Abstract

Kebutuhan bahan ajar diperlukan untuk meningkatkan efektifitas pembelajaran dan pemahaman peserta didik. Penelitian bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis numerasi materi bentuk aljabar untuk blended learning yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan numerasi peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah angket, tes dan wawancara. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 24 peserta didik kelas VII salah satu SMP Negeri di Palembang. Kevalidan bahan ajar dilihat dari aspek kelayakan isi, bahasa, tampilan, serta komentar dan saran dari hasil uji coba one-to-one. Kepraktisan bahan ajar dilihat dari angket. Skor rata-rata kevalidan bahan ajar adalah 74,77 dengan kriteria cukup valid atau layak digunakan dengan revisi. Sedangkan skor rata-rata kepraktisan bahan ajar adalah 87,08 dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan numerasi dilihat dari hasil tes 8 peserta didik terkategori sangat baik, 9 peserta didik terkategori baik, 4 peserta didik terkategori sedang dan 3 peserta didik terkategori kurang. The need for teaching materials is needed to help improve effective learning and student understanding. This study aims to produce numeration-based teaching materials in algebraic forms for blended learning that are valid, practical and have a potential effect on students' numeracy abilities. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, tests and interviews. The sample of this research was 24 class VII students of one of the state Junior High School in Palembang. The validity of teaching materials was seen from the aspects of content feasibility, language feasibility, display feasibility, also comments and suggestions from the results of one-to-one trials. The practicality of teaching materials can be seen from the questionnaire. The average score for the validity of teaching materials is 74.77 with the criteria being quite valid or suitable for use with revisions. While the average practicality score of teaching materials is 87.08 with very practical criteria. The developed teaching materials also have a potential effect on numeracy skills as seen from the test results with 8 students in the very good category, 9 students in the good category, 4 students in the moderate category and 3 students in the poor category.

Abstract

Salah satu yang dapat mempengaruhi terbangunnya keterampilan berfikir kreatif adalah scientific attitudes seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (a) Mendeskripsikan profil scientific attitudes mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (b) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (c) Menguji keterkaitan antara scientific attitudes dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Aspek kelancaran, aspek keaslian dan aspek kerincian termasuk kategori tinggi. Sedangkan aspek keluwesan termasuk pada kategori sedang. Bentuk penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan status sepadan yaitu menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang tidak mengulang pada mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil pembelajaran matematika tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klaster random sampling. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi Kendall Tau. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan yang erat antara scientific attitudes dengan kemampuan berfikir kreatif mahasiswa pada perkuliahan penilaian proses dan hasil belajar matematika. One that can affect the development of creative thinking skills is a person's scientific attitude. The aims of this study were (a) to describe the scientific attitude profile of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (b) to describe the creative thinking skills of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (c) to test the relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking skills. Aspects of fluency, aspects of creativity, and aspects of fact are included in the high category. In comparison, the aspect of flexibility is included in the medium category. This form of research uses mixed methods with commensurate status, namely using a qualitative descriptive approach and a quantitative approach. Meanwhile, the research sample was students who did not repeat the mathematics learning process and results in the 2022/2023 school year assessment course. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Testing the research hypothesis using Kendall Tau correlation analysis. The results of hypothesis testing show a close relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking abilities in the process assessment lectures and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika diperlukan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan proses berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa laki-laki dan perempuan level menganalisis (C4), mengevaluasi (C5), dan mencipta (C6) dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Subjek penelitian 1 siswa laki-laki dan 1 siswa perempuan. Instrumen utama peneliti sendiri, instrumen pendukung tes berpikir tingkat tinggi dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan tes dan wawancara. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Teknik analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian subjek laki-laki (C4), mengenali, menyebutkan hal penting, dan membuat rencana solusi. (C5), memeriksa kebenaran pekerjaan, membuktikan kesamaan luas lahan dan memberikan penilaian. (C6), membuat dua  gambar berbeda dari solusi jawaban yang pertama serta membuktikan kesamaan luas. Subjek perempuan (C4), mengenali hal penting dan tidak penting, membuat rencana solusi dengan menggambar lahan, membuktikan kesamaan luas dengan menghubungkan materi sumbu simetri dan rumus luas bangun trapesium. (C5), memeriksa kebenaran hasil pekerjaan  dengan menghitung luas lahan serta  memberikan penilaian, dan menghubungkan konsep materi sumbu simetri. (C6), membuat satu  gambar yang berbeda, tidak membuktikan kebenaran kesamaan luas, dan menghitung panjang pagar. Higher-order thinking process skills in solving mathematical problems are necessary in the learning process. The purpose of the study was to describe the high-order thinking process of male and female students at analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) in problem solving. The participants were 1 male student and 1 female student. The main instrument was the researcher himself, and the supporting instruments were higher order thinking tests and interview guidelines to collect the data. To validate the data, this study utilized time triangulation. The data analysis was processed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings of the study revealed that the male subject could (C4), identifyy the problem, mention important things, and plan the solutions, (C5) evaluate the work, prove the similarity of the land area and providee an assessment, (C6) make two different pictures of the first answer's solution and prove the broad similarity. The female subject could (C4), recognize important and unimportant things, make a solution plan by drawing the land, prove the similarity of areas by connecting the material axes of symmetry and the formula of a trapezoid area, (C5) evaluate the answer by calculating the land area and providing an assessment, and connecting the material concept of the axial symmetry, (C6) make a different picture, not prove the truth of the area similarity, and calculate the length of the fence.

