Abstract

The current manual process of planting and harvesting carrots in greenhouses is considered inefficient. Therefore, automation using electropneumatic technology presents a promising solution to enhance efficiency and agricultural yield. This research aims to design an electropneumatic installation for an automatic carrot planting and harvesting tool. The method used is design and simulation control based on a displacement diagram to determine the sequence of actuator motion. From this diagram, logical equations were formulated using Boolean algebra to form the basis of the control circuit. The entire circuit was then designed and tested through simulation using Fluidsim software. The design results show that the system requires 3 cylinders groups, three 5/2-way valves, 2 proximity sensors, and 2 gripper groups operating in six sequential stages. The simulation in Fluidsim successfully proved that the designed electropneumatic circuit can function according to the predetermined logic and working sequence. Thus, this design contributes a simulation-validated automated system design with the potential to be implemented to replace the manual harvesting and transplanting of carrots

Abstract

Pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk dan kegiatan industri yang pesat saat ini mengakibatkan kebutuhan dan pemakaian listrikyang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan suatu identifikasi penggunaan beban listrik di PT. Bosowa Berlian Motor Cabang Kima. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisis kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menghitung dan mempresentasekan beban listrik yang digunakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Oktober - Desember 2023. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengukur energi listrik yang digunakan dengan alat ukur KWH meter, tang ampere dan multitester digital. Data yang telah diperoleh selanjutnya dilakukan analisis secara kuantitaif kemudian dipaparkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi Beban listrik secara keseluruhan yang terdapat di PT. Bosowa Berlian Motor Cabang KIMA diperoleh informasi sebesar 42.915,8 Watt atau 42, 9 kW. Penggunaan beban listrik yang paling besar di PT. Bosowa Berlian Motor Cabang KIMA berada pada Ruang Workshop dengan persentase sebesar 47% dari total keseluruhan. Penggunaan energi Listrik di PT. Bosowa Berlian Motor Cabang KIMA didominasi oleh beban mekanis sebesar 31.618 Watt atau 31, 6 kW.

Abstract

Penggunaan liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sebagai sumber energi pemanas alat press ban masih banyak dilakukan meskipun dipandang tidak efektif. Dalam praktiknya, suhu yang ditentukan berdasarkan perkiraan terkadang menyebabkan hasil press tidak sesuai. Penelitian ini mengembangkan alat press ban menggunakan elemen pemanas yang dilengkapi dengan selektor pengatur suhu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari perancangan, pembuatan body perangkat, perakitan listrik, perakitan alat secara menyeluruh dan uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, suhu ideal untuk press ban adalah  (toleransi suhu . Besar arus pada proses pemanasan bimetal adalah 1.53 – 1.58 Ampere dengan daya sebesar 350.2 – 375.3 Watt.

Abstract

Abstract— One strategy to improve the voltage profile is by placing optimal capacitors in the right locations in the distribution system. Installation of capacitors in distribution systems is carried out for several purposes such as: improving voltage regulation, improving power factor, reactive power compensation, increasing line capacity and reducing losses. The tolerance limit for permissible stress values is 0.95 to 1.05 per unit. In this research, power quality improvements will be carried out using capacitor banks at PT Semen Bosowa Maros. The repair process is simulated using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) method.  This method carries out several simulations, namely the power flow before and after installation of the capacitor bank, optimization of capacitor placement which is carried out three times with different bus candidates, to determine the location, number of capacitor capacities, and economic analysis. The selection of buses that experience voltage drops has been produced to improve the quality and voltage stability of the electrical system at PT Semen Bosowa Maros which provides a solution considering economic factors after installing the capacitor bank.

Abstract

The Effect of Electrical Power Transmission Network Parameters on Short Transmission Line. The transmission system is one of the components of the electrical power operation system where its reliability is crucial. An electrical transmission system has parameters that influence its reliability to function effectively as part of the power system. These parameters include resistance (R), inductance (L), and capacitance (C). This study involves simulations using distribution and transmission trainers to understand the effects of these parameters on the transmission channel. There are three types of electrical transmission channel models based on their lengths. This research focuses on simulating a short 3-phase transmission channel. In the simulation of the short transmission system, two types of simulations were conducted: one with variations in RL load and another with variations in RL load and C load compensation. The results of the first experiment showed that the larger the value of the load L, the higher the value of the receiver voltage (VR) and the higher the value of the receiver side power (PR). In the second experiment, it showed that the larger the value of the load C, the higher the source voltage (VS) and the receiver voltage (VR). Meanwhile, the value of the source current (IS), receiver current (IR), and receiver power (PR) decreased. Additionally, the values of the sending current and the receiving current tend to be the same because the equation stating that the sending current is equal to the receiving current applies. This is due to the variation in the values of the RLC load used. Through the simulation carried out, several data points were obtained that help to understand the relationship between voltage and current, such as load impedance (ZLoad), line impedance (ZLine), voltage regulation (VR), reactive power (Q), apparent power (S), transmitted power (PS), power loss (PLoss), and power transmission efficiency (Ŋ).

