Abstract

In the face of growing climatic threats, adaptation, and mitigation strategies have secured a significant place in the global discussions. In a developing country like India, adaptation is crucial to reduce the risk of grassroots communities, carrying the double burden of poverty and climatic vulnerabilities. India, the largest economy from South Asia is potential of setting an example for the Global South in terms of climate change actions. However, executing the actions requires sufficient finance flow as a pre-requisite condition. The commentary briefly offers an overview of the current adaptation finance scenario in India and identifies the major obstacles in mobilising funds to the adaptation sector. India’s adaptation finance is overdependent on the union budget due to a lack of availability and accessibility of the international multi development funds. The meagre involvement of the private sector in the adaptation financing in India puts further pressure on the limited investment capabilities of the government. The definitional ambiguity and the integrated nature of development and adaptation in India make it difficult to track the finance. The issue is further compounded by the weak governance. The resultant climate change adaptation gap provides a glimpse of this whole scenario.

Abstract

The role of individual knowledge in the development of an organization, both public and private sector organizations, shows an important role. The need for private sector workers who have knowledge drives awareness of the importance of acquiring knowledge, especially knowledge that is controlled by each individual in the organization. Employee participation in knowledge sharing activities will increase performance and productivity. The process of sharing knowledge in an organization is driven by several factors including organizational trust, self-efficacy and religiosity. This research aims to analyze and explain how religiosity is a moderating variable on the relationship between organizational trust and self-efficacy on knowledge sharing behavior variables. This research was conducted at the Village Credit Institution (LPD) in Badung Regency, Bali Province, which took a sample of 310 respondents using SPSS Version 26. The results of the research show that organizational trust and self-efficacy influence knowledge sharing behavior. This shows that the higher the level of organizational trust and self-efficacy of LPD employees will result in greater knowledge sharing behavior. This research found that religiosity is able to provide a moderating role on the influence of organizational trust and self-efficacy on knowledge sharing behavior, meaning that religiosity strengthens knowledge sharing behavior. . Religiosity is able to play a quasi-moderating role in the influence of organizational trust and self-efficacy on knowledge sharing behavior, meaning that religiosity strengthens organizational trust and self-efficacy to support knowledge sharing behavior.

Abstract

In the transportation sector, motorized vehicles are currently a contributor to pollution in Indonesia, producing CO2 emissions. In an effort to achieve environmentally friendly and low-carbon motorized vehicles, promoting electric cars to the public is an important strategy that is being pursued by countries throughout the world. The large target of converting ICE cars to electric cars requires a series of analyzes to accelerate efforts to convert the use of electric cars from various angles which will ultimately be successful as a promotional medium for potential electric car users. To carry out this analysis, there is one calculation method, namely calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO) of an electric car. This method has been studied in countries that are concerned with promoting the use of electric cars. In this research, we will present a calculation model for the TCO of electric cars and the TCO of conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars as a comparison. The cars analyzed in this research consist of several electric cars and ICE cars according to their respective performance levels, where for each electric car an analysis of several battery ownership schemes is also attempted, namely those owned by the car owner, rental batteries and those owned by the car owner. However, some components can be repaired. The calculation model will consist of capital and operational costs, namely the purchase price, resale value, government subsidies, retailer discounts, battery replacement costs, maintenance, insurance, vehicle tax and energy consumption costs.

The circular economy contributes to increasing environmental resilience and the social welfare of society. This analysis aims to identify the development of an effective waste bank circular economy model through technological innovation. The method used is bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer software. The research results show that the main challenges faced are a lack of infrastructure, public awareness, and inadequate regulations in several countries. However, this research also highlights the enormous opportunities offered by circular economy models, such as the creation of new jobs, reduced dependence on non-renewable resources, and increased global competitiveness. The implications of implementing a circular economy model for sustainable development support increased resource utilization efficiency, new job creation, and strengthened economic resilience. The implementation of circular economy models in China, Germany, Australia, and Indonesia demonstrates distinct advantages and challenges. China focuses on recycling with subsidies, but still faces challenges in law enforcement and infrastructure. Germany has succeeded in recycling waste with renewable energy, but focuses more on technological innovation than on social innovation.