Abstract

Penemuan William Oughtred berupa alat peraga yang disebut slide rule membuat matematika terus berkembang. Slide rule membantu para ilmuwan dan teknisi dalam melakukan perhitungan matematika kompleks, serta membuka jalan perkembangan teknologi baru.  Tujuan penelitian untuk memotivasi, memberikan informasi, dan mengetahui pengetahuan mahasiswa calon guru mengenai matematikawan Oughtred dan penemuannya. Penelitian berjenis kualitatif dengan metode literature review dan studi kasus. Literatur review didapatkan dari beberapa jurnal yang berhubungan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelaah, menganalisis, dan mengelompokkan sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan. Studi kasus didapat dari wawancara terhadap subjek penelitian, yaitu 10 mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika. Instrumen berbentuk wawancara terbuka. Setiap mahasiswa diberikan pertanyaan mengenai pengetahuan tentang William Oughtred dan penemuannya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan meta analisis dan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat tiga kategori respon mahasiswa pendidikan matematika terhadap topik wawancara. Kategori tersebut yaitu Know History Oughtred, Forget History Oughtred, dan Indifferent to History Oughtred.William Oughtred's invention in the form of a teaching aid called the slide rule made mathematics continue to develop. Slide rules help scientists and technicians perform complex mathematical calculations, and pave the way for new technological developments. The research aims to motivate, provide information, and find out the knowledge of prospective teacher students about the mathematician Oughtred and his findings. Qualitative research used literature review and case study methods. Literature reviews were obtained from several related journals. Data collection techniques are carried out by examining, analyzing, and grouping conclusions obtained. Case studies were obtained from interviews with research subjects, namely 10 students in a mathematics education study program. The instrument is in the form of an open interview. Each student is given questions regarding knowledge about William Oughtred and his discoveries. Data analysis was performed by meta-analysis and thematic analysis. The results showed that there were three categories of mathematics education students' responses to the interview topic. These categories are Know History Oughtred, Forget History Oughtred, and Indifferent to History Oughtred.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi materi matematika SMP pada kurikulum Merdeka, dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan materi matematika pada kurikulum Merdeka dan kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan tinjauan pustaka secara sistematik. Hal ini karena digunakan sebagai studi pengembangan awal yang dilakukan untuk penyusunan LKS. Sesuai dengan metode penelitian yang digunakan, peneliti menjadi instrumen utama. Langkah-langkah penelitian ini adalah (1) merumuskan pertanyaan tinjauan, (2) melakukan pencarian literatur secara sistematis, (3) menyaring dan memilih artikel penelitian yang sesuai, (4) menganalisis dan menyintesis temuan kualitatif, (5) menjaga kendali mutu, dan (6) menyajikan temuan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari regulasi kurikulum merdeka, regulasi kurikulum 2013, dan mengidentifikasi artikel dari jurnal. Teknik analisis data mengacu pada reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi matematika yang dipelajari siswa pada kurikulum Merdeka sebagian besar sama dengan kurikulum 2013, namun terdapat perbedaan pada materi lingkaran. Untuk materi himpunan, dan aritmetika sosial belum dipelajari dalam kurikulum merdeka. This study aimed to identify junior high school mathematics material in the Merdeka curriculum and to find out the differences in mathematics material in the Merdeka curriculum and the 2013 curriculum. The research method used in this study was qualitative with a systematic literature review approach because it served as a preliminary development analysis carried out to prepare worksheets. According to the research method used, the researcher becomes the main instrument. The steps of this research are (1) formulating the review question, (2) conducting a systematic literature search, (3) screening and selecting appropriate research articles, (4) analyzing and synthesizing qualitative findings, (5) maintaining quality control, and (6) presenting finding. The Merdeka curriculum's regulation provided the data for this study, 2013 curriculum regulation, and identifying articles from journals. Data analysis techniques refer to data reduction, display, and verification. The results show that the mathematics material that students learn in the Merdeka curriculum is mostly the same as the 2013 curriculum, but there are differences in the circle material. The Merdeka curriculum excludes the study of set content and social math.

