Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effectiveness of upskilling and reskilling programs and the professional competence of vocational teachers before and after attending upskilling and reskilling training in Kota Medan. This research uses a combination approach (mix method), with a sequential exploratory. The study began by collecting qualitative data and continued with quantitative research on the professional competence of vocational school teachers before and after attending upskilling and reskilling training using a questionnaire. The research was carried out at SMK Negeri 2 Medan, SMK Negeri 7 Medan, SMK Negeri 9 Medan, SMK Swasta Dwi Warna and SMK Swasta Taman Siswa Medan. Primary data sources come from the results of interviews and questionnaires to 20 teachers who have attended upskilling and reskilling training. The findings of the study showed that the upskilling and reskilling program for increasing the professional competence of vocational teachers in Kota Medan was effective, and from the results of the questionnaire it was seen that there was an increase in the professional competence of vocational teachers after attending this training where the average data of teacher professional competence before attending upskilling and reskilling training is 45.30 and the average professional competence of teachers after attending the upskilling and reskilling training is 49.95, with an average increase in teacher professional competence of 4.65, the results of the paired sample test correlations about the relationship (correlation) between the data before attending the upskilling and reskilling training and the data after attending the upskilling and reskilling training obtained a correlation value of 0.909, the results of the paired sample test obtained a data significance value of 0.000 0.005 which means that there is a significant difference between the professional competence of teachers before attending the training and after attending the training. upskilling and reskilling training.

Abstract

Peran orang tua sangat di perlukan untuk proses pemebalajaran anak selama study from home ini, peran orang tua juga sangat diperlukan utuk memberikan edukasi kepada anak anaknya yang masih belum bisa memahami tentang pandemi yang sedang mewabah untuk tetap berdiam diri dirumah agar tidak terlular dan menularkan wabah pandemi ini. Orang tua merasa pembelajaran di rumah sangat efektif untuk diterapkan namun bukan berarti pembelajaran di sekolah tidak lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan kegiatan pembelajaran di rumah. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran orang tua dalam menerapkan pembelajaran di rumah saat pandemi covid 19 yang mengruskan murid untuk belajar dari rumah. Metode penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, data di peroleh melalui hasil wawancara dengan orang tua murid. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah orang tua dapat meningkatkan kelekatan hubungan dengan anaknya dan orang tua dapat melihat langsung perkembangan kemampuan anaknya dalam belajar serta menerapkan metode-metode dalam pembelajaran daring.Keywords : Peran orang tua, Pembelajaran, Covid-19

Abstract

Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah merupakan faktor yang penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di sekolah. Sebagai pemimpin, kepala Sekolah harus menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman bagi para guru, dengan komunikasi dua arah, tidak menciptakan jarak antara pimpinan dan bawahan, tetapi menganggap para guru adalah bagian dari mitra kerja yang memiliki peranan penting untuk mencapai tujuan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui efektivitas perilaku tugas dan hubungan bawahan dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 6. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian ini bersumber dari Kepala sekolah dan Guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah SMP Negeri 6 Tebing Tinggi dinilai cukup berhasil untuk meningkatkan kinerja para guru dan pegawai sekolah dalam menyelesaikan tugas mereka. Kepala sekolah SMP Negeri 6 Tebing Tinggi mampu menjalankan tugasnya dalam memberdayakan sumber daya sekolah dengan mengedepankan kedisiplinan, melakukan koordinasi tugas kepada bawahan, dan melakukan monitoring serta evaluasi terhadap kebijakan, peraturan, program kerja yang telah dirancang. Kinerja para guru dan pegawai sekolah SMP Negeri 6 Tebing Tinggi dinilai baik. Hal ini tidak lepas dari peran kepala sekolah yang dapat menciptakan suasana kerja yang nyaman.

