International Journal of Global Operations Research (IJGOR) is published 4 times a year and is the flagship journal of the Indonesian Operational Research Association (IORA). It is the aim of IJGOR to present papers which cover the theory, practice, history or methodology of OR. However, since OR is primarily an applied science, it is a major objective of the journal to attract and publish accounts of good, practical case studies. Consequently, papers illustrating applications of OR to real problems are especially welcome. In real applications of OR: forecasting, inventory, investment, location, logistics, maintenance, marketing, packing, purchasing, production, project management, reliability and scheduling. Abstract

This study aims to increase public knowledge about the processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. Prior to counseling and training, the results of the pretest showed that most of the participants (70.5%) had known the utilization and processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine. After attending the training, participants were given a post-test questionnaire to measure the increase in their knowledge.The results showed that there was a significant increase in the participants' knowledge after attending the training. The knowledge percentage increased from 70.5% to 89.0%, representing an increase of 18.5%. This training provides information on how to process guava leaves into herbal medicines that are effective in treating diarrhea.Some of the processing methods taught in the training include making guava leaf tea, guava leaf extract, and decoction of guava leaves. Participants were also given knowledge about the active ingredients in guava leaves, such as quercetin, which has an anti-diarrhea effect.This study showed that the counseling and training program was effective in increasing participants' knowledge about processing guava leaves as a herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. With the knowledge gained, it is hoped that the community can properly process guava leaves and use them effectively in maintaining health and treating diarrhea with simple medication. This program also empowers garden plants in the environment around the village as an easily accessible source of herbal medicines.

Abstract

A service is considered good if it can provide fast service so that customers are not left waiting for too long. If a service has a long queue, then causing customers to wait for a long time, their satisfaction and trust levels may decrease. Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Sumedang offers various outpatient services, including a pediatric clinic. Almost every day, a significant number of patients come to the pediatric clinic, resulting in considerable waiting time for patients. The service discipline used is First Come First Serve, and the service system falls under the multi-phase category, where each patient has to go through several stages to receive optimal service. This research will focus on the service system in the pediatric clinic at each stage, starting from registration, examination by the doctor, to medication collection at the pharmacy. The research findings indicate that the workload at the pharmacy counter is very high, while it is significantly low at the registration counter, resulting in suboptimal performance of the service system at these two stages. The performance of the service system can be improved by reducing service facilities at the registration counter and adding resources at the pharmacy counter.

Abstract

This study aimed to calculate and compare the estimated organ absorption dose, risk of cancer due to exposure, and dose received by the gonads for women and men in radio diagnostic examinations with different projections. Radiographic examination of the abdomen (with anterior-posterior (AP) and posterior-anterior (PA) projections) and lumbar vertebrae (with anterior-posterior projection (AP), Right posterior-anterior oblique (RPO), and Left posterior-anterior oblique (LPO)), were performed. Software based on the Monte Carlo program has been used to calculate the estimated absorbed dose of the organ, the risk of cancer due to exposure, and the dose received by the gonads with different projections. The results showed that the PA projection on abdominal examination resulted in lower absorbed doses for the colon wall, liver, pancreas, and small intestine wall compared to the AP projection. The AP projection resulted in a higher absorbed dose than the oblique projection on the lumbar vertebral examination. RPO and LPO projections on lumbar spine examination produce different absorbed doses in organs. The colon wall, kidneys, pancreas, and prostate in men received lower doses using LPO, and the bladder, liver, ovaries (women), small intestine wall, and uterus in women received lower doses using projected RPO. The risk of cancer due to radiation exposure on abdominal examination is 35%-51% reduced using the PA projection, and on examination of the lumbar spine 40%-45% is reduced using the LPO projection. The dose received by the gonads showed that the ovarian dose reduction was 54% using the abdominal PA projection and 11% using the lumbar RPO. The dose reduction in the testicles was shown to be significant with the use of the abdominal PA projection.

Abstract

Transportation has become a very attached part of human daily life as a means of mobility in activities. Each transportation user has their own goals in transportation, so the mode of transportation travel takes effect in making it easier for users to reach their goals. At Padjadjaran University, Campus Jatinangor, there are several alternative modes of transportation, namely Odong-Odong, Easy Bike, conventional motorcycle taxis, and online motorcycle taxis. Each alternative mode of transportation has varying characteristics and user needs, so it is necessary to make the right decision. This study uses the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method to determine priority criteria and alternative modes of transportation suitable for use on campus. The criteria used in this study include tariff, time, comfort, safety, and environmental responsibility. The results in this study obtained the order of priority criteria, is safety, comfort, time, tariff, and environmental responsibility. Moreover, the alternative priority orders are Odong-Odong, online motorcycle taxis, Easy Bike, and conventional motorcycle taxis. That can be interpreted as the safety criteria are the most considered, and Odong-Odong is the most appropriate alternative to be used at Padjadjaran University, Campus Jatinangor.