Abstract

Every year, solar panels experience a decline in production, so it is necessary to evaluate the degradation and performance of multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si) solar panels in tropical climate conditions. This research uses SEAWARD PV 200 (Complete Kit) to measure solar panel output data, which is then analyzed using the translation method according to IEC 60891 Procedure 1 to determine Standard Test Conditions (STC). The translational results showed a solar panel degradation rate of ±1.16% per year. Performance evaluation using the linear regression method revealed that a tropical climate that increases the temperature of the solar panel increases the percentage of degradation, where every 1°C increase in temperature causes an increase in degradation of approximately ±0.15%.

Abstract

Solar energy has become one of the renewable energy sources that can be converted into electrical energy. Solar cells are used to convert solar energy into electrical energy. Solar radiation is an important factor to consider in the use of solar cells or solar power generation systems. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a solar radiation measurement device. This research is a simulation of a solar cell as a solar radiation sensor using the ANFIS algorithm to calculate the solar radiation value based on the voltage and current from the solar cell. The simulation, conducted using Matlab with solar cell features, a 12-ohm resistor, ANFIS features, and a Fuzzy block, showed good results with an error rate of 0.038 percent. Future research development will involve testing on actual solar cell devices

Abstract

Motor listrik memiliki peranan penting dalam berbagai sektor karena mampu untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kinerja masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kinerja mesin pemotong tulang sapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan motor 1 fasa dengan kecepatan putaran motor sebesar 1400 rpm. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode continuous improvment melalui Plan, Do, Check, dan Act (PDCA). Mesin yang digunakan membutuhkan 0,985 kWh untuk memotong 3 ekor sapi dan 2 ekor kambing dengan biaya operasional sebesar Rp 15.000. Torsi maksimum pada mesin ini 2,53 Nm

Abstract

Kebakaran merupakan salah satu jenis bencana yang berdampak besar terhadap keselamatan manusia, harta benda, dan lingkungan sekitar, yang sering kali disebabkan oleh korsleting listrik, kebocoran gas, atau kelalaian manusia. Ketika tidak terdeteksi sejak dini, kebakaran dapat berkembang pesat dan sulit dikendalikan, khususnya saat rumah atau bangunan dalam keadaan kosong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem Smart Fire Alarm berbasis ESP32 yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) sebagai solusi deteksi dini terhadap bahaya kebakaran. Sistem ini menggunakan sensor api (Flame sensor), serta aplikasi Blynk untuk mengirim notifikasi secara real-time ke perangkat pengguna saat potensi kebakaran terdeteksi. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mengukur keakuratan sistem dalam mendeteksi api, kecepatan aktivasi alarm, dan efektivitas notifikasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat mendeteksi keberadaan api dan gas dengan respons cepat dan mengirim peringatan secara real-time selama perangkat terhubung ke internet. Namun, deteksi mulai melemah pada jarak lebih dari 7 cm, menunjukkan keterbatasan jarak dan pengaruh kondisi lingkungan terhadap kinerja sistem. Untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan stabilitas, disarankan menambahkan sensor suhu serta melakukan pengujian dalam ruangan tertutup. Alternatif media notifikasi selain Blynk juga perlu dipertimbangkan agar sistem tetap bekerja meski koneksi tidak stabil.

Abstract

The study intended to create a learning medium tools for sorting systems, elevators, gates based on PLC, and to control systems for sorting objects, freight elevators and gates. The research methods applied to this study are problem identification, toolmaking, design, and testing. Based on tests conducted by the system can detect objects by using proximity infrared sensor by a range of 3 centimetres – 8 centimeter and can be regulated according to need and proximity inductive sensors with a range of 0-4 mm. this media use Infrared sensor range 8 cm and 5 cm while the inductive sensor used by the range 4 mm. Infrared sensors are also used to detect altitude in objects to be sorted. These media control systems are controlled using PLC. Programs for this medium can be created with the language program leadder diagram. For PLC and PC communication using LAN cables. The learning media uses 5 electric motor, three 5 VDC electric motor those are a gate electric motor, a sorting electric motor, and a booster electric motor as well as two 12 VDC electric motor those are conveyor and a freight elevator, so that to connect the SLG learning media to the PLC an additional relay is needed.
