Abstract

This research aims to analyze defense spending trends and their impact on the self-sufficiency of the defense industry in Indonesia. The article adopts a qualitative approach based on document analysis or desk research. The results of the analysis indicate that Indonesia's defense spending trends, influenced by positive economic growth, security threats, and the government's commitment to defense industry self-sufficiency, have fluctuated in the period 2019-2024. Despite decreases in 2023 and 2024, defense budgets remain significant, reflecting the government's commitment to national defense. However, defense spending trends have not significantly impacted the self-sufficiency of the defense industry. Criticisms involve insufficient technology transfer, limited orders, and dependence on imported defense equipment. Achieving self-sufficiency requires political will and policy changes for long-term development. Full government support, both in budgetary allocations and policies, is crucial to attaining the desired self-sufficiency and addressing global dynamics.

While financial performance is measured using the ratio of ROA (Return on Assets) and ROE (Return on Equity). The sampling technique in this study uses the purposive sampling method with the type of data used is secondary data. The total research sample is 11 Islamic commercial banks registered on the Financial Services Authority (OJK) website with an observation year of 2018-2022. The data analysis technique used in this study uses PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling) and multiple regression with the help of SmartPLS application version 4. The results of this study show that corporate governance partially has a positive and significant effect on financial performance and risk management partially has a negative and significant effect on financial performance. While simultaneously corporate governance and risk management have a significant effect on financial performance.

Abstract

The rapid growth of stock investment applications is encouraging people to enter the world of investment. Supported by the ease of using applications that are much simpler compared to offline methods in the past. The widespread use of investment applications has led to cases of speculative stocks, resulting in tens of trillions in losses. Researchers are interested in finding a solution to this phenomenon by examining the determining factors of stock prices through testing the influence of the reputation of public accounting firms, disclosure of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), disclosure of Internal Control (IC), and financial performance on stock prices in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2021. The research methods used include t-test, f-test, coefficient of determination test, and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research results, the reputation of public accounting firms, disclosure of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and financial performance partially influence the stock prices of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2021. Meanwhile, the disclosure of Internal Control (IC) does not have a partial effect on the stock prices of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2021. However, all four variables have a simultaneous effect on the stock prices of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2021.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how much influence Brand Image has on the Purchase Decision of Gacoan Noodles among Bandung City Students. To collect data for this research, a questionnaire instrument was used along with quantitative methodology. In this research, 100 respondents were selected randomly using Random Sampling Technique. T test, coefficient of determination (R2), and simple linear regression test were used in this research. Research findings show that brand image has an influence. This influence is shown by the regression equation Y= 18.663 + 0.409 X and a coefficient of determination test of 0.357. This means that brand image (X) and purchasing decisions (Y) are 35.7% with the remaining 64.3% caused by other factors. So based on the existing results, it is said that brand image influences purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The economic growth of a region is reflected in GDP and GRDP. It is important to achieve economic growth and economic equality so that prosperity increases evenly. Economic inequality can cause social problems and risk regional disintegration. Even though high economic growth can occur, it does not always mean that people's welfare increases automatically, especially for the poor. Differences in development and infrastructure between regions also affect people's income. This research aims to examine the economic situation, regional inequality and poverty levels in Kalimantan Province. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide useful information for local governments in future policy making. This research is descriptive in nature and uses a qualitative approach to understand social phenomena through secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and related regional institutions. Economic growth in Kalimantan province experienced fluctuations during the 2014-2023 period. Although there are annual variations, in general there is an upward trend after 2020. The Williamson Index in Kalimantan province experienced small variations from year to year during the 2014-2023 period. The poverty level in Kalimantan province tends to vary from year to year during the 2014-2023 period.

Abstract

The structuring and scaling of wages (SSU) is an effort to improve the well-being of both employers and employees, thereby achieving sustainable business continuity. Employers in various sectors, including the culinary industry, need to review wage structures and scales. For example, the XYZ SME located in Karawang Regency, West Java, which employs 60 workers, needs to review its wage structure and scale as part of a compensation system tailored to Pay for Position, Pay for Person, and Pay for Performance (commonly known as the 3Ps), while also aligning with the Karawang Regency Minimum Wage and the Provincial Minimum Wage. The research aims to analyze evaluation factors, job grouping, and ideal salary mapping at XYZ SME. This is conducted by evaluating its wage structure and scale using the point system method approach. Job grading and value are utilized for structuring based on the point system method, followed by wage adjustments using the adhered and overlapping methods. The result obtained from the research provide recommendations for the SME and valuable insights for readers to understand the steps in improving the compensation system, considering XYZ SME currently does not implement an appropriate wage mapping or SSU. Based on the research conducted to evaluate the compensation system at XYZ SME, there is a need to restructure its wage structure and scale, which can be applied in restaurants, particularly in grouping employees into five grades and adjusting wages using the overlapping approach.
