Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of capital and labor on the productivity of brick businesses in Padang Ulak Tanding District. Research Methodology: Using a quantitative approach, data were collected by distributing questionnaires to a sample of 127 respondents, selected via simple random sampling from a total population of 187 brick business owners and employees. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results: The empirical results demonstrate that capital (X1) has a positive and significant effect on business productivity, indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.556 (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Similarly, Labor (X2) exhibits a positive and significant impact on productivity, with a regression coefficient of 0.427 (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Simultaneously, the F-test confirms that both capital and labor significantly influence brick business productivity (F = 146.161, p = 0.000 < 0.05). Conclusions: These findings conclude that higher financial allocation for equipment, raw materials, or capacity expansion plays a vital role in accelerating production output and efficiency. Limitations: This study is limited to the Padang Ulak Tanding District, meaning the results cannot be widely generalized to other regions. Culturally and academically. Contributions: This research contributes to microeconomics by providing empirical evidence on SME production elements in the post-pandemic recovery era.

Abstract

Purpose: To explore how AI-based promotion shapes consumers' perceptions and awareness when choosing eco-friendly products on the Shopee marketplace. Research Methodology: A qualitative descriptive case study approach was employed. Ten informants were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation during fieldwork conducted in person in June 2026. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To enhance the credibility of the findings, source triangulation and method triangulation were applied. Results: AI-based promotion positively influenced consumer environmental awareness. All informants reported that repeated exposure to AI-generated eco-friendly product recommendations heightened their environmental consciousness; eight informants rated the promotion as effective and two as moderately effective. Dominant purchase-decision factors were price and promotions, product reviews and quality, and actual need. Conclusions: AI-based promotion on Shopee gradually fosters consumer environmental awareness through personalized recommendation mechanisms, although economic considerations remain the primary filter in purchasing decisions. Limitations: The study involved only ten informants aged 18–35 selected through purposive sampling, so the findings are exploratory and contextual rather than broadly generalizable. Contributions: This study offers practical insight for e-commerce practitioners and platform developers on pairing eco-friendly promotion with price incentives and integrating environmental-impact information into AI recommendation features, and contributes to the marketing and consumer-behavior literature on AI driven sustainable consumption

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effects of Receivables Turnover (ROT) and Inventory Turnover (IT) on the Current Ratio (CR), with Gross Profit Margin (GPM) as a moderator, among Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) firms. Prior studies examined liquidity determinants in isolation with inconsistent results, overlooking the interactive profitability efficiency mechanism and Islamic financial principles an unresolved gap addressed herein. Anchored in Working Capital Management, Resource-Based View, and Trade-off Theories, this study elucidates the cash-conversion mechanism linking working capital management to liquidity, foregrounding GPM's moderating role within Islamic capital markets as its novelty. Research Methodology: Purposive sampling yielded 11 JII companies (2018–2023; 66 firm-year observations), analyzed via Panel Data Regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (EViews12). Results: ROT significantly and positively affects CR, whereas IT and GPM do not; simultaneously, the variables explain 92.3% of liquidity variance. GPM strengthens the ROT–CR relationship but does not moderate the IT–CR relationship. Conclusions: JII liquidity requires integrated management of receivables, inventory, and profitability; profitability catalyzes receivables-management efficacy, affirming, through the maṣlaah paradigm, financial equilibrium as sustainable conduct. Limitations: The small sample constrains external validity and generalizability; GPM's non-moderation of the inventory liquidity nexus suggests alternative moderators. Contributions: This study provides stakeholders evidence for holistic, sustainable liquidity management through interconnected ratios under the maṣlaḥah paradigm

