Abstract

Renewable electricity from the sea is one of the efforts in the search for energy amid the Fossil fuel crisis. In this journal, we design a prototype PLTAL with the initial stage is determining the test parameters on the prototype so that it can be processed and analyzed data, then carried out Assembling PLTAL prototype design, and finally the prototype testing. Based on the results of the PLTAL prototype test with water volume parameters, the power value P = 0.707 Watt, with a water discharge rate of 0.101 x 10-3 m3 / and the diameter of the turbine diameter d = 0.08 m and with a turbine efficiency of 0.15554 Watt. So from this experiment it can be seen that the volume of water affects the size of the power generated by our prototype.

Abstract

The water energy potential found in the Sengguruh and Wonorejo reservoirs serves as a source for Hydroelectric Power Plants (PLTA) located in the Brantas River Basin (DAS Brantas). The river flow has significant potential to be used as a source of electricity generation. The Brantas River possesses considerable potential for the development of Micro-Hydro Power Plants. The Weir and Flume method, which relates to threshold levels, average power, and water discharge, is used. Discharge is calculated based on the water level above the weir or within a narrow channel. At the Sengguruh PLTA, the inflow water discharge produced is 1.57 m³/s. Meanwhile, at the Wonorejo PLTA, the river inflow discharge calculated using the F.J. Mock method ranges from 0.94 m³/s to 16.99 m³/s, with a dependable discharge of 1.833 m³/s. It is therefore concluded that the electrical energy potential between the two reservoirs is greater at the Sengguruh PLTA

Abstract

At this time, one type of alternative energy that is growing rapidly and is widely used by many countries is solar energy which is used as a power plant in the form of solar cells. This technology can convert the intensity of the sun into electrical energy. In its development, a control system is needed to optimize the output power of solar cells, such systems are using solar tracking which can control the position of solar cells so that they are always perpendicular to the direction of the sun automatically and a solar reflector that uses a flat mirror as optics to optimize light intensity. The system used for this arrangement is called a solar tracking and reflector system with Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) control. The results obtained from the tracking system after testing the most optimal power obtained when the solar cell is perpendicular to the sun with ANFIS control which is 12,743 watts and the solar cell with reflector can optimize power twice as much..

Abstract

The frequency domain is a method of analyzing signals based on their frequencies rather than time. A time-domain graph shows how a signal changes over time, while the frequency domain shows the frequency content and amplitude of each component. The Fourier Transform is used to convert a signal from the time domain to the frequency domain, while the inverse transform converts it back. The frequency spectrum displays the amplitude and phase of each frequency component of the signal. This analysis is important in fields such as physics, electronics, control systems, and statistics. Some techniques also combine the time and frequency domains to analyze signals that vary over time.

Abstract

The arowana is a freshwater ornamental fish with high market value, requiring proper and meticulous care. One crucial factor in its maintenance is maintaining the water temperature within an optimal range of 26°C to 30°C. Deviations from this temperature range can cause stress in arowana fish, adversely affecting their health and growth. Therefore, a system for automatic and real-time temperature monitoring and control based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology is necessary. This research developed a Smart Monitoring System for Arowana Aquarium Temperature based on IoT, utilizing an ESP32 microcontroller and a DS18B20 temperature sensor, integrated with the Blynk application on Android devices. The system operates with automatic logic: when the water temperature drops below 26°C, the heater turns on; when it exceeds 30°C, the cooling fan is activated. If the temperature is within the 26–30°C range, both devices remain off. All temperature data is displayed in real-time on the Blynk application. The implementation results demonstrate that the system effectively maintains stable water temperatures within the desired range, reduces stress on the arowana, enhances maintenance efficiency, and provides convenience for the fish owner by enabling remote monitoring of the aquarium's conditions. Abstract

Quail eggs are one type of food that is widely consumed by the Indonesian people. The design of an automatic quail egg peeler aims to help batagor traders who use quail eggs as one of the main ingredients. This tool is designed to increase the efficiency of the quail egg peeling process which has been done manually, is time-consuming, and requires a lot of energy, especially for elderly traders. This peeler is equipped with a counter technique that can automatically count the number of eggs that have been peeled, making it easier for traders to monitor daily production. The peeling mechanism involves breaking the shell and peeling the egg skin using a rotating roller. The sensor on this tool detects each egg that is successfully peeled and adds the number to the digital counter. The test results show that this tool can peel quail eggs with a high success rate and in a shorter time than the manual method. This automatic quail egg peeler is expected to be an efficient and practical solution for batagor traders, especially the elderly, to increase productivity and reduce workload.

Abstract

Flammable gas leaks such as Methane and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) pose serious risks of fire, explosion, and gas poisoning. This research develops a gas leak detection system based on the MQ-2 sensor, Wemos D1 microcontroller, and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The system quickly and accurately detects gas leaks, provides automatic responses by shutting off gas flow via a solenoid valve, and activates a water nozzle valve for fire suppression. Real-time notifications are sent through the WhatsApp API. Testing showed response times of <5 seconds for gas leaks and <1 second for fires. The system is effective, real-time, and applicable in various environments

Abstract

Fires at solar-powered electric vehicle charging stations have the potential to cause significant losses, both in terms of material and human casualties. This research aims to design and implement an early fire detection system based on a DS18B20 temperature sensor and an MQ-2 smoke sensor integrated with an Arduino Uno. Temperature and smoke concentration data are monitored in real time, and if values above a threshold are detected, the system issues an alert via a buzzer and visual indicator. Test results indicate that the combination of the two sensors provides better detection accuracy than using a single sensor. This system can be implemented to improve safety at solar-powered electric vehicle charging facilities.

Abstract

In the modern industrial era, regulation or control is required in operating 3-phase induction motors. Regulation or control of 3-phase induction motors is to assist production activities in the industry, so that production activities can run according to the company's functions or objectives. There are two ways to regulate the rotational speed of a 3-phase induction motor. The first way is by changing the number of poles on the induction motor. Then the second way is by utilizing the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) function. This method is quite effective and widely used in modern industries because the motor speed can be controlled according to the required needs by adjusting the frequency input to the 3-phase induction motor. This study aims to determine the effect of changes in frequency and also changes in loading on the efficiency of 3-phase induction motors. The results of the study will be used as guidelines or technical recommendations to regulate the ideal frequency of the 3-phase induction motor in the embossing machine of PT. Hisamitsu Pharma Indonesia, so that the machine can operate effectively and efficiently. The methods used in this study are direct experiments and data analysis.
