to track the user's location. Data from the sensors and GPS are processed by a microcontroller, which then provides feedback to the user through vibrations and sounds. When an obstacle is detected within a certain distance, vibrations will be activated to provide a warning, while location information can be accessed through an application or other supporting devices. The test results show that this blind cane has a high level of accuracy in detecting obstacles up to a distance of 2 meters and fairly good positioning accuracy with an integrated GPS system. This cane can improve the mobility and sense of security of users in different environments. Thus, this design makes a positive contribution to assistive technology for the blind, enabling them to be more independent in their daily activities.

Abstract

Fire is one of the events that can cause major impacts, ranging from material losses to life safety risks. To overcome this, technology is needed that can detect and extinguish fires quickly, especially in areas that are difficult to reach or too dangerous for humans. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of an Arduino-based automatic fire extinguishing robot equipped with a fire sensor and camera. The fire sensor is used to detect the presence of a fire source, while the camera functions as a visual support tool that helps the robot navigate and identify the position of the fire more accurately. This robot is designed to be able to move independently to the fire point after successful detection. Once close enough, the robot will activate the extinguishing mechanism to put out the fire. This prototype was tested in various environmental scenarios and varying fire intensities to measure the level of detection accuracy, response speed, and effectiveness in the extinguishing process. The test results show that the robot is able to detect and extinguish small-scale fires with a high success rate. Although there are still some limitations in terms of speed and detection distance, this prototype shows great potential as a supporting technology for fire extinguishing, especially for high-risk areas. With further development, it is hoped that this robot can function as a supporting device in handling small-scale fires and as a solution to maintain human safety from direct exposure to fire risks.
