Abstract

This design is based on the results of observations and literature studies, precisely for fish farming feed. Fish feed is always there, but has a relatively expensive price. Especially as a fish farmer, must have alternatives to develop his business. Because there is no use of a floating pellet molding machine, the machine was designed as a solution. Usually this machine is only used in pellet molding from fine bran and frementation materials that have been specifically designed to make animal feed. This design is carried out to make pellet printers from bran and calculate the production capacity. The design results use a 1450 rpm electric motor, 1:50 gear box, conveyor tank with a length of 220 mm, die with a size of 2 and 4 mm and a thickness of 8 mm, a cutting knife with a thickness of 1 mm, a length of 35 mm with a speed of 9 rpm and produces a capacity of 18 kg / hour.

Abstract

Machinery is equipment that is absolutely necessary for companies in carrying out the production process. The bottle filling machine is one of the automatic machines that functions to fill liquid products into packaging. In the development of automation systems, of course, here we need a general control device (Universal) that does not require special power in operation. This research aims to get the time needed to fill 250 and 500 ml bottles, design nozzles for bottle filling and make plc program ledder on bottle filling machine. The system design on the Bottle Filling machine so that it can fill and lock the lid automatically by using a controller in the form of a PLC as a full controller of the system. In making ladder diagrams using the 7 gate logic method (gate logic). In wiring diagrams that contain the arrangement of the series of components used, and are intended to facilitate maintenance and repair of electrical systems, wiring diagrams can also speed up fault finding and shorten maintenance time. The structure of the programming algorithm contains the sequence of work processes on each component contained in the machine.

Abstract

The use of biodiesel in boilers has great benefits because it can reduce exhaust emissions. The purpose of this study is to test the quality of diesel and biodiesel raw materials as fuel from boilers, analyze the concentration of polluting gases (NOx, CO2, SO2) from the combustion of biodiesel and diesel oil experimentally. The combustion system in boilers tends to be simpler than compression ignition as done in diesel engines. This research was conducted experimentally on a fire tube boiler, with a heat input rate of 60,000 kCal / hour and a pressure of 3 bar using biodiesel made from CPO (crude palm oil) as fuel. The mixture varies on 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% biodiesel in a mixture with biodiesel (B0, B5, B10, B15, B20 and B25). This research was conducted experimentally by testing exhaust gas emissions produced from exhaust gas chimneys which are expected to produce low exhaust emissions and are environmentally friendly. The results showed that the use of biodiesel reduces gas emissions by increasing the value of biodiesel in the mixture. The results showed that the lowest exhaust gas emission was around 4.142% (NOx); 12.50% (SO2) and 7.9% (CO2) are contained in a mixture of 25% biodiesel in fuel (B25).

Abstract

In this study, the material used was coconut husk fiber with a straight fiber orientation direction with different volume fractions with alkali treatment (NaOH) for two hours and without treatment using Polyester BQTN 157 as the matrix. Manufacture by printing in printed, bending testing carried out with reference to ASTM D 6110 standard. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal bending strength of coconut coir fiber composites at volume fractions 0% fiber 100% resin, 10% fiber 80% resin, 20% fiber 80% resin, 30% fiber 70% resin, 40% fiber 60% resin, 50% resin 50% fiber, 60% resin 40% fiber and 70% fiber 30% resin with alkaline treatment (NaOH) for two hours and without treatment and find out the fracture results in specimens that have optimal prices from bending testing. The results of composite testing of coconut coir fiber without treatment with volume fraction variations with bending testing obtained the average bending elasticity modulus at Vf 60% resin 40% fiber with a value of 619047.619 MPa. And the test results with alkali treatment (NaOH) obtained the average bending elasticity modulus at Vf 70% resin 30% fiber with a value of 4893.410928 MPa. Abstract

A steam power plant or better known as a boiler or steam boiler, the steam boiler itself has the main components, namely the pipe used to circulate water, the pipe itself is made of metal material, the operation of the boiler, the pipe in the boiler combustion chamber experiences a change in temperature which resulted in a deformation that resulted in a change in the mechanical properties of the pipe material. This chapter will explain the steps taken in carrying out several tests with the aim of knowing the hardness of the boiler pipe material. The tests carried out are testing the microstructure, and the hardness value, which will be explained in the flow chart in the sub-chapter below. The hardness decreased, at a load of 1500 kgf. The hardness value decreased not too significantly, from 132.1667 to 91.81667 BHN. That the decrease in hardness is only 0.43% Obtained the standard average hardness value in the boiler with each brinell test, amounting to 132.1667 BHN Obtained the average hardness value which is affected by the temperature of the boiler combustion chamber with each brinell test, amounting to 91.71667 HRB, Based on the value of the hardness test results compared to that after heating experienced a decrease in hardness in the brinell test by 0.43%.