Abstract

Purpose: This study addresses uneven personnel competence, irregular training, and the suboptimal use of SRIKANDI at the Pangkalan Susu Urban Village Office. It examines how personnel capacity building, internal oversight, and digital administration interact and complement one another in strengthening fund management accountability. Research Methodology: This qualitative case study, conducted in May 2026, employed in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis involving three key informants the Head of the Urban Village, the Urban Village Secretary, and the administrative operator directly involved in administration, fund management, and internal oversight. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. Results: Capacity building enhanced personnel comprehension of financial procedures and digital administration, fostering systematic documentation and reliable reporting, while internal oversight reinforced these gains through monitoring. Nonetheless, administrative integration remained constrained by limited personnel, irregular training, and inconsistent SRIKANDI utilization. Conclusions: Accountability is strengthened through the integration of continuous personnel development, effective internal oversight, and adaptive digital administration; local governments should therefore prioritize competency programs, role clarity, internal controls, and sustained digital support. Limitations: This study was limited to one urban village office and three purposively selected informants; findings may not fully generalize to urban villages with differing institutional structures, administrative capacities, and governance arrangements. Contributions: Theoretically, this study shows accountability emerges from the interaction of organizational capacity, control mechanisms, and digital administration rather than reporting compliance alone; practically, it guides efforts to strengthen personnel competence, internal oversight, and digital-administration readiness.

Abstract

Conclusions: Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa disparitas kemampuan fiskal antarprovinsi kepulauan masih cukup besar setelah implementasi UU HKPD.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines how green business practices contribute to the competitive advantage of resource-constrained crystal ice MSMEs in Medan City through resource efficiency, operational improvement, cost reduction, product differentiation, and environmental reputation. Research Methodology: A qualitative descriptive approach was used. Data were obtained from one key informant, the MSME owner-manager, through observation, a semi-structured interview, documentation, and literature review. Data validity was supported through source and method triangulation and member checking. Results: Green business adoption remained limited because financial constraints, low environmental literacy, limited technical capability, technological readiness, and weak institutional support interacted to restrict investment, technology use, and the integration of environmental practices into daily operations. Nevertheless, water and energy efficiency, wastewater management, equipment maintenance, hygienic production, and sustainable packaging may strengthen cost efficiency and product differentiation. Conclusion: In the resource-intensive crystal ice industry, green business functions as a strategic capability that helps MSMEs balance economic performance, environmental responsibility, and operational continuity while improving efficiency, product quality, and market positioning. Limitations: Because the study involved one MSME and one key informant, the findings are not intended for statistical generalization. However, they may provide transferable insights for MSMEs with similar resource limitations and operational challenges. Contribution: This study extends RBV and NRBV by showing how environmental knowledge, operational routines, and resource-efficiency practices can become competitive capabilities in resource-constrained MSMEs.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the determinants of career exploration among Generation Z final-year students in Indonesia. While existing literature primarily focuses on Gen Y or Western retail contexts, this study addresses the research gap regarding how dual cognitive factors, job expectations and sector-specific perceptions interact to drive career exploration behavior among Gen Z in an emerging market. Research Methodology: This study utilized a quantitative survey design. Data were collected from a sample of 350 active students at the University of Bengkulu, Indonesia, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Questionnaire instruments were used to measure career expectations, perceptions of retail careers, and career exploration behavior, with the hypotheses tested using multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Both career expectations and perceptions of retail careers have a statistically significant positive influence, these factors explain 47.3% of the variance in career exploration students with clearer, well-defined job expectations and positive perceptions of the retail sector as a dynamic career path demonstrate more proactive and extensive career exploration. Conclusions: Generation Z's career exploration behavior in the retail sector is strongly driven by their initial expectations and industry perceptions. Cultivating positive views of the retail industry and helping students build realistic career expectations are vital to encouraging active career discovery among graduates Limitations: The study is subject to methodological limitations, including a cross-sectional design that restricts causal inference, reliance on self-reported survey data susceptible to social desirability bias, and a sample geographically restricted to a single institution (University of Bengkulu). Contributions: This study contributes to the literature on career development and human resource management by focusing on Generation Z within the Indonesian retail context. Practically, it guides universities to integrate accurate industry profiling into career curricula, while enabling retail industry stakeholders to rebrand their image and communicate clear career pathways to attract young talent

