Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe students ability in writing realist short story at students class IX A SMP Negeri 9 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2016/2017. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. The data of this research is primary and secondary data. The primary data is taken directly, from students exercise in writing realist short story while secondary data is taken from some sources in Batanghari University library and province library. The data is collected by using observation, interview, exercise, and documentation. From the analysis, it shows that there are 5 students fall into very good criteria (interval up to 80), there are 21 students fall into good criteria (interval 70-79), there are 11 students fall into fair criteria (interval 60-69),and there is 1 student falls into below average (interval up to 59). So, it can be concluded that students ability in wiritng realist short story fall into good criteria with interval 70.Kata Kunci:pop song, realist short story, students

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of using snowball throwing learning model towards students’ short story writing ability at class XI IPA SMA Negeri 9 Kota Jambi Academic year 2018/2019. The method of this research is quasi-experiment with quantitative approach which is used to measure the short story writing ability objectively. From the result of the research, it can be presented that the mean score of students’ post-test of experiment class is 83 and control class is 75.8. The normality test which is taken from expermient class score is 0,095 > 0,05 and control class score is 0,057 > 0,05. Meanwhile the homogeneity test is significant in which F 0,439 > from significance level (α = 0,05). The result of hypothesis testing is the value of tcount 4,045> ttable 2,000 so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference of students’ learning by using snowball throwing and conventional media. The students who used snowball got higher score compared with the students who used conventional media.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the imagery in the poetry collection Ayat-ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono. This research is qualitative descriptive. The main data is taken from the written excerpt which consists of imagery in the poetry collection Ayat-ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The data is collected by using library technique which focused on imagery analysis in the poetry collection Ayat-ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The data is analyzed by using analysis and descriptive technique. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that there are sight imagery, hearing imagery, movement imagery in 15 poetry collection Ayat-ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono. So it can be said that there are, 1) sight imagery consists of 10 expressions. 2) Hearing imagery consists of 10 expressions. 3) Movement imagery consists of 11 expressions. Thus, all of the expressions from that three imagery are 31 expressions from 15 poetry collection in Ayat-ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono. Keywords: Analysis, Imagery, Poetry Collection

Abstract

Indonesian language learning is still applied with teacher centered learning in which the students face difficulty in asking questions. The students tend to be lazy to do their homework if they do not understand their materials. The lack of motivation and activities cause minimum of their assessment. This research is aimed at identifying the influence of story telling technique in increasing students learning outcome in Indonesian language course in nursery study program STIKes Syedza Saintika Padang. Based on the problem, the story telling technique is expected to increase students activities and their learning outcome. This research is classroom actions research and the subject of the research is 25 people of the first semester students of nursery study program STIKes Syedza Saintika Padang. The data is collected by using observation shheets and result tests. The technique of analyzing the data is descriptive and supported by the analysis of students learning outcome. This research is divided into 2 cycles and each of the cycles consist of 3 meetings. The result shows that cycle I mean is 65,55 and cycle II is 88,96. This shows that there is an increase of students acitivities. Moreover, it can be concluded that Indonesian language can be taught by using story telling technique in order to increase their activities and learning outcomes.Key Words: improving, speaking ability, story telling technique

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the moral value in the novel KKN di Desa Penari by Simpleman. The results of the research contained a hundred and forty-two expressions. Human relationship with Allah SWT was found as many as forty-one expressions  consisting of one expressions of faith in God, four expressions of worshipping Him, ten expressions of patiently accepting His trials, and sixteen expressions of idolatry to God. The human relationship with one another was found to be forty expressions consisting of eight expressions of patient, eight expressions of  gratitude, and twenty-three expressions of being grumpy. Human-to-human relationships were found to be sixty-one expressions consisting of eight expressions of fairness, thirty-nine expressions of being helpful, one expression of  forgiving, seven expressions of pledge-keeping, four expressions of broken, and two expressions of ignoring others.

