Abstract

This study aims to know the description of teacher and student activities in the Biology learning process by applying the Problem Based Learning model in class VIII B of MTs Negeri 1 Tuban on the structure and function of plant tissue and improving student learning outcomes in class VIII B MTs Negeri 1 Tuban. This research was a Classroom Action Research which was conducted in 2 cycles, the stages of each cycle consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 32, teacher and all students of class VIII B at MTs Negeri Tuban. The research instrument used was the observation sheet and the test sheet. The observation sheet is used to describe the learning activities carried out by the teacher and student learning activities during the learning process using the Problem Based Learning model while the test is used to measure student learning outcomes after the learning process by applying Problem Based Learning Model. The results of the analysis of teacher activity observation data before CAR = 25 (good), the first cycle obtained an average score = 28 (good), the second cycle increased to 30 (good). The results of the analysis of student activity observation data before CAR = 20 (Enough), the first cycle obtained an average score = 27.5 (good), the second cycle increased to 28.5 (good). The class average before CAR = 72 with 76% classical completeness (not complete), the first cycle the class average value is 78.125 with a percentage of 78.125% classical learning completeness (not complete) in the second cycle increased to a class average of 87, 8 with a percentage of classical learning completeness of 90.63% (complete). It was concluded that the Problem Based Learning model could increase teacher activity and student activity as well as student learning outcomes in class VIII B of MTs Negeri 1 Tuban.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Recently, technology is a part of every ones’ life. This case also influences the education. Right now, teachers also involve technology in their teaching. This research aimed at finding the answer of to what extend English teachers at Islamic senior high schools in Nganjukhave used Information and Communication Technology in their teaching, teachers’ perception, and the problems they faced. The data were collected from English teachers who joined MGMP; a kind of English teachers’ organization for English teachers professional development in Nganjuk. The method used in this research is qualitative. This research is a kind of survey design. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. The finding of this research revealed that majority of English teachers have used ICT in their teaching eventhough they did not use them optimally due to some problems, the data shows that 43% of the participants have used ICT, while 39% of them just sometimes use it, and 18% of them do not use it. The next finding is about teachers’ perception. This research showed that teachers have good perception about the use of ICT, 73% of the participants agreed that the use of ICT can make students more active in the classroom. The common problems they faced were the lack of facility and access, and lack of competence in using the technology. It is suggested that the school stakeholders evaluate the policy about the use of ICT in their schools. Then, English teachers’ organization trough MGMP should be optimized to upgrade teachers’ capability in using ICT for their teaching. Key words : technology, English , Islamic Senior High Schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of libraries in improving the quality of education at the State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The approach used in this research is qualitative with the case study method, which is to reveal and understand certain phenomena that occur in society in depth based on existing data. (Prihatsanti, 2018: 127-128). The results of the research analysis found that with sufficient resources owned, UINSA Libraries are able to play a role in at least four of the nine higher education accreditation criteria, namely facilities and infrastructure, education, research, and community service. The quality of these resources can be proven by the achievement of the A accreditation status achieved by the Sunan Ampel UIN Library since 2015.

Abstract

Health is the most important thing in human life. Lifestyles and diets that are not suitable for the increase in the prevalence of regenerative diseases such as diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by a lack of the hormone insulin produced by the pancreas to regulate the amount of sugar levels in the blood. People do not realize that banana peels (Musa acuminata) can be used to prevent diabetes. Banana peel (Musa acuminata) has abundant nutritional content, including carbohydrates, protein, potassium. Based on other research articles, banana peels also contain a number of active compounds to prevent diabetes, namely pectin (10-21%), lignin (6-12%), cellulose (7.6% -9.6%), and hemicellulose (6). , 4-9.4%). Therefore, researchers have innovated to process banana peel waste (Musa acuminata) into COKUPI (Banana Skin Cookies) as a health promotion in preventing diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of banana peel waste (Musa acuminata) as a prevention of diabetes mellitus. The benefit of this research is as a community guide in the utilization of banana peel waste (Musa acuminata). The material used in this study included banana peel cookies, alloxan, and mice. This study used an experimental method, namely by using the same 25 mice were given alloxan and measured blood sugar levels. After being measured, the white mice (Mus musculus) did fast for 18 hours. COKUPI was given with different treatments, namely negative control, positive control, doses of 100g, 200g, and 300g for 15 days. The results of this study were Kepok banana peels (Musa acuminata) which were processed into effective cookies as an alternative to prevent diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

The implementation of teaching and learning activities in madrasas since March 2020 has changed due tothe Covid-19 pandemic, the government has established the concept of BDR (Learning from Home) at alllevels of education. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of the role of the homeroomteacher in BdR activities on the activeness of class XI students in MAN 1 Jombang. The method used in thisresearch is quantitative research methods. Data collection techniques that researchers use are observation,interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. For data analysis using the Durbin-Watson autocorrelationtest, and the Simultaneous F test. The results showed that there was an influence on the role of homeroomteacher on the activeness of class XI students in MAN 1 Jombang, amounting to 69.2 %.