Abstract

Sebab kepala sekolah mempunyai keahlian untuk mempengaruhi kenaikan kinerja pegawai tata usaha di sekolah, hingga kedudukan kepala sekolah selaku pemimpin di sekolah tidak lepas dari keberhasilan pegawai tata usaha. Pegawai tata usaha sekolah yaitu petugas yang bertugas mengelola seluruh aspek administrasi sekolah. Seluruh pihak seperti kepala sekolah, guru, serta siswa, hendak merasa mudah guna mengelola seluruh urusan sekolah terikat administrasi melalui pegawai tata usaha. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran kepala sekolah terhadap pegawai tata usaha sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur, yang membutuhkan serangkaian riset yang mengaitkan bermacam tipe informasi yang dikumpulkan dari bermacam buku ataupun artikel. Hasil penelitian dari bermacam sumber penyusunan menampilkan jika peran kepala sekolah terhadap pegawai tata usaha yaitu : (1) Administrator; (2) Edukator; (3) Supervisor; (4) Inovator; (5) Motivator. Oleh karena itu, kepala sekolah mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai tata usaha sekolah.Kata kunci: Kepala sekolah, Kinerja, Pegawai tata usaha

Abstract

Pendidikan tinggi adalah salah satu institusi yang menjadi pilar pengembangan sumber daya manusia di suatu negara. Penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi harus memperhatikan dinamika yang ada di masyarakat salah satunya berkaitan dengan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Pembangunan berkelanjutan merupakan konsep yang menekankan pada keseimbangan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi, keberlanjutan lingkungan, dan kesejahteraan sosial. Pendidikan tinggi memainkan peran yang penting dalam menciptakan kader yang memiliki pemahaman tentang konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari penelian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana relevansi dan kontekstualitas manajemen pendidikan tinggi untuk mempromosikan pembangunan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung implementasi yang komprehensif di masyarakat. Metode studi literatur digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan merangkum dari berbagai jurnal yang relevan untuk dibuat suatu konsepsi dan dianalisis berdasarkan pertanyaan penelitian. Hasil penelitian berkaitan dengan manajemen pendidikan tinggi membahas mengenai relevansi institusi pendidikan tinggi  dan perkembangan ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan berkaitan dengan meningkatkan kualitas tenaga kerja, mendorong inovasi, aspek pembangunan berkelanjutan yang dipromosikan di pendidikan dan strategi pendidikan tinggi dalam mempromosikan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen pendidikan tinggi harus mengadopsi pendekatan holistik dalam mempromosikan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Hal ini meliputi aspek-aspek seperti pembelajaran, penelitian, pengabdian masyarakat, dan pengelolaan kampus yang berorientasi pada pembangunan berkelanjutan. Abstract

The focus of this study is the problem of learning methods, learning resources, learning media and results. The values studied are the Civics scores of fifth grade students at MIN 8 Langkat taken from the report cards. This study aims to describe the Problems of Civics Learning and describe the results of Civics learning values for class V at MIN 8 Langkat. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including observation, interviews and document studies. Based on the results obtained by researchers when they saw the learning situation in class IV that the learning methods used by the teacher were still not varied enough to make students often feel bored and even sleepy and for class V at MIN 8 Langkat entered at 13.00, so the teacher should have been more Pay attention to the learning methods used so that learning activities are more interesting. then learning resources only focus on textbooks (thematic books) or the teacher focuses too much on the material in the book. In addition, in the learning process the use of instructional media is still felt to be lacking and the results of student scores in Civics learning on average are still not appropriate even below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM).

