Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to increase, transmission, spread, and death rates are increasing, resulting in the implementation of large-scale social restrictions on community activities in Indonesia. This high rate of transmission can be caused by poor public behavior towards prevention programs that have been announced by the Government. In order to increase public knowledge in prevention and communication and minimize the spread of COVID-19, socialization and outreach media are needed that can encourage more effective delivery and dissemination of information. Technological developments encourage the delivery of information to become more interactive. One use of technology is delivering information with spatial integration through ArcGIS Story Maps. Story Maps can be handy for spreading knowledge on several topics, focusing on where the story occurs. In this paper, we explore the opportunities offered by Story Maps to implement Story Maps as an outreach media and a solution for socializing and disseminating information during the pandemic. Specifically, we refer to a series of different applications offered by Esri for building Story Maps based on different approaches and techniques. The results of using Story Maps are in the form of presenting information, information media, and counseling in the form of an interactive map which contains a general description of COVID-19, case conditions, level of spread, and how to handle it and related regulations through the Story Maps feature. This story map involves geospatial elements, web GIS, text, images, and video so that it can be an alternative solution for related parties in socializing and disseminating information during the pandemic

Abstract

The term "tunanetra" is used to refer to someone who experiences total blindness or visual impairment. Such visual limitations result in visually impaired individuals facing difficulties in accessing information quickly and performing daily activities like walking, driving, and more. Walking is one of the crucial activities for visually impaired individuals because it is one way to explore the world and engage in daily activities. Based on this issue, an assistive device for the visually impaired was designed using embedded system technology. In 2022, Serly Juliana Taneo, Jonshon Tarigan, Frederika Rambu Ngana, and Andreas Ch. Louk developed a mobility aid device for individuals with visual impairments using ultrasonic sensors for distance detection and Arduino as the microcontroller. However, the device primarily focused on mobility, and there is a need to add new features, such as emergency information using SMS technology that can send messages with the press of a button. The research results indicate that the ultrasonic sensor successfully triggers vibrations within a range of 1-100 cm, and the button can send emergency notifications via SMS when pressed. Therefore, it can be concluded that all connected components can function as intended. By combining SMS technology and ultrasonic sensors, this assistive device is expected to enhance the safety and independence of individuals with visual impairments as they navigate their surroundings.

Abstract

With the internet network, we can quickly get information very quickly. The information we get is not changed by people not authorized to access the system or platform. Apache is a web server often used to connect users with websites where the information is located. The more users there are, the more crimes there will be when attacking the web server by irresponsible people. Due to limited time for web administrators, to improve the security of the Apache web server, an intrusion detection system is needed that can help monitor network traffic and detect the type of attack that is occurring and then forward the notification to the mobile application in real-time, because attacks can occur at any time. Intrusion Detection is one implementation of the security hardening method for the software hardening category. The results of this research will be that the system will detect intrusion attempts based on the rules created, and users will receive notifications to the Telegram application and can see details of incoming reports such as the attacker's I.P. address, description of the intrusion, name of the security hole, time of intrusion, and payload used.

Abstract

The large selection of training programs provided by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia makes it difficult for prospective trainees to choose a training program that suits their interests and needs. The purpose of this research is to support the selection process so that an appropriate method is needed to recommend the selection of training programs that match the interests and needs of users. One of the selection methods that can be used is the Content-Based Filtering method with similarity measurement using Cosine Similarity. The content-based filtering method is a content-based filtering method, which recommends training programs based on the suitability between the description of the training program and the interests of prospective trainees using the cosine similarity distance measurement. The test results using the Content-Based Filtering method were able to achieve an average precision value of 88%, indicating the ability of the system to provide training program recommendations that are very relevant and in accordance with the interests and needs of the trainees.

Abstract

Crown density and foliage transparency are important parameters for tree crown conditions. Previously, observers carried out crown density and foliage transparency assessments manually, which could be a less efficient process. This research aims to use the VGG-16 deep learning architecture to classify the density and transparency of broadleaves tree crowns. In this study, broadleaves tree crown datasets were collected for four types of broadleaves tree: cacao (theobroma cacao), durian (durio zibethinus), rubber (havea brasiliensis), candlenut (aleurites moluccana); then the data is labeled based on the crown density and foliage transparency scale card. The research applies resize and augmentation preprocessing. The model training process uses a scenario of 80% train data, 10% test data, and 10% validation data. After training using the VGG-16 model, the test results showed impressive accuracy, with the highest accuracy reaching 98.40% for candlenut trees, rubber (96.00%), cacao (92.00%), and durian (86.60%). This research shows quite good results in classifying the scale of crown density and foliage transparency with four types of broadleaves tree (cacao, durian, rubber and candlenut) using VGG-16.

Abstract

The digital representation of flowers, characterized by their vivid chromatic attributes, establishes them as viable candidates for deployment as input imagery within the object recognition paradigm. Within the context of object recognition, the imperative of a proficient image segmentation process is underscored, serving to effectively discern the object from its background and, consequently, optimizing the efficacy of the object recognition process. This research unfolds through a methodologically structured tripartite framework, encompassing the initial stage involving input imagery, the subsequent intermediate phase dedicated to image segmentation, and a conclusive stage centered on the quantitative evaluation of methodological outcomes. The second stage, focusing on image segmentation, employs the Otsu thresholding and multilevel thresholding methods. The subsequent third stage involves a thorough assessment of segmentation outcomes through the application of quantitative metrics, including Peak signal-to-oise ratio (PSNR) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Empirical investigations, incorporating a diverse array of floral input images, reveal a conspicuous inclination towards a specific segmentation methodology. Specifically, the Otsu Thresholding method emerges as the more judicious choice relative to multilevel Thresholding, demonstrating superior performance with a diminished RMSE value and an augmented PSNR value, substantiated by an average RMSE value. This research is propelled by the overarching objective of discerning the most optimal method for the segmentation of flower images, particularly in the face of diverse input images. Its significant contribution lies in providing nuanced insights into the discerning selection of segmentation methodologies, attuned to the variability inherent in diverse forms of input imagery, thereby culminating in optimized outcomes within the domain of flower image recognition. Where did these results come from? please show it in the sub-discussion.
