Abstract

This research aims to describe how the agreement between Sabdopalon and Syekh Subakir is represented in the lives of the people of Tidar Valley, Magelang. The focus of this research is to reveal the content of the agreement, the process of spiritual negotiation that lasted for 40 days and 40 nights, and to analyze the moral messages, values and norms contained in the agreement. The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with the caretaker of Gunung Tidar and community leaders, as well as document and literature reviews. The study results show that this agreement symbolizes cultural acculturation between Islamic teachings and Javanese traditions. The agreement includes several key conditions: the spread of Islam must be conducted peacefully without coercion, Javanese traditions and customs must be respected, Islamic places of worship must reflect local culture, and Islamic teachings must be adapted to local wisdom. The Sa Monument at the summit of Gunung Tidar serves as a physical symbol of this agreement, with the meaning "Sapa Salah Seleh" which emphasizes the consequences of every action. This study concludes that the agreement between Sabdopalon and Syekh Subakir reflects the process of spreading Islam in Java which took place peacefully and adaptively. The main values contained in this agreement are tolerance, deliberation, and a balance between tradition and religion. This research contributes to folklore studies and enriches the understanding of the harmonious relationship between local beliefs and new teachings in Javanese society.

Abstract

The development of the digital era has brought significant changes in people's perspectives and communication patterns, including for women with single-parent status. In the past, particularly during the patriarchal era, cultural norms and values tended to place single-parent women in a more challenging position, often accompanied by negative stigma. According to data from DataIndonesia.id, the number of single-parent women in Indonesia in 2021 was higher than that of widowed men. Women who experienced separation, whether due to divorce or the death of a spouse, accounted for 12.83% of the population, whereas men in the same situation only made up 4.32%. The social transformation brought about by the digital era reflects that the increasing number of single-parent women goes hand in hand with greater opportunities for them to develop themselves, including in economic aspects. This study focuses on understanding the identity of single-parent women in the digital era through three key concepts: externalization, objectivation, and internalization. Using a qualitative method with a social construction approach, this research collects data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that single-parent women perceive their status as a learning experience in independence, allowing them to work and pursue careers without limitations. Additionally, they can leverage social media as a platform to enhance their quality of life and expand their social networks. Society has also begun to acknowledge that single-parent women are now more confident and comfortable with their status. With advancements in technology and information, being a single parent is no longer viewed as something to be feared or constantly stigmatized. Instead, the meaning of this status has evolved into something more positive and inclusive.

Abstract

Learning assessments are carried out to interpret various kinds of information about student learning processes and outcomes. It is important to carry out assessments to see the extent of the success of learning. This research aims to reveal 1) How learning is assessed in the Teacher's Guidebook and Student's Book for history subjects in the Merdeka Curriculum. 2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of learning assessment in the Teacher's Handbook and Student's Book for history subjects in the Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with document study. Data validity is carried out by data triangulation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis with three stages of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that the assessment used consisted of 2 forms, namely diagnostic assessment and formative assessment. Formative assessment consists of self-assessment and summative assessment. When analyzed, the assessment carried out uses operational keywords in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. The advantage of the assessment used is that it is varied and explores many students' abilities to support the development of students' creativity and independence. The disadvantage of assessment is that it requires quite a lot of time to complete all the assessments carried out, so the teacher's workload also increases. Key words: learning assessment, history books, independent curriculum

Abstract

This study examines the role and political dynamics of the People's Representative Council of Mutual Assistance (DPR-GR) during the transition of power from the Old Order to the New Order in Indonesia. The main focus is to analyze how DPR-GR, as a legislative body engineered by the Old Order regime, underwent a transformation in function and position amidst the shifting power structure following the 30 September Movement (G30S/PKI). Using a historical-political approach and primary document analysis, this research reveals how DPR-GR was utilized as a tool to legitimize Soeharto’s rise to power and to erode President Soekarno’s authority. The findings show that DPR-GR was not merely a passive observer, but an active agent in the consolidation of military power and the establishment of the New Order regime. This study underscores that the political transition during this period was not solely militaristic, but also involved strategic manipulation of formal political institutions to legitimize the new regime. Abstract

This study explores the absence of Aceh’s conflict history in Indonesia’s national history curriculum and its implications for strengthening peace literacy in post-conflict education. Although values such as tolerance, diversity, and peace are emphasized in national curriculum goals, this study finds that these values are taught in isolation from local historical narratives—particularly the conflict between the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the Indonesian government. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and a case study method, data were collected through curriculum document analysis, history textbooks, interviews with teachers, and classroom observations in several secondary schools in Aceh. The findings reveal that history teachers face both pedagogical and institutional gaps when attempting to introduce local conflict into the classroom. The lack of teaching guidelines, learning materials, and structural support leads to generic teaching practices that avoid sensitive topics, including Aceh's conflict. As a result, students are denied access to contextual, reflective, and experience-based understandings of peace and history. This study underscores the urgency of integrating local history and peace literacy as part of reconciliatory education and calls for curriculum reform to reposition history education as a transformative, rather than merely normative, pedagogical space.