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk Penelitian Tindakan Madrasah dengan menerapkan pendekatan metode deskriptif kualiatatif. Adapun rumusan masalahnya adalah bagaimana penerapan reward dan punishment dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di kelas?. Sedangkan tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan reward dan punishment dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru dalam kehadiran mengajar di kelas. Berdasarkan peraturan kedisiplinan Pegawai Negeri Sipil yaitu Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 53 Tahun 2010 Tentang Kedisiplinan Pegawai Negeri Sipil sebagai payung hukum sangat penting sebagai upaya mengatur kedisilinan seorang Aparatur Sipil Negara untuk meningkatkan kerja dan kinerjanya. Peningkatan mutu pendidikan di madrasah sangat tergantung dari beberapa faktor. Faktor yang sangat penting antara lain adalah penerapan budaya madrasah ke arah peningkatan mutu. Budaya madrasah merupakan hal yang positif yang harus dipertahankan dan dilaksanakan oleh semua warga madrasah tanpa merasa terpaksa. Budaya madrasah yang harus dipertahankan salah satunya adalah masalah kedisiplinan, termasuk disiplin para guru dalam kehadiran di kelas pada proses belajar mengajar. Untuk meningkatkan disiplin para guru dapat diupayakan melalui bermacam-macam cara. Dalam Penelitian Tindakan Madrasah (PTM) ini, dilaksanakan dalam tindakan berupa pemberian Reward dan Punishment untuk para guru di MTs Negeri 4 Mojokerto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, karena dari hasil penelitian dan analisa data, ternyata pada siklus kedua, kedisiplinan guru dalam kehadiran di kelas pada proses belajar mengajar meningkat dan memenuhi indikator yang telah ditetapkan sebesar 75,00%. Dari hasil penelitian tindakan madrasah dari jumlah guru sebanyak 36 orang, maka diperoleh hasil tingkat kedisiplinan guru masuk di kelas melaksanakan proses pembelajaran pada siklus 2 diperoleh gambaran bahwa sebanyak 29 orang guru atau (80,56%), yang terlambat masuk kelas kurang dari 5 menit, dan terdapat 5 orang guru atau (13,89%), yang terlambat masuk kelas 5 menit sampai dengan 10 menit, dan 2 orang guru atau (5,55%) yang terlambat masuk kelas lebih dari 10 menit. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan disiplin guru dalam kehadiran di kelas pada kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat dilakukan dengan penerapan Reward and Punishment kepada guru.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are strongly influenced by the quality of learning carried out in madrasah. Onething that determines the quality of learning is the use of learning methods and models that are appropriateor in accordance with the material being taught. The results of learning speaking skills material in responseto short story reading at MTsN 4 Jombang are still very low. For this reason, the researcher wants to makechanges so that learning outcomes can be increased, namely by applying the structure numbered headlearning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research which is carried out in 2 cycles with each cycleincluding planning, implementing actions, observing activities, and reflecting. The subjects of this studywere students of class IX A MTsN 4 Jombang even semester 2018/2019 with a total of 34 students. Thedata analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques were carriedout through student activity observation sheets, achievement tests for students’ learning competencies,interviews, and questionnaires. The results of this study are [1] the group discussion method with thenumbered head model can actively involve all students in discussion activities, is effective enough to fosterdiscipline, interest, cooperation, activeness, and responsibility of students and is proven to be effective inovercoming students’ difficulties. in expressing opinions and giving responses in short story reading; [2]the group discussion method with the numbered head model can improve Indonesian learning outcomes inspeaking skills, especially in response to short story reading. This is evidenced by the increase in Indonesianlearning achievement, the material ability to respond to short story reading from the initial conditions withan average value of 70 with 20 % completeness to the final condition in the second cycle, an average valueof 85 with a completeness of 85.70 % in class IX A MTsN students. 4 Jombang Even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

This research is based on the reality in the field, that the understanding of class XI students at SMAS PGRI 1 Maospati about Hydrocarbon Compounds is still very low. The learning method that has been carried out is information discussion and practice questions. Attention of students at first 100%, but increasingly weakened and precisely when practicing student problems such as loss of enthusiasm for learning. Seeing this reality, it is attempted to change the learning method used, namely by using the peer tutor method. This class action research consists of two cycles, each of which has a plan-action-observation-stage reflection. The analysis used is quantitative analysis. The percentage of student attendance in Cycle I and Cycle II was 100%. Classical Learning Mastery in Cycle I was 33.33% and in Cycle II it was 71.43%. These figures indicate that the Peer Tutor method is an appropriate and effective method to improve student learning outcomes on the Hydrocarbon Compound material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the stages of Need Assessment, Development, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation to improve employee competence in compiling and implementing SOP at MTsN 3 Ponorogo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Based on the phenomena described in natural words based on interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the research analysis state that there is a gradual increase in employee competence in compiling and implementing SOPs significantly, through the initial stages of understanding the concept of SOP preparation and development based on the Ministry of Religion's technical guidelines number 168 of 2010, increasing the ability to identify SOP needs, establishing an SOP development team to obtain input from information from users of madrasah services as well as refining SOPs, implementing SOPs in daily tasks at madrasahs and conducting monitoring and evaluation in monitoring SOP implementation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the procedure of using the Google application form as well as the responses of educators and students to their use. This study uses descriptive analytical methods with data collection techniques such as questionnaires and documentation studies. The subjects in this study were educators and students in the Ibtidaiyah Al Hidayah Domas Trowulan Mojokerto Madrasah. The results obtained are the procedure of using Google Form is the process of planning, the process of making, the process of distributing links and the socialization of instructions for use. Educator response data shows that Google Form can be used as an alternative for making evaluations. This is evidenced by the results that 100% of teachers as participants have an interest in making evaluations through Google Forms. The reason for the interest has 4 references, namely, 66% ease, 77% speed, 77% practicality, and 88% efficiency. And students' interest in using Google Form in Ujian Akhir Madrasah is 74%.
