Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of kahoot as a learning evaluation tool in the class XI TITL electric lighting installation subject at SMKN 5 Padang. Technological advances in the world of education are currently increasing rapidly so that the application of learning evaluation requires new innovations to improve the quality of education in an all-digital era. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The object of this research is Kahoot and the use of kahoot as a learning evaluation tool in the Electrical Lighting Installation subject. The subjects in this study were students of class XI TITL 1 SMKN 5 Padang. The research instrument used was in the form of evaluation questions on kahoot in objective and True-False forms as well as student response questionnaires. Based on the response questionnaire regarding the use of kahoot, a positive response was received from students and subject teachers. The average value of students in answering questions using kahoot is in the high category based on the data that has been obtained so that it can be concluded that the application of kahoot as a learning evaluation tool in the subject of electric lighting installation meets the criteria for a good evaluation tool, namely valid, practical, and interesting for used as a learning evaluation tool.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying Problem Based Learning as a learning model in the class XI TITL electric motor installation subject at SMKN 5 Padang. Practical learning, especially in learning to install electric motors, problems are often found in circuits when carrying out practices such as motors that cannot start. Problem Based Learning is very suitable for use in this lesson so that students are accustomed to solving possible problems that occur when carrying out practical use of electric motors. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. The object of this research is Problem Based Learning and the effectiveness of its application to learning outcomes in the Electric Motor Installation subject. The subjects in this study were students of class XI TITL SMKN 5 Padang. The research instrument used was in the form of pretest and posttest questions in the form of objectives and practice assessment sheets. Based on the average value of the posttest, and practice worksheets are in the high category. Therefore the application of Problem Based Learning as a learning model in electric motor installation subjects is said to be effective because the classical value and effect size are in the high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a fixed mindset on student learning motivation in DTK subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire consisting of beliefs about intelligence, talent, character, beliefs about challenges, difficulties, failures, the impact of effort on self-development, beliefs on criticism and other people's input, students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Before conducting research the questionnaire or questionnaire was validated first by 3 lecturers of electrical engineering at FT-UNP, then a research trial was carried out on 40 students. The subjects of this research were 104 students from class X TITL at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. Before conducting data analysis, normality tests and linearity tests were carried out. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative data analysis technique which includes mean, median, mode, standard deviation, frequency distribution tables, histograms, simple linear regression, coefficient of determination and F test. The results showed that the fixed mindset has a significant effect on student learning motivation in DTK subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of trainer media on student learning outcomes in the subject of Electric Motor Installation at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The low learning outcomes of students and difficulties in answering questions about practical material during the exam are caused by the lack of enthusiasm and independence of students during the learning process of Electrical Motor Installation, thus affecting the cognitive and psychomotor domains of students. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research with the use of trainer media to see the effectiveness of student learning outcomes. This research uses a type of experimental research that is categorized into a type of pre-experiment research design with a one-group pretest post-test design. The subject of this research is class XI TITL 1 SMK Negeri 5 Padang in the 2022/2023 school year consisting of 35 students. To measure the effectiveness of this study, a pretest was given before the use of trainer media in learning. The post-test was given after the learning process using the trainer media in the learning process of the Electric Motor Installation practice. And on skill assessment using skill assessment sheets consisting of 5 aspects of assessment. The results of the study were analyzed using class completeness testing, effect size, and skills assessment. The test results show that the value of students who applied using trainer media is better than before using trainer media. The learning outcomes of students after using the media trainer increased, so the use of media trainers is effective for improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education is the key to improving the quality of superior human resources (HR) capable of responding to future challenges. Education aims for each individual to have the useful experience that comes from the teaching and learning process so that they have the desired human resources. Quality human resources can only be obtained from a quality education process. Jobsheet is a learning medium in the form of work procedures and guidelines for students or when doing practicum which contains materials and instructions for practicum implementation. The method used in this study was a pre-experimental research design with a One Shot Case Study design. The research aimed at developing the job sheet for the Equipment Safety and Earthing Practice course, D3 Electrical Engineering Study Program, FT UNP and knowing the level of validity of the job sheet for the Equipment Safety and Earthing Practice course, D3 Electrical Engineering Study Program, Department of Electrical Engineering, FT UNP. This research involved two lecturers as validators who are experts in their fields, namely media experts and material experts. In the media expert's assessment, the results of the testers were very good and declared valid. Whereas in the material expert assessment, the results obtained from the testers were very good and declared valid. Meanwhile, the practicality test conducted on 19 students obtained very good and stated results. So, by obtaining the results of the research conducted, it is expected that the jobsheets developed can be useful for lecturers and students for future practicum lectures.