Abstract

The daily activities of communities required the movement of people from one place to another. Communities need a service that can help their movement in their daily activities so the time used becomes more effective and efficient. PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia is one of the subsidiaries of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) which can be a solution for the community to answer urban transportation problems, especially the Jabodetabek area which is increasingly crowded and complex. However, users of public transportation services, including commuter line users, have to wait to get the service. Based on this background, this study focus is to discuss related to gate machine facility services and train services using concept of queueing theory. This research was conducted at Bekasi Station which has nine gate machines for check in with First Come First Serve service and four train platforms to serve the trains with Priority Service. The service model using Multiple Channel Single Phase service model. The result of this study indicate that the activity level of Indonesia’s Commuter Line service at Bekasi Station in term of check in is quiet high, while the train service has a low level activity so that the service system is not optimal. The level of activity in commuter line service can be more optimal if there is a reduction in facilities for the train service into three platforms that used in 09.00 – 18.00 WIB at Bekasi Station

Abstract

The pandemic caused by the corona virus or what is often referred to as Covid-19 has a very big impact on Indonesia and even the whole world. Various aspects were affected including trade. The drastic decline in business profits caused by Covid-19 is not even a few businesses that have gone out of business. One of the affected businesses is PT OSATEX 2. This study aims to determine the difference in profitability in PT OSATEX 2 Company before and during the New Normal during the Covid-19 period. This research uses quantitative and qualitative types of research with the calculation of profitability ratios. The profitability ratios used are Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Gross Profit Margin (GPM). The data collection technique in this study is directly by analyzing the financial statements of the PT OSATEX 2 company during the period March 2020 – December 2021. The data analysis methods used are the Wilcoxon Non Parametik test and the Paired sample t-test with the help of Microsoft Office Excel 2019 and IBM SPSS. The result of the study was that there were differences in the value of Return on Assets (ROA) before and during the New Normal during the Covid-19 period, although there was no difference in the value of Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Gross Profit Margin (GPM) before and during the New Normal during the Covid-19 period. There is a decrease in the ROA and ROE value indicating that the company PT OSATEX 2 has experienced negative developments while for NPM and GPM the company PT OSATEX 2 has increased, indicating that the company is experiencing positive developments with the New Normal situation.

Abstract

TB. Gilang Putra is a business engaged in the sale of building materials. In the processing of building material supplies, Tb.Gilang Putra uses manual processing. Then Tb.Gilang Putra needs an optimal program to improve its performance. Design a building material inventory information system is a system that will be built to reduce problems contained in the building material inventory information system. The loss and destruction of some data that prevents the data from being inputted. The method used in this building material inventory information system is object orientation (OOAD) and uses the Rational Unified Processes (RUP) model and is supported by Unified Modeling Language (UML) for software engineering processes with good structure. The author draws the conclusion that the system in this design can be useful and alleviate the process of supplying building materials and is able to solve problems that occur so that the system that is run can be used anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Aisyah Cake By Al-Ma'soem Rancaekek is a food shop that was established on October 2, 2021 at Jalan Rancaekek No. 99, Sayang Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency. At this time the sales system at Aisyah Cake by Al-Ma'soem Rancaekek made sales directly by coming to the store and via telephone to make purchases or ordering goods, to record orders using notes while the sales system was semi-computerized using an application . cashier. The design of information system sales is a system created to solve problems in the sales department at Aisyah Cake By Al-Ma'soem Rancaekek. The method used in this sales information system is OOAD (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) while the model used is RUP (Rational Unified Process) with the development tool in the form of UML (Unified Modeling Language). The purpose of this research is to help alleviate the problems that occur so that the system that is run can be used anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Online transportation is transportation based on a particular application, where consumers order a means of transportation through an application system on a smartphone. This change in lifestyle is used by business actors to start business competition in the online transportation business. In the competition regarding price, convenience, driver courtesy, and satisfaction, there are various kinds of online transportation including Gojek, Grab, Maxim, and InDriver. In the end, this becomes a consideration for the selection of online transportation for the people of Bandung City. To overcome these problems, a Decision Support System was developed using 5 criteria including: Ease, Service Quality, Product Quality, Price and Emotional. Comparative analysis between the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Simple Multi Attribute Technique (SMART) methods was conducted to find out how well the level of relevance of each method was to real conditions. Based on the ranking results from the questionnaire of 100 respondents from the Bandung City community, it is known that the distance difference between the rankings in the SAW method is 0.994 and the SMART method is 0.92. Thus, it can be concluded that the SAW method is considered relatively more relevant to be recommended in this type of case than the SMART method.