Abstract

Kemampuan kuantitatif dibutuhkan calon guru biologi dalam memahami fenomena biologis. Hal pertama yang perlu dilakukan dalam menyelesaikan masalah ini adalah perlunya eksplorasi kondisi kecemasan matematika calon guru biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi tingkat kecemasan matematika calon guru biologi dan perbedaannya berdasarkan gender dan angkatan masuk kuliah. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuisioner AMAS (Abbreviated Math Anxiety Scale). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistic deskriptif, uji anova satu arah, dan uji Kruskal-Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan calon guru biologi memiliki tingkat kecemasan matematika dan kecemasan belajar matematika berdasarkan angkatan dan gender berada pada kategori sedang. Sementara kecemasan evaluasi matematika berada pada kategori tinggi berdasarkan angkatan dan gender.  Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan kecemasan matematika, kecemasan belajar matematika, kecemasan atas evaluasi matematika berdasarkan gender dan angkatan. Hasil penelitian ini layak menjadi perhatian dalam pendidikan biologi bahwa perlu dikonstruksi suatu desain didaktis ataupun perubahan kurikulum yang mendorong integrasi dan interdisiplinari matematika dan biologi sehingga kecemasan matematika dapat berkurang. Quantitative ability is needed by prospective biology teachers in understanding biological phenomena. The first thing that needs to be done in solving this problem is the need to explore the condition of pre-service biology teachers’ mathematics anxiety. This study aims to explore the mathematics anxiety level of pre-service biology teachers and their differences by gender and cohort. Data were collected using the AMAS (Abbreviated Math Anxiety Scale) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA test, and Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed that pre-service biology teachers had mathematics anxiety levels and mathematics learning anxiety based on cohort and gender were in the medium category. Meanwhile, mathematics evaluation anxiety is in the high category based on cohort and gender. The results also showed that there was no difference between mathematics anxiety, mathematics learning anxiety, anxiety over mathematics evaluation based on gender and cohort. The results of this study deserve attention in biology education that it is necessary to construct a didactic design or curriculum change that encourages integration and interdisciplinary mathematics and biology so that mathematics anxiety can be reduced.