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of the 7P marketing mix and consumer behavior on customers’ perceived value at the Kopi Kenangan Babakan outlet in Tangerang City, Indonesia, and to identify the relative contribution of each variable in shaping consumer value perceptions. Research Methodology: This study employed a quantitative associative research design. Data were collected from 100 customers of Kopi Kenangan Babakan using non-probability sampling and a structured five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²). Results: The findings reveal that both the 7P marketing mix (t=2.842, p=0.005, 15.26% contribution) and consumer behavior (t=5.438, p<0.001, 33.72% contribution) positively and significantly affect perceived value, jointly explaining 47.9% of its variance (F=46.541, p<0.001, Adjusted R²=0.479). Physical evidence and service process scored highest among marketing mix dimensions. Conclusions: Consumer behavior most strongly drives perceived value, followed by the 7P marketing mix. Maintaining quality physical facilities and efficient service, strengthening promotion, and facilitating consumers' information-seeking can enhance perceived value and strengthen Kopi Kenangan's competitive position. Limitations: This study is limited by its single outlet focus (Kopi Kenangan Babakan, Tangerang), restricting generalizability, its narrow scope to only the 7P marketing mix and consumer behavior, reliance on self-reported questionnaire data, and a cross-sectional design capturing perceptions at only one point in time. Contributions: This study examines how the 7P marketing mix and consumer behavior jointly shape perceived value in Indonesia's branded coffee shop industry, finding consumer behavior more influential. It offers managers evidence to prioritize consumer-oriented strategies alongside improving promotion, service processes, and physical evidence to strengthen perceived value and competitiveness.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effect of dynamic capabilities on digital transformation and the moderating role of organizational learning among culinary MSMEs in Kolaka Regency. Research Methodology: A quantitative survey was conducted involving 130 culinary MSMEs selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. Results: The findings show that dynamic capabilities have a positive and significant effect on digital transformation. However, organizational learning does not significantly moderate the relationship between dynamic capabilities and digital transformation. Conclusions: Digital transformation among culinary MSMEs is primarily supported by entrepreneurs’ ability to identify opportunities, respond to environmental changes, and reconfigure resources. Organizational learning has not yet developed into a mechanism capable of strengthening this relationship. Limitations: The study focuses exclusively on culinary MSMEs in Kolaka Regency, limiting the generalizability of the findings to other sectors and regions. Contributions: This study extends research on dynamic capabilities and digital transformation by providing empirical evidence from MSMEs in a non-metropolitan context. The findings also offer practical insights for policymakers in designing MSME development programs that combine digital adoption with adaptive capability development

Abstract

Purpose: This study examined how organizational justice and symmetrical internal communication were associated with readiness for change through perceived organizational support and employee engagement. Research Methodology: A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted among 389 civil servants at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of Indonesia using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) with IBM SPSS AMOS. Results: Organizational justice did not have a significant direct effect on readiness for change (β = −.024, p = .753), but its effect was sequentially mediated through perceived organizational support and employee engagement (indirect effect = .211). Symmetrical internal communication had both direct and sequential indirect effects on readiness for change (indirect effect = .155). Employee engagement emerged as the strongest direct predictor of readiness for change (β = .637, p < .001). Conclusions: The findings indicate that readiness for change develops primarily through sequential psychological mechanisms, consistent with the complementary perspectives of Social Exchange Theory and Job Demands–Resources Theory. Limitations: The cross-sectional design, purposive sampling, single-institution setting, and self-reported measures limit causal inference and generalizability. Future research should employ longitudinal and mixed-method designs across multiple organizational contexts to examine how these mechanisms evolve during organizational change. Contributions: This study extends public-sector change management literature by demonstrating how organizational conditions foster readiness through sequential roles of perceived organizational support and employee engagement