Abstract

Network security system on the server is an important factor to ensure the stability, integrity and validity of data. Implementation of Snort-based Intrusion Detection System can save software procurement costs because it is free and reliable enough to detect security attacks. Snort-based IDS system can be implemented on Linux operating system. An attack may or may not be detected by Snort IDS depending on the presence or absence of appropriate rules. The testing process used is a port scanning attack technique, brute force attack technique, and hacker IP address blocking. The port scanning attack technique can generate important information about a network and can detect open ports, including port 22, which is the secure shell. The brute force attack technique can generate illegal username and password combinations on the server system. IDS snort can detect incoming attacks on the server system, then IDS snort can detect the IP address that is trying to hack the server system. Ensure data on the server system is secure by allowing the administrator to track any hacker activity.

Abstract

Determining the choice of the department in the implementation of On Job Training (OJT) for students is always based on the needs and requests of the hotel or manually dividing the number of students who will carry out Job Training with the operational department in the hotel. Selection is often not in accordance with the potential of student expertise that has been achieved academically. Student academic data is often only archived, there is no utilization and efficient processing to obtain patterns, or habits that can be found as material for analysis in higher education institutions to improve the quality of students and campuses. To overcome the existing problems, the Udinus hospitality management study program utilizes student academic data to help determine department choices in the implementation of job training. The method used in this study is uses the Data Mining Classification Algorithm, namely Algorithm C4.5. The purpose of this research is to find out that the classification model created using the C4.5 Algorithm decision tree model can assist Study Programs in considering the selection of majors for student Job Training. This research is included in experimental research that uses data from students by carrying out the stages of classification methods such as literature review, data collection, data selection, data processing, and data testing. The result achieved is the application of the decision tree algorithm rule C4.5 by using data on student scores that can be used to assist in determining the selection of majors in the implementation of Job Training. The test results using the decision tree C4.5 algorithm obtained good results with an accuracy of up to 94.44% with a ratio of 80% training data and 20% test data, the ratio of the number of training data can affect the accuracy of values ​​in each experiment.

Abstract

Human Development Index is an indicator of the progress of a country, Information Technology is an important supporter to measure the Human Development Index. This research can provide an overview to measure the progress of a country in terms of access to Information Technology. This study processed secondary data provided by the Central Statistics Agency from 2017-2019. Using K-Means and K-Medoids clustering methods. K-Means is a popular non-hierarchical grouping method that groups objects by distance to a central point, aiming to maximize similarity within groups. K-Medoids is a powerful algorithm that handles outliers using techniques such as CLARA and PAM. In 2017 with an average of 0, Gorontalo 294611827 was a low cluster while in 2018 and 2019 Gorontalo entered a medium cluster with an average of 0.349570215 and 0.394531648. Similar to Central Sulawesi, in 2017 with an average of 0.275848883 Central Sulawesi was included in the low cluster while in 2018 and 2019 Central Sulawesi entered the medium cluster with an average of 0.291938731 and 0.334276807 From this result, it can be ascertained, by increasing knowledge in Information Technology, the HDI in an area can increase as well.

Abstract

Kondisi bisnis yang tidak menentu dapat berdampak pada permasalahan terkait dengan permintaan dan persediaan. Tingkat persediaan yang kurang baik berdampak pada permasalahan kekurangan maupun persediaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mensimulasikan tingkat persediaan suatu distributor berdasarkan estimasi tingkat permintaan yang terjadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model simulasi program dinamik dengan bantuan tools Powersim 10. Hasil pemodelan dinyatakan valid apabila titik validasi AME kurang dari 30% dan dinyatakan menyerupai bila titik validasi AME kurang dari 10% Hasil simulasi menunjukkan pemodelan pada stok gudang mendapatkan nilai validasi 3,37 dan tingkat permintaan sebesar 2,02 yang yang menyatakan model data dikatakan valid. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan hasil simulasi memberikan sistem prediksi lebih baik dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode moving average.

Abstract

The use of the Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) as a part of the Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) method in the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) has been a focus of international research to enhance data security. In this experiment, chi-square analysis and entropy analysis are employed to evaluate the effectiveness of applying LCG to CBC-AES compared to conventional CBC-AES. The chi-square analysis indicates the highest improvement of 15.1098 and the lowest decrease of -10.4293. This improvement reflects an enhancement in the probability distribution of encrypted data, approaching a random distribution, and indicates a reduced likelihood of statistical attacks on the encrypted data. Meanwhile, the entropy analysis shows the highest increase of 0.3562 and the lowest decrease of -0.0942. This increase suggests that data encrypted using this method becomes more difficult to predict or analyze by unauthorized parties, increasing the unpredictability of the encrypted data. The research results demonstrate a significant improvement in data security, with a 3.65% increase in chi-square analysis, indicating a more even probability distribution of data, and a 0.066% increase in entropy analysis, indicating higher unpredictability in encrypted data. These findings are promising and indicate the potential of LCG in enhancing cryptographic system security, although further research is needed for validation and optimization of this method in the context of information security.