Abstract

Computational Thingking (CT) dan entrepreneurship membutuhkan pemikiran matematika, begitu pula pada pembelajaran matematika membutuhkan pola pikir CT dan karakter entrepreneurship. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengekplorasi potensi CT dilihat dari karakter entrepreneur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Tiga mahasiswa calon guru Matematika menjadi subyek terpilih dari duapuluh subyek penelitian. Pengambilan data melalui data tes, angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa aktivitas CT dari karakter entrepreneur tinggi dan sedang ditemukan aktivitas CT dengan komponen abstraksi, algoritma, kreativitas, dekomposisi, dan generalisasi. Kuatnya karakter enterpenur berupa kreativitas memunculkan komponen baru dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Kreativitas direkomendasikan menjadi salah satu komponen CT dalam pembelajaran matematika. Computational Thinking (CT) and entrepreneurship require mathematical thinking, as well as learning mathematics requires a CT mindset and entrepreneurial character. This research reports on an educational research study that explores the potential of CT in terms of entrepreneurial character. Research using a descriptive approach. Three prospective mathematics teacher students were selected from the twenty subjects of this study. Data collection through data tests, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study revealed that CT activity had a high entrepreneurial character and moderate CT activity was found with components of abstraction, algorithm, creativity, decomposition, and generalization. The strong character of the entrepreneur in the form of creativity raises a new component in solving mathematical problems. Creativity is recommended to be a component of CT in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kumpulan soal terpadu yang dapat diakses siswa dengan mudah. Bahan ajar yang dimiliki siswa di sekolah tidak dapat memberikan umpan balik berupa skor akhir dan pembahasan dari setiap soal. Terlebih lagi lembar soal yang sering dimiliki siswa memiliki tampilan kurang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bank soal matematika SMP berbasis digital dan interaktif yang valid dan layak digunakan siswa. Bank soal tersebut berupa website yang dapat diakses oleh seluruh siswa tanpa berbayar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian design research tipe development study yang terdiri dari preliminary design dan formative evaluation. Data diperoleh melalui angket dan dianalisis menggunakan kategorisasi penilaian. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dosen, guru, dan siswa sesuai tahap penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan web bank soal bernilai valid berdasarkan penilaian validator dan dapat digunakan oleh semua kalangan secara terbuka. A question bank is an accessible website provided for all students free of charge. This study was  initiated due to the lack of a accessible collection of integrated questions banks. Teaching materials at school did not provide feedback such as a final score and explanation of each question. Furthermore, the question sheets showed an unattractive interface. This study aimed to produce interactive and digital-based math question banks for junior high school that met the validity and appropriateness for students to use. This design study was a development study encompassing preliminary design and formative evaluation. The data were obtained through questionnaires and analysis using assessment categorization. According to the research stages, the participants were lecturers, teachers, and students. The study results showed that the question bank web was valid based on the validator's assessment and able to be used by all groups openly

Abstract

Banyaknya peneliti yang telah melakukan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan modul matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kembali hasil-hasil penelitian pada perbandingan tingkat hasil belajar siswa terhadap pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan modul matematika, berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Meta-analisis. Hasil penelusuran ditemukan sebanyak 61 data yang  memenuhi syarat dan ketentuan dari database Geogle Scolar, DOAJ, dan Scopus dari jumlah peserta didik (N), nilai uji fisher (F), nilai uji student (t), nilai uji korelasi (r) dan ketuntasan klasikal yang diambil bersdasarkan dengan  kata kunci. Dan hasil data akan dianalisis menggunakan sofware JASP dengan menginput nilai Effect Size (ES) dan standart Error (SE) dari tiap data. Dari hasil analis data dapat terlihat peningkatan yang signifikan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan tingkat  perbandingan hasil pemecahan masalah menggunakan modul matematika pada semua jenjang, pada jenjang SD sebesar 96% (kategori tinggi), tingkat SMP sebesar 99% (kategori tinggi), tingkat SMA 101% (kategori tinggi) dan PT sebesar 86% (kategori tinggi). Disimpulkan tingkat perbandingan pada jenjang SMA lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan jenjang SD, SMP, dan PT. Many researchers have conducted research related to improving mathematical problem-solving skills using mathematical modules. The purpose of this study is to re-analyze the research on the level of comparison of studies learning outcomes to problem-solving skills with mathematics modules, based on the level of education, namely elementary, junior high, high school, and higher education. The method used in this study is Meta-analysis.The search results found as much as 61 data that met the terms and conditions  from the Geogle scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus databases  fisher test value (F), student test value (t), correlation test value (r), and classical completeness taken based on keywords. And the data results next analyzed using JASP software by inputting the Effect Size (ES) and Standard Error (SE) values from each data. From the results of the data analysis, a significant increase can be seen. Improving problem-solving skills using mathematics modules is more widely used at the high school level compared to the elementary, junior high, and tertiary levels. The results  of the data analysis showed that there was a comparative level of problem solving results using mathematics modules at all levels, at the SD level of 96% (high category), SMP level of 99% high (category), SMA level of 101% (high category), and PT level by 86% (high category). It can be concluded that the comparison level at the SMA level is the higher than at the SD, SMP, SMA and PT levels.
