Abstract

Bukit Batu River in Bengkalis Regency plays a vital role as a water source for domestic use, irrigation, industry, and transportation. However, increasing domestic and industrial activities have significantly contributed to water pollution. This study aims to analyze the current water quality and socio-economic activities, assess water quality status and pollution load, and formulate pollution control strategies. The research employed field observations, laboratory testing of physical, chemical, and biological water parameters, and SWOT analysis. Results show that parameters such as COD and ammonia exceeded Class II quality standards, indicating a moderately polluted condition. The primary pollution sources include domestic waste, agriculture, and industry. Pollution control strategies were developed based on strengths and opportunities, such as community awareness and active involvement of local government. The study concludes that multi-sector collaboration, environmental education, and improved waste management are essential to reducing pollution loads and preserving the sustainability of the Bukit Batu River's functions.

Abstract

Palm oil is one of the plantation crops that produce vegetable oil, which is currently the main and priority agricultural commodity in Indonesia. The growth of palm oil seedlings is largely determined by good cultivation efforts such as the use of good planting media and the provision of nutrients. Adequacy of nutrients in the planting medium greatly affects the growth of the plant itself. This research aims to determine the interaction effect of giving TPA-Waste leachate and NPK fertilizer, to determine the single factor effect of TPA-Waste leachate and NPK fertilizer and to obtain the concentration of TPA-Waste leachate and the best NPK dosage for the growth of oil palm seedlings. This research was carried out experimentally in the form of a 4x4 factorial which was arranged according to a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the concentration of leachate (L) which consists of 4 levels, namely L0 = without leachate (positive control), L1 = Leachate 100 ml.1-1 air, L2 = Leachate 200 ml. 1-1 water, and L3 = Leachate 300 ml.1-1 water. The second factor was the dose of NPK Fertilizer (P) which consisted of 4 levels, namely P0 = without applying NPK fertilizer, P1 = 25 % recommended dose recommendation, P2 = 50% recommended dose recommendation, and P3 = 100% recommended dose recommendation. Parameters observed included the increase in seedling height, the number of leaves, the increase in tuber diameter, root volume, seedling dry weight and root canopy ratio. The results showed that the interaction of giving 300 ml of leachate. 1-1 and NPK fertilizer 25 g per plant significantly increased the number of leaves, the diameter of the weevil and the root volume of the oil palm seedlings.

Abstract

Land use change in agricultural areas is one of the main challenges in sustainable spatial planning, especially in peri-urban areas. This study aims to analyze the land use change of Sustainable Food Crop Land (LP2B) in Ciseeng District, Bogor Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach was used with primary data from interviews and field observations, supported by spatial and regulatory data. The results of the study indicate that approximately 15.57% of the LP2B area in Ciseeng District has experienced land use change for residential, commercial, and other non-agricultural purposes. The land use change is driven by weak regulatory enforcement, high demand for land due to its proximity to urban areas, and limited protection for farmers. The results of the study conclude that sustainable land management requires synergy between policy enforcement, public awareness, and spatial planning integration

Abstract

Klawoguk Watershed is one of the watersheds in the Sorong City area. The problem in the watershed is the absence of hydrological data or automatic water level recording (AWLR) data. The purpose of this study was to determine and compare the parameters of the Snyder synthetic unit hydrograph and the SCS synthetic unit hydrograph. The methods used in this study are the Snyder Synthetic Unit Hydrograph and the SCS Synthetic Unit Hydrograph. The results of the study showed that the parameters obtained from the analysis results of HSS Snyder were tp 3,267 hours, te 0,594 hours, Tp 3,767 hours, Qp 1,193 m3/sec, and the parameters obtained from the analysis results of HSS SCS were TL 3.992 hours, Tp 4.492 hours, Qp 1.389 m3/sec, so it can be seen that the peak discharge value of HSS Snyder is lower than the peak discharge of HSS SCS and the time required for the decrease in peak discharge of HSS Snyder is longer than that of HSS SCS.

Abstract

The implementation of regional autonomy since 25 years has had a significant impact on the development of districts / cities in Indonesia. The high urbanization trend in several provinces on the island of Sumatra such as Riau Province has implications for the growth and development of Pekanbaru City as a center of government, education, business, tourism, services and trade. The Sustainable City Development Strategy in Achieving SDGs in Pekanbaru City uses the Pentagon Prism theory from Nijkamp (1994) as a development paradigm and New Urban Agenda (NUA) to guide the Regional Government to achieve the Sustainable City vision of Pekanbaru Smart City Madani, namely (1) Socioware, (2) Orgware, (3) Finware, (4) Technoware (5) Ecoware which is combined with the Smart City concept which consists of 6 indicators, namely (1) Smart Governance, (2) Smart People, (3) Smart Economy, (4) Smart Transportation, (5) Smart Environment, (6) Smart Living. From the 11 indicators above, the Pekanbaru City Government has carried out various policies both in the form of regulations in the form of Mayor Regulations, as well as in the form of programs and activities that have been implemented since 2019. However, because the problems faced are very complex while resources are limited, these indicators have not been met optimally. As a strategy to accelerate the achievement of SDGs that must be achieved by 2030, the Pekanbaru City Government collaborates with relevant stakeholders (collaborative governance).
