Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tangerang City, considering the strategic role of MSMEs in the national economy and the importance of human resource performance in sustaining business operations. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, using a survey distributed to 100 MSME employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires that passed validity and reliability testing and met classical assumption requirements. The findings show that all transformational leadership instrument items were valid and reliable, and the data were normally distributed. The simple regression results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive influence on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.582. The t-test confirms that this influence is statistically significant, while the coefficient of determination reveals that 61.2% of the variation in employee performance is explained by transformational leadership. These results demonstrate that higher levels of transformational leadership lead to improved employee performance, particularly in work quality, productivity, and commitment. Overall, the study concludes that transformational leadership is an essential managerial factor that should be developed within MSMEs to enhance human resource performance and strengthen business competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the application of Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA) in the canang sari production value chain in Bali to address material inefficiencies and the problem of religious waste, while simultaneously empowering female artisans. Through a qualitative case study approach with observations and in-depth interviews with artisan groups, the study revealed that approximately 30% of raw materials are wasted as production waste, considered a given cost. The MFCA analysis successfully identified hidden costs and critical inefficiencies, and revealed the dilemma between ritual sacredness and environmental responsibility in canang sari waste management. The research findings emphasize that MFCA implementation must be tailored to the unique socio-cultural and spiritual context. As an output, this study designed a simplified participatory MFCA model that serves as a tool to improve artisans' financial literacy, optimize raw material use, and open a dialogue toward more ecological canang sari designs. Thus, this study not only extends the application of environmental accounting theory to the realm of the culture-based creative economy but also offers a holistic solution that synergizes economic efficiency, environmental sustainability, gender empowerment, and the preservation of local values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of employee mindfulness in shaping workplace spirituality, job satisfaction, and innovative work behavior among employees in Indonesia. The Indonesian context, characterized by a high level of religiosity, provides a relevant foundation for examining the relationship between individual awareness, workplace spirituality, and innovative behavior within organizational settings. This study adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 145 active employees from various industry sectors in Indonesia. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS with the support of SmarPLS 4 software. The results indicate that employee mindfulness has a positive and significant effect on workplace spirituality, which is found to have a positive and significant influence on innovative work behavior and job satisfaction. However, the findings reveal that employee mindfulness does not have a significant effect on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction does not significantly influence innovative behavior, which is driven more by self-awareness and a sense of meaning at work than by job satisfaction alone. Theoretically, this study extends the literature by highlighting the role of mindfulness and workplace spirituality as important psychological resources in fostering innovative work behavior, particularly in the context of developing countries. Practically, the findings imply that organizations should not focus solely on enhancing job satisfaction, but also on cultivating work environments that support awareness, meaningful work, and spirituality in order to promote sustained innovation and employee well-being.

Abstract

Dividend policy is a reflection of managerial preferences in allocating profits between the interests of shareholders and long-term internal financing needs. In the context of manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesian LQ45 index, dividend distribution patterns exhibit inconsistent changes across periods, indicating complex policy dynamics. This study explores the role of profit performance, liquidity flexibility, and debt intensity on profit distribution decisions from 2019 to 2024. A quantitative approach was applied using secondary data from the financial statements of five manufacturing issuers consistently listed in the LQ45, analyzed through multiple linear regression. The study results indicate that profit-generating capacity is the dominant factor driving dividends, while liquidity tends to be neutral, and leverage actually limits the scope for profit distribution to shareholders.

Abstract

The population and Civil Registry Office of Denpasar City does not have enough vital information in the service administration population. However, there are phenomenon decline satisfaction in the community and complaints related to slowness of service as well as data input errors that indicate poor employee performance, Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK). This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work environment on employee performance through work discipline as a mediating variable. The population in this study was all PPPK employees, totaling 75 people, with a saturated sampling method (census). Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results of the study found that competence and work environment have a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance directly. However, competence and work environment have a positive and significant effect on work discipline. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. An important finding in this study is that work discipline is proven to fully mediate the influence of competence and work environment on employee performance. It implies that technical competence and physical facilities will only improve performance if they successfully shape employee discipline behavior.

Abstract

Civil servants play a crucial role in government administration and public service delivery. Their performance is influenced not only by competence and work systems but also by psychological and organizational factors, such as transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation. Transformational leadership is expected to create an inspiring work environment, enhance job satisfaction, and foster intrinsic motivation, which in turn improves employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effects of transformational leadership and job satisfaction on employee performance, with intrinsic motivation as a mediating variable, at the Regional Secretariat of Manokwari Regency. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population comprises all 125 civil servants across nine sections of the Regional Secretariat of Manokwari Regency. Using Slovin’s formula with a 5% margin of error, a sample of 95 respondents was obtained through proportionate stratified random sampling to ensure adequate representation from each section. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that transformational leadership and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on intrinsic motivation and employee performance. Intrinsic motivation also has a positive and significant influence on civil servant performance. Furthermore, intrinsic motivation partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance and fully mediates the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of effective transformational leadership and job satisfaction in fostering intrinsic motivation to enhance employee performance.

Abstract

In the dynamic era of digitalization, MSMEs are required to optimize internal resources to maintain a competitive advantage. This study aims to analyze the influence of Inventory Information Systems and Operational Cost Efficiency on Business Performance in MSMEs. Referring to the Resource-Based View (RBV) as a grand theory, this study positions information technology and cost management capabilities as strategic assets that determine organizational success. The research method used a quantitative approach with primary data collected through a structured questionnaire. A purposive sampling technique was used to determine a sample of 128 MSMEs operating in the tempeh industry in Bogor City, with a total of 320 respondents. Data analysis was performed using variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 3 software. The results showed that all hypotheses were significantly accepted. Inventory Information Systems have been shown to positively impact business performance by improving data accuracy and speeding decision-making. Similarly, Operational Cost Efficiency has a strong positive impact on business performance by optimizing profit margins and minimizing resource waste. These findings provide practical insights for MSMEs in designing digital transformation strategies and more targeted cost control. Future research is recommended to integrate external variables such as market uncertainty to enrich the research model.
