Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of active role of students in the learning process due to the limited learning media used in learning. Lecturers are more likely to use printed learning resources that are not able to present the material required for simulation so that it is difficult for students to understand and is not interactive yet. Therefore, it is necessary to develop interactive learning media using Adobe Flash CS6 software which is designed to help students in more active learning. This study aims to produce interactive learning media using adobe flash CS6 software that is valid and practical. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model which is divided into the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The subjects of this study were students of semester 3 class 2TEIA Diploma-4 Electrical Engineering, Padang State University, 2020/2021 academic year. Based on the research results, testing the validity of interactive learning media obtained an average value of 0.81% with the valid category. The results of the practicality test for lecturers were obtained by 92.6% in the very practical category and the results of the practicality test by students were obtained by 83.4% with the practical category. It can be concluded that the resulting interactive learning media using Adobe Flash CS6 software is valid and practical for use in the teaching and learning process in Digital Engineering subjects.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several things, namely the limitations of supporting books for student books, students still have difficulty mastering the learning material well in the subject matter of calculating electrical power and energy in the calculation concept and limitations of the LKPD which consists of a collection of questions only, the learning materials provided also very short and packaged in just one meeting. This study aims to develop LKPD in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects in basic competencies 3.2 and 3.6 in class X TPTU which are valid and practical at SMKN 1 West Sumatra. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE model. This model consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected using the LKPD validation and practicality instrument sheet, the LKPD validity questionnaire, and the LKPD practicality questionnaire. The subjects of this study were LKPD Basic Electricity and Electronics and the respondents in this study were students of class X TPTU B and teachers of DLE subjects at SMKN 1 West Sumatra. The results of this study obtained data on the average validity of LKPD from three validators in the valid category. The results of the practicality test by the teacher were stated in the very practical category and the practicality by students was stated in the very practical category. Thus LKPD Basic Electricity and Electronics are declared valid and practically used in learning the basic theory of electricity and electronics class X TPTU at SMK N 1 West Sumatra.

Abstract

Abstract—The potential for solar energy sources is so large that it has not been optimally utilized, as a renewable energy source. The use of solar energy as a generator of electricity is very potential to be developed in West Sumatra Province. We know that the price of electricity obtained from this non-renewable energy is much more expensive in the short term, but it is much more valuable when calculated in the long term, especially from the aspect of environmental protection. The continuity of electrical services can always be fulfilled. It is necessary to combine PLN electricity sources and electricity sourced from solar energy as an alternative so that the reliability of the supply of electrical energy can be maintained. However, the large potential of renewable energy sources has not been able to be utilized optimally by the wider community, due to the limited competence of human resources who are able to utilize this energy. Through community service activities, Padang State University in collaboration with the Budi Utama Youth Assisted Child Orphanage in Lubuk Alung tries to make a contribution to improving Human Resource Competence through empowerment and community training with an integrated and sustainable process. One of the competency improvement activities carried out is training on the skills of installing electricity from PLN sources and solar energy installations. This training activity aims to provide understanding in the planning, design, operation, and maintenance of PLN sources and solar panel installations. The end result of this training is being able to provide education, increase skills, and competencies to participants to improve technical skills.

Abstract

Electrical Lighting Installation is a training course that is studied by class XI students in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering skill competency of SMK. In the learning process students find it difficult to learn the material provided by the teacher. In connection with the current situation, namely the Corona or Covid-19 Pandemic. The government makes social distancing policies. To that end, several schools stopped the face-to-face learning process. As a substitute for students having to take part in distance learning or online, it is important to have online or distance learning media that students use independently and maintain their enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to produce a product in the form of an e-module using the Sigil software in a valid and practical IPL training course. The research subjects were IPL E-Module class XI TITL in SMK. The research method used is Research and Development with reference to the Borg and Gall model. Based on the research results, the validity of the e-module of the Electrical Lighting Installation from three validators consisting of 1 media expert lecturer, 1 material expert and 1 IPL training subject teacher obtained an average achievement level of 93% with the very valid category. Practicality Test with respondents consisting of two IPL training subject teachers obtained an average achievement level of 90% with the category very practical. From the research data described, it can be concluded that the e-module learning in the IPL training course is valid and practical.

Abstract

The learning process in class X TITL SMK Negeri 1 Kerinci is still centered on the teacher, the lack of active students during the learning process, students play gadgets during the learning process and do not pay attention to the material that the teacher delivers. The learning process is still teacher-centered, in terms of delivering material, the teacher is still very dependent on blackboard media so that students find it difficult to understand the material delivered by the teacher which affects student learning outcomes. Therefore, researchers developed Augmented Reality learning media to help increase students' interest in learning. The research aims to develop valid and practical Augmented Reality learning media. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Dissaminate). The instrument used was a validity questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire with class X TITL students and subject teachers as respondents. The average result of the validity value in filling out the validity questionnaire by the validator is categorized as valid. And in filling out the practicality questionnaire, the practicality value is obtained in the very practical category. Based on the results of the development research carried out, it produces Augmented Reality learning media that is valid and very practical in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects.