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing personification in the collection of song rhymes by Ebiet G. Ade. This research is descriptive qualitative. Descriptively, this research describes the features of personification in the collection of song rhymes by Ebiet G. Ade. The data is written form in the form of sentence which has personification in the collection of song rhymes by Ebiet G. Ade. Based on the result, it can be concluded that there are 47 quotes in the personification in the collection of song rhymes by Ebiet G. Ade. By identifying the meaning of the rhymes in Ebiet G. Ade songs, readers or listeners can understand messages that are delivered by the composer. The meaning of personification in the collection of song rhymes represent humans life, nature life, religious life, society life, politics and affection life. Key Words: personification, meaning, rhyme

Abstract

Buku teks di dalam pendidikan merupakan salah satu komponen terpenting yang harus dipahami oleh baik siswa maupun guru karena buku teks merupakan salah satu komponen penting didalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, harus adanya pemahaman siswa di dalam membaca buku teks. Konjungsi merupakan salah satu komponen penting di dalam teks, jika terjadi kesalahan dalam penggunaan konjungsi maka akan memperngaruhi tingkat keberhasilan pembaca dalam memahami suatu bacaan. Sehingga kedua hal ini berkaitan di dalam keseharian belajar dan mengajar, karena berkaitan langsung dunia pendidikan.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) Bentuk konjungsi pada buku teks Catatan Peristiwa Sejarah Indonesia SMA/MA kelas X karangan Matroji, terbitan Bumi Aksara tahun 2014 dan (2) Fungsi konjungsi pada buku teks Catatan Peristiwa Sejarah Indonesia SMA/MA kelas X karangan Matroji, terbitan Bumi Aksara tahun 2014. Penulisan artikel ini berdasarkan kepada kajian kepustakaan yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi. Hasil temuan ini artikel ini meninjukkan bahwa (1) Bentuk konjungsi pada buku teks Catatan Peristiwa Sejarah Indonesia SMA/MA kelas X karangan Matroji, terbitan Bumi Aksara tahun 2014.Kata Kunci: Konjungsi, penggunaan, buku teks

Abstract

The research is aimed at describing the moral value aspects of human-to-human relationships in Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Daerah Jambi by Thabran Kahar. The moral value consists of aspects (1) caring for others, (2) helping, (3) deliberation, (4) living together, (5) forgiving, (6) keep on promise, (7) appreciating others. This research includes descriptive qualitative types. Qualitative descriptive describes an event with words or images of objects with actual circumstances. The data sources in this research are words, sentences, quotations or expressions that can be found in the dialogue of the characters in Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Daerah Jambi by Thabran Kahar. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that aspects of the moral value of human relationships with other human beings are contained in the Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Daerah Jambi by Thabra Kahar. The data showed that there are 60 expressions that are divided into seven aspects of moral values including: caring for each other as many as 14 quotations, please help as many as 12 quotations, deliberation as many as 9 quotations, living together as many as 8 quotations, forgiving as many as 6 quotes, keep on promise as many as 4 quotations, and respect others as many as 7 quotations.

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing the protagonist character in the film Kartini by  Hanung Bramantyo. This research is descriptive. The result of the research shows that: (1) the aspect of generosity found in the novel Kartini which means that she likes to give a help to other people. (2) the aspect of honesty found in the character Kartini who likes to be honest to other people. (3) the aspect of sincerity which means that she likes to be sincere towards people who give her compliments as if she is not a person with reputation while she is. (4) the aspect of smart in which she always knows how to make a decision to solve problems. (5) the aspect of independence in which she always tries to send scholarship proposal to continue her study in Netherlands without bothering others. (6) the aspect of loyalty to friends in which she (7) the aspect of defence in which she always defends and fights for woman’s and she is brave to say the truth whenever she faces problems. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be found that the most dominant aspect is sincerity and defend. Meanwhile the less dominant aspect is generosity and independence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of satirical language style in the film Comic 8 Casino King Part 2 by Anggy Umbara, which consists of three forms, namely irony, cynicism, and sarcasm. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a structural approach. The primary data in this study are dialogues relating to satirical language style (irony, cynicism, sarcasm) contained in Comic 8 Movie Casino King Part 2 by Anggy Umbara. Secondary data in this study is a transcript of conversations from Comic 8 Casino King Part 2 by Anggy Umbara. Data were analyzed using the concepts of Tarigan, Keraf, and Purwandi. Based on the results of the analysis research it can be concluded that there are (1) the form of irony satire language style which is a subtle allusion, found in some data including the items, hair smells only, and longish Eh contained in seventeen quotes. (2) Cynicism satirical form of style which is a satire containing ridicule of sincerity and sincerity is found in some data including cowards, sissy, and killer forces contained in five quotations. (3) The form of sarcasm satire language style which is the most crude allusions found in some data including crazy, stupid, and use a little brain contained in eight quotations.
