Abstract

While we are rushing towards the future quickly and without stopping, there is a debate in the scientific community and business forums today about the upcoming industrial revolution and what it is related to, is it the revolution of artificial intelligence, or the revolution of nanotechnology, or the revolution of sustainability, or is it the revolution of the Internet of things, cloud computing and 3D printing? We believe that the Fifth Industrial Revolution will be the result of all these technologies. And through our research paper, we will address the concept of the industrial revolution in general and the major industrial revolutions in human history and their historical context. Then we will look at the Fourth Industrial Revolution, whose events we are living today, its most important technologies, and its future development. Then we will look at the future features of the upcoming Fifth Industrial Revolution and the controversy surrounding it from the point of view of several experts and the most important opportunities and challenges that are likely to emerge

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the pairing relationship between economic growth and psychological human behavior (psychological well-being) of the individuals by application of the homo-hetero pairing effect correlation coefficient technique. The cross-sectional data were used. The data were collected from 211 individuals randomly sampled from two regions in Tanzania. The data were analysed by homo-hetero pairing effect correlation coefficient and the results were compared to that of the Pearson correlation coefficient and simple regression model. The study found that economic growth and psychological well-being are positively changing in pairs, and the psychological well-being of the individual is the true enabler (optimal independent) of the linear modelling. The study concluded that the improvement of the psychological well-being of individuals significantly improves economic growth and not vice versa. Therefore, the paper recommended that psychological well-being-based initiatives should be established and encouraged in society as found to have a positive impact on economic growth. Moreover, the study specifically, recommends the application of the homo-hetero pairing correlation coefficient in studies of cardiology, neurology, epidemiology, psychology, economics, anthropology, sociology and other fields of the social sciences.

This study aims to explain how the form of efforts to optimize the sales system in a company so that it becomes an automated system as an effort to minimize the risk of fraud and forms of internal control efforts. The research method used is an agile method (to develop a web-based information system) and descriptive qualitative (to identify how to implement a strategy to minimize fraud and as an effort to carry out internal control). The results of this study provide information that the implementation of an integrated web-based system which in this study is referred to as ISSS, can assist companies in improving internal control through the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes which are also visualized in the BPMN notation. This study also explains that implementing a web-based information system presented in the ISSS makes it easier for companies to minimize fraud to reduce material losses.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the factors influencing the demand for bike sharing to identify the variables that significantly predict the need for shared bicycles. The study aims to create more in-depth knowledge about bike-sharing models to enhance the ideas on designing, developing, implementing and utilization of bike-sharing models. A multiple regression model was used to model the demand for 703 Capital Bikeshare’s shared bikes in the USA. The variations in the need for the bikes were assessed based on certain variables, such as the total number of registered and unregistered bikers and renters. Linear regression analyses were conducted to determine the factors that statistically and significantly predict the number of bikes rented. Machine learning classifiers: Random Forest, Decision Trees, Nearest Neighbor and XGBoost were used to determine the most important predictors of bike demand and the data analyzed in SPSS V25, R and PYTHON. Increase in demand for shared bikes was attributed to factors such as increase in temperature (p =0.000), days of the week except the first day of the week (p < 0.05), the month of September (p = 0.036), spring season ((p = 0.000), fall seasons (p = 0.001) and humidity (p = 0.000). A significant decrease in the demand for shared bikes was observed on the first day of the week (p = 0.218) and days with strong winds (p = 0. 113). More people are likely to rent shared bikes on hot days, in September, during spring and fall seasons, on humid days, and all days of the week except on the first day of the week.