Abstract

Learning devices are all the tools and materials used by the teacher to carry out the learning process. Every teacher in an education unit is obliged to compile a complete and systematic learning tool so that learning is interactive, inspirational, fun, challenging, motivates students to actively support, and provides sufficient space for initiative, creativity, independence, according to their talents, interests, and develop physical and psychological students. This research on the development of learning tools in the form of lesson plans for basic electricity and electronics is aimed at producing valid and practical learning tools. This study uses a research development method (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subject of this research is a learning tool in the form of RPP with research respondents by the teacher. From the results of the validity test of learning tools in the form of lesson plans obtained from teacher respondents in the valid category and the practicality test from the teacher obtained in the practical category. The results of this study indicate that the learning tools in the form of lesson plans made for Basic Electricity and Electronics subjects are suitable for use as learning tools.

Abstract

Basic Electricity and Electronics are subjects studied by class X students of Electrical Power Installation Engineering competency expertise at SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. Modules are learning materials that are systematically designed based on a certain curriculum and are packaged in the form of learning units and allow them to be studied independently in a certain time unit. Course review horay (CRH) learning is a learning model that attracts motivation using the use of numbers and yells. This study aims to obtain valid and practical CRH-based learning modules in Basic Electricity and Electronics (DLE) subjects. The research method used is R&D (Research & Development) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The subject of this research is a CRH-based learning module, with research respondents being teachers in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects and class X TITL students. The questionnaire used in the study was in the form of a Likert scale with a score of 1 to 5. The results of the CRH-based module development research on the distribution of the mediation validation questionnaires obtained the average percentage results on valid criteria, the material validation questionnaire distribution obtained the average percentage results on valid criteria. In distributing the practicality questionnaire the teacher got the average percentage result on the very practical criteria and the student practicality questionnaire got the average percentage result on the practical criteria. The results of this study indicate that the development of CRH-based learning modules made for Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects has been judged valid and practical.

The research method uses the type of research R & D (Research & Development) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). Data were collected using the LKPD validation and practicality instrument sheet, the LKPD validity questionnaire and the LKPD practicality questionnaire. The subjects of this study were problem-based microcontroller and microprocessor programming LKPD, with research respondents as class XI TAV 2 students and PMM subject teachers at SMKN 1 Koto XI Tarusan. The questionnaire used in the study was in the form of a Likert scale with a score of 1 to 5. The results of the research on the development of problem-based Student Worksheets on the distribution of the mediation validation questionnaire obtained the average percentage results on valid criteria, the material validation questionnaire distribution obtained the average percentage result On the valid criteria, the teacher practicality questionnaire got the average percentage result on the very practical criteria and the students' practicality questionnaire got the average percentage results on the practical criteria. The results of this study indicate that the development of problem-based Student Worksheets made for Microprocessor and Microcontroller Programming subjects has been criticized as valid and practical.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of online-based learning modules in microcontroller courses. self-instructional learning modules that direct students to learn independently. Due to conditions and situations that do not allow for face-to-face learning due to the covid-19 pandemic that forces learning to be done online. Therefore, online-based modules are one of the effective means used to delve into the material and evaluate themselves independently, so as to optimize learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to develop valid and practical learning modules. Based on the results of the study obtained the validity of learning modules from two validators consisting of two expert lecturers obtained an average achievement rate of 79.3% with valid categories. The practicality test with respondents consisting of one electrical engineering lecturer obtained an achievement level of 80% with practical categories and respondents consisting of 15 students of D3 Electrical Engineering obtained an average achievement rate of 78.2% with practical categories. From the research data described, it can be concluded that online-based learning modules in Microcontroller courses are valid and practical.

Abstract

Education is a systematic process to increase the dignity of human development in a holistic manner, which enables the full potential of individuals so that the aspirations of developing Indonesian people as a whole can be achieved. Completeness of equipment or facilities is the level of achievement in the form of the number of facilities that are directly used for practical learning by Electrical Installation and Power Engineering students with the standard number that should be owned by the school or department. This research is a descriptive study which aims to analyze the completeness of workshop practice equipment using quantitative descriptive method. The research was conducted with data starting from several methods (observation, portfolio, questionnaire, and documentation) which were then adjusted to the research instruments that had been prepared. The results of the research conducted show that the completeness of practical equipment at Muhammadiyah 1 Padang Vocational School with student learning outcomes in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects is proven by 25 students categorized as complete, and proposing 10 approximate aspects, then the appropriate answer is found, the number of students who complete more number of students who did not complete.