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes and the proportion of mastery learning outcomes after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model in the subject of electric motor installation at SMK Negeri 1 Bonjol. This type of research is initial experimental research (Pre-Experiment) with the One Group Pretest Posttest design. The research subjects were students of class XI TITL SMK Negeri 1 Bonjol for the academic year 2022/2023, totaling 33 students. In this study, the data collection method used pretest and posttest questions which were validated by expert assessors, namely subject expert lecturers and subject teachers. before the first treatment is given a pretest (initial test) and at the end of learning is given a posttest (final test). Before being given treatment, they are first given pretest questions (initial test) and at the end of learning are given posttest questions (final test). The results showed that the application of the Project-Based Learning learning model in the class XI TITL electric motor installation subject at SMK Negeri 1 Bonjol can improve student learning outcomes. These results can be seen from the realm of knowledge, namely the results of the pretest and posttest which were analyzed using the N-Gain Score formula into the moderate category and using completeness learning outcomes increase from very low to high categories. Thus the project-based learning model improves student learning outcomes in the electric motor installation subject.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of self-efficacy and educational field practice on interest in becoming a teacher for students of the 2018 and 2019 Electrical Engineering Education study program at Padang State University. The research method uses associative quantitative, this method expresses the effect between the independent variable and the dependent variable. All information analyzes based on multiple linear regression analytics. The population is active students from the Department of electrical engineering 2018 and. A total sample of 55 students has carried out PLK. Data collection using a questionnaire. With scoring using a Likert scale. The result of this research indicates that (1) Self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on interest to become a teacher based on value tcount > ttable at the significance level of less than 5% (2) Educational Field Practice has a positive and significant effect on interest to become a teacher based on value tcount > ttable at the significance level of less than 5% (3) there is a mutually significant effect of self-efficacy and educational field practice on interest to become a teacher based on value Fcount > Ftable at the significance level of less than 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the subject of Electric Motor Installation class XI TITL at SMK Negeri 1 Rao Selatan. It is difficult for students to obtain learning outcomes according to predetermined standards because the teacher dominates learning activities so that students do not actively participate during the learning process. This research is using experimental method. The research design is a Pre-Experimental Design with the form used by One Group Pretest Posttest. The subjects in the study were students of class XI TITL at SMK Negeri 1 Rao Selatan for the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 26 people. The research instruments used were pretest and posttest questions, attitude assessment, and skills assessment. The data obtained from the pretest and posttest results were analyzed using the analysis of the learning completeness of the students so that the number of students whose scores were above the KKM in the posttest was obtained more than in the pretest. Data on the attitudes and skills of students were analyzed using attitude competency assessment and skills competency assessment so that student scores were already at the predicate A (very good) and B (good). Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in increasing student learning outcomes in the subject of Electric Motor Installation class XI TITL at SMK Negeri 1 Rao Selatan.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the activeness of students in the basic subjects of electronic electricity in class XI of SMKS Muhammadiyah 1 Padang by using the PjBL learning method. This study uses quantitative descriptive research methods by means of survey method research. The subject of this study was a grade XI TITL student at SMKS Muhammadiyah 1 Padangi in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year consisting of 9 students. The data collection method uses learning tool validity questionnaires validated by media experts and material experts and practicality questionnaires filled out by students and teachers. The results of the study obtained the validity of media and materials with valid categorization, where the media learning tools with the application of the PjBL method are feasible to use. The results of teacher practicality research using PjBL are categorized as good. The results of student practicality research using PjBL are also good. Thus, the application of the PjBL learning method in basic electronic electricity subjects can increase student activeness and is feasible to be applied in class XI of SMKS Muhammadiyah 1 Padang.

Abstract

This research aims to see the impact of applying the Problem-Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in the basic subjects of electricity and electronics in class X TTL2 SMK N 2 Sungai Penuh, a total of 30 people. The achievement of student learning outcomes is still disappointing with many students who have not reached the KKM. the low learning outcomes of students caused by the learning process which is centered on educators and the lack of activeness of students. This makes some students be passive, and noisy, play on mobile phones, talk to their friends, and not listen clearly to the material presented. This study used quantitative research using the pre-experimental method with the one-group pretest-posttest design type. The results of the pretest-posttest data obtained were analyzed using an effect size with a value of 0.88 in the large category. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the learning outcomes of students experienced an increase after the application of the problem-based learning model.
