Abstract

The influence of media technology extends beyond their importance to human existence, to the point where they are being utilized to disseminate revolutionary propaganda in the form of hate speech. According to McLuhan's idea, for a communication phenomena to occur through the use of media, it must do more than just consider the medium in which the message will be delivered. In analyzing the context of the message on a specific platform, this investigation on Twitter in Indonesia demonstrates how Twitter has become a facilitator of extremism and an accelerant of radicalization chances. In contrast to the common belief that radicalism has a single meaning, the purpose of this study is to explain why the media and messages can only substantially alter the mode of communication if they are backed by ideological components and features of the technology itself in Indonesia. Abstract

Ralstonia solanacearum is the cause of bacterial wilt on many Solanaceous crops. Antagonistic bacterium can be used to biologically control the pathogen. Lysinibacillus sp. was proven to be able to control R. solanacearum. To formulate the biopesticide, beside the active ingredients, a carrier materials is needed. The carrier material used in this study was 5% of 80 mesh carbon fiber as the site for the bacteria to attach, and enriched with ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO Nps) as one of the plant micro nutrients. The objective of the study was to determine the concentration of ZnO Nps that is viable for Lysinibacillus sp. and able to suppress the in vitro growth of R. Solanacearum. The antagonism test was carried out by using the completely randomized design with 11 treatments and 3 repetitions. The results showed that the largest inhibition zone, 8,30 mm, was caused by the treatment ZLd (ZnO NPs 1000 ppm + Lysinibacillus) without carbon, and 2,12 mm in the treatment of ZLKa ( (ZnO NPs 250 ppm + Lysinibacillus + carbon fiber) with carbon.

Abstract

This writing aims to examine and analyze business/civil dispute resolution through online dispute resolution (ODR), institutionalization of mediation in civil cases in court, implementation of mediation as online dispute resolution (ODR) in civil courts, obstacles and legal implications for parties - the litigants. Mediation as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism outside the court has long been used in various business and civil cases, the environment, labor, land, housing, consumer disputes, and so on which is a manifestation of society's demand for fast, effective and efficient dispute resolution. The issuance of Perma Number 1 of 2016 concerning Mediation Procedures in Courts and Perma Number 3 of 2022 concerning Electronic Mediation in Courts further strengthens efforts to reconcile as stipulated in Article 130 HIR/154 Rbg. Even so, dispute resolution through mediation in court is actually a vulnerable mechanism, meaning that the possibility of failure is also very large. Anticipating this requires prerequisites that must be met, such as trust, willingness or willingness to waive some of the rights of each party to the dispute, and the availability of a professional mediator.

Abstract

The border issue has always been a problem that continues to be debated by every country. One of the issues that are important but rarely highlighted is social issues that involve relations and interactions between people in bordering countries. As happened in Motaain, the border between Indonesia and Timor Leste. The separation of the two regions after the 1999 East Timor Popular Consultation resulted in various traditions and indigenous cultures being transformed into cross-border cultures. This transformation occurred because previously the two boundary communities came from the same culture. This can be explored from three aspects: historical, cultural, and genealogical ties. Separation of the country does not eliminate cultural relations and interactions even though they have different citizenship statuses. Cross-border culture creates harmonization of border communities so that horizontal conflicts at the border can be minimized. However, cross-border culture needs state control because it risks territorial sovereignty, as well as having loopholes for certain elements to exploit to create transnational violations and crimes. This issue has become the concern of the two countries in controlling people across the border. State policies that negotiate with culture as well as negate previous opinions that see the state as the sole actor in managing boundaries. The state does not have to control borders with power, but it can also be done by giving space for its citizens to interpret borders with cross-border culture
