Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to determine how is the implementation of the marketing mix strategies and to determine the right and effective marketing strategies to be implemented in increasing revenue of Le Vista Restaurant, Alpina Hotel & Chamonix, France. Research methods: This research was done at Le Vista Restaurant, Alpina Hotel & Spa Chamonix, France. Its data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. They were analyzed using SWOT analysis and QSPM analysis techniques. Findings: There are internal and external factors that influence marketing strategies in increasing revenue at Le Vista Restaurant, Alpina Hotel & Spa Chamonix, France. Based on the results of the IFAS analysis, the main strength is the easy access to go to Le Vista Restaurant from city centre or tourist destination in Chamonix area, while the main weakness is the service from staff to customers at Le Vista Restaurant. Based on the EFAS analysis, it is known that the main opportunity is the influence of customer expenditure pattern that affect the selection and purchase of products, while the main threat faced was local government regulations in the Covid-19 situation. Implications: The results of the IE put the company in the position of Growth Strategic (Cell II). SWOT analysis resulted in 8 strategies, obtained 3 priority marketing strategies and have been calculated through the QSPM with a total TAS of 332.76, 216.53, and 210.86 as follows prioritizing guest satisfaction by providing benefits such as providing satisfying service and affordable prices offered according to the experience gained, organizing special sales and marketing departments for Le Vista Restaurant, and adding product variants for restaurants such as creating packages for customers and innovating by creating different products according to the season in France.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out the extent of the Balinese cultural values implemented to the products and facilities to increase guest satisfaction and the influence of the implementation of Balinese cultural values to products and facilities to increase guest satisfaction in Ayodya Resort Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: Data were collected using distributed questionnaires to the 65 of in-house guests of Ayodya Resort Bali, then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Findings: The Balinese cultural values to products and facilities at Ayodya Resort Bali is well implemented to increase guest satisfaction. The result of multiple regression analysis shows that the implementation of Balinese cultural values to products and facilities simultaneously and partially influences positively to increase guest satisfaction in Ayodya Resort Bali. Implications: This research is expected to be useful as an evaluation and consideration in maintaining and improving the implementation of Balinese cultural values to products and facilities in Ayodya Resort Bali.

Abstract

Purpose: Coinciding with the decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to move the capital city of Indonesia to East Kalimantan, this paper was written for the purpose of ideally designing National Gallery of Indonesia (Galeri Nasional Indonesia or GNI) which is complete/integrated, representative, artistic, and has attractiveness as a tourist spot and recreation area. Research methods: Data collection in the design uses online data collection in order to obtain site data and also existing conditions based on the results of the Nagara Rimba Nusa competition. From this, data and analysis of the design are obtained which are then processed into a design concept. Findings: The design concept of the National Gallery of Indonesia in the new capital of Indonesia in East Kalimantan is combined with the design theme from Charles Jencks resulted in a building composition based on the analysis and also the previous concept. The composition of the gallery building mass resulting from the analysis and the theme of “multivalence” produces a unique building form with various philosophical meanings. Implications: The final result of the design process produces concepts, working drawings as well as the 3D rendering of the design.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the attractiveness of Tugu (Tugu Pal Putih) as a leading tourist attraction in the current situation of Yogyakarta City space. Research methods: Tugu Pal Putih is at the main road intersection of Yogyakarta City, Indonesia. It has tangible and intangible aspects developed as a research instrument. Data was collected quantitatively using a questionnaire that was compiled based on the characteristics of the object using the semantic differential technique and calculated using Microsoft Excel software. Findings: The vigorous concept of the Tugu as a part of the philosophical axis of Yogyakarta can strengthen the tourists' minds and needs to increase its capacity to give the tourists an experience to feel the philosophical axis. Implications: The study has a beneficial impact on planning the tourists' flow in observing the Tugu. It needs the maintenance of existence as a Yogyakarta cultural symbol and a valuable world cultural heritage that is amazing for tourism

Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to identify the existing practice of adaptive reuse of The Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia, to actualize the destination of religious tourism. Research methods: The Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Mosque as a case study was undertaken with the following instruments: interviews with the Building Authorities, on-site observations of the building conditions, literature search on the previous conservation reports. Findings: The findings suggest improvements on conservation practices by highlighting the discrepancies of the existing heritage building control procedures and requirements. It facilitates the local building authorities to formulate new systematic and transparent conservation guidelines. Implications: An Adaptive-Reuse is one of the ways to preserve the heritage building. The government can be implied this model as a policy to preserve their heritage buildings.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of water empowerment activities carried out by Bali Jungle Camping in Tabanan Regency, Indonesia, in order to establish sustainable ecotourism. Research methods: The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques of observation and documentation. Findings: Bali Jungle Camping has good natural potential to be developed into sustainable ecotourism. In its operation which lasted approximately 4 years, the development was carried out based on environmental sustainability and empowerment of the surrounding community. Implications: Bali Jungle Camping has made several efforts in empowering water but still has several task points towards sustainable ecotourism

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to reveal the recent architectonic design phenomena for Indonesian mosques without dome(s) and minarets. All the mosques have potential uniqueness to be tourist attractions. Research methods: The research refers to interdisciplinary methods in qualitative research of four mosques structures without a dome and/or minaret. Findings: Architectonic designs are interpreted as the desire to demonstrate the postmodern architectural spirits (zeitgeist) of the respective architects by performing anti-deterministic, self-sustaining and/or multivalent architecture. Architects do it to provoke to interpret the new interpretations of the Islamic spirit in architecture in an emotional and cognitive way. Implications: The serial of mosques without dome has been potential to be a religion journey. It has also been potential to be tourist attractions.

Abstract

Purpose: This study is to design a library in Depok City in West Java, Indonesia, which is a Central Government which is adjacent to Jakarta (the nation’s Capital) as well as to be able to support the City of Depok as an education city, and infiltration area. Research methods: It uses a descriptive method and divides into three stages: (1) data exploration by collecting related data and existing site conditions, (2) site and building analysis, (3) building design and making 3d model’s design. Findings: Understanding of surrounding conditions will be very helpful in designing eco-friendly building. Like wise with the building and site design that adapts to local environmental conditions will also provide comfort for the users themselves and even the surrounding residents. Implications: Creating an environmentally friendly library design by implementing the library tourism attractiveness index system will certainly make people interested in visiting continuously and getting positive benefits. The local and wider community not only gain knowledge but also freshness and happiness.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to examine the position of Kampoeng Kepiting Ecotourism Tuban, Bali, Indonesia, through analysis of tourism area life cycle and to design a model for development and innovation of Kampoeng Kepiting Tuban Bali based on the study of attractions, amenities, accessibility, and ancillary component (4As). Research methods: The primary data of this study are collected through involved observation and interviews. The secondary data for this study are from literature study and documentation. Findings: Kampoeng Kepiting Ecotourism Tuban Bali was in stagnation phase. Efforts of development are needed so that the destination does not reach the decline phase. Development model consists of main elements, concentration elements and supporting elements. Implications: The three elements are combined and form a development model of Kampoeng Kepiting Ecotourism Tuban Bali to overcome the stagnation phase so as not to reach the decline phase.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the implementation of sustainable tourism based on environmental management accounting in tourism villages in Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: This research method is qualitative which data collection techniques were done through documentation studies. This method was chosen to gain a deep understanding of the implementation of sustainable tourism based on environmental management accounting in tourism villages in Bali. Findings: The participation of tourism actors in implementing sustainable tourism based on environmental management accounting in tourism villages in Bali is still not maximized. Implications: The process of community empowerment to open accommodation services in the form of homestays that use the principles of green tourism, local transportation services, the availability of craft and art communities, and local guides is still very rare.