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the role of learning motivation on student learning outcomes in social studies class VI SD Negeri 067245 Medan Selayang. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects of this study were all Grade VI students at SD Negeri 067245 Medan Selayang. This research method is a literature review (Library Research). Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of this study, it shows that: The Role of Student Learning Motivation on learning outcomes in Social Science Subjects in Theme 6 (Towards a Prosperous Society) Sub-Theme II (Building a Prosperous Society) Class VI SD Negeri 067245 Medan Selayang is very important, this is because students Those who have great motivation will be more active in learning, enthusiastic, solving problems, more active during the teaching and learning process, high curiosity and so on so that they can improve their learning outcomes. This can be seen when students are studying on the theme of Theme 6 (Towards a Prosperous Society) Sub Theme II the teacher increases student motivation by using interesting learning methods and media with the aim of attracting students' attention. Conversely, students who have low motivation, appear indifferent, easily discouraged, their attention is not focused on learning, as a result students will experience learning difficulties. It can be seen that there are still students in class VI who cannot be independent and responsible, especially in social studies learning.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL)-based learning management at public elementary schools in Medan City. This research was conducted in December 2022. The population in this study were all first grade students of public elementary schools in Medan City, with a sample of 24 elementary schools. Sampling was carried out using the Puposive Sampling technique. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. The research shows the following results: 50% of the cognitive aspects have a very high category, the results of the affective aspect which consist of: the ability to behave honestly and discipline students 50% are in the very good category, on the ability to be caring, polite and confident, which gets the category very good attitude as much as 50%. Furthermore, on the ability of students to be responsible and communicative, as much as 58% is in the very good category. In the psychomotor abilities of students, the results of the ability to present orally the parts of the student's body were obtained, very good as much as 46%, good value as much as 54%. In the skills of presenting rules for maintaining body health, students who got very good as much as 58% and on students' skills in demonstrating limb movements through musical accompaniment, were in the very good category as much as 42% and in the good category 58%. The conclusions of the research show that learning management based on problem-based learning is effective on the abilities of first grade students of public elementary schools in Medan city

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the students' interest in studying history at SMA Negeri 4 Padangsimpuan. Through online learning, the problem of student interest in learning is a factor that determines the quality of student learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research, with data collection through a questionnaire of students' interest in learning history with a total of 60 students as respondents. The data obtained were analyzed using triangulation in which the percentage results were interpreted in the form of conclusions. The results of this study showed that students' interest in learning history through online learning showed that an average of 57.5% of students had an interest in learning history online and as many as 77.91% of students had an interest in learning face-to-face. This gives the meaning that students' interest in learning history is higher in face-to-face learning than online learning. Students' interest in studying history subjects face-to-face is more enthusiastic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principals' leadership, professional teachers, work culture on the performance of elementary school teachers in North Sibolga district and the influence of principals' leadership, professional teachers and work culture together on the performance of elementary school teachers in North Sibolga district. The population in this study were all PNS teachers who had been certified at SDN in North Sibolga District, amounting to 55 people. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Furthermore, validity and reliability tests were carried out. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that: (a) The relationship of the principal's leadership variable (X1) to teacher performance (Y) in the regression equation Y = 50,002+ 0,497 JMP-DMT, 4(2), 2023 | 46X1. This means that if the school climate increases by 1 point, the teacher's performance will increase by 0,497 points at a constant of 50,002. The value of R square is 0,333 meaning that there is an influence of Principal Leadership on Teacher Performance by 33,3% (b) The form of the relationship of teacher professional variables (X2) to teacher performance (Y) in the form of a regression equation Y = 65,455 + 0,529 X2. This means that if the Organizational Structure increases by 1 point, the teacher's performance will increase by 0.529 points at a constant of 65,455. The value of R square is 0,426, this means that there is an influence of teacher professional variables (X2) on teacher performance by 42,6% (c) The form of the relationship between work culture variables (X3) on teacher performance (Y) in the form of a regression equation Y = 65,455 + 0,306 X3. This means that if the organizational structure increases by 1 point, the teacher's performance will increase by 0.306 points at a constant of 65,455. So Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The value of R square is 0.175. This means that there is an influence of work culture (X3) on teacher performance of 17,5% (d) because Fcount Ftable or 16,633 2,790. The value of R square is 0.934, meaning that there is an effect of principal leadership, teacher professional and work culture together on teacher performance of 93,4% Ha accepted and Ho rejected.
