Abstract

This research activity aims to determine the different doses of husk biochar and biourine on the growth and production of rice plants. The activity was carried out in Bulubrangsi Village, Laren, Lamongan, from February to May 2022. The design is Factorial RAK. The first factor was the different doses of biochar husk consisting of control or without biochar, 5 t/ha, 10 t/ha. The second factor was the type of biourine which consisted of no biourine, cow biourine, goat biourine. There were 9 treatment combinations with 3 repetitions. In the vegetative phase observed plant height and number of leaves while the generative phase was plant wet weight, panicle length, dry seed weight, dry seed weight per plot, 1000 seed weight. Data processing was analyzed using ANOVA, if there is a significant difference then proceed with the BNT test. The conclusion showed that there was an interaction between the various doses of biochar and biourine treatments on plant height aged 14 and 28 days after planting, number of tillers aged 14 and 42 days after planting. panicle length ages 63, 70, 77, and 84 dap, as well as grain weight per 1000 seeds, fresh weight per plot, and fresh weight per hectare. The best treatment combination was rice husk biochar 10 t/ha and goat biourine.

Abstract

Cassava (Manihot esculenta L) is the main food besides rice and corn, has a strategic role as a food ingredient and industrial raw material as well as animal feed ingredients. The purpose of preparing this paper is to inform the implementation of agricultural technology innovations in supporting increased production and development of cassava plants in the city of Jambi. The results of the study show that Development of cassava in Jambi city has good prospects. There is support from the regional government in developing new areas that have the potential to increase production of cassava, food, feed ingredients and as an energy source. Implementation of innovations in cassava cultivation technology, inorganic and organic fertilization and grafting technology can increase cassava production.

Abstract

In Indonesia, rice (Oryza Sativa L.) has become an important and strategic livelihood. Decreasing soil fertility causes reduced rice production. The use of straw can increase the efficiency of using fertilizers (nitrogen), increase soil fertility through the provision of nutrients in particular (potassium), besides that it can improve the soil. The nutritional content of rice straw is 0.4% Nitrogen, 0.02% Phosphorus, 1.4% Potassium and 5.0% Silicon. This research was conducted in Bulubrangsi Village, Laren District, Lamongan Regency. From February to May 2022. The following research was carried out using the Factorial RAK (Randomized Block Design), which is composed of 2 aspects and each aspect consists of 3 levels. Through these 2 aspects, 9 treatment combinations were obtained and repeated 3 times. The indicators observed in the vegetative phase include: number of leaves and plant height. The indicators observed in the generative phase included: the number of panicles, the fresh weight of the plants, the length of the panicles, the weight of tons per hectare, the weight of 1000 seeds. The data obtained through observation is calculated using analysis of variance using Fisher's test (5% and 1 %) F-test, if there is a significant difference it can be continued using the Least Significant Difference test. The best results in this research were obtained from rice husk biochar and liquid smoke.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to ascertain how growth regulator concentration and type affect lime shoot cuttings (Citrus aurantifolia) growth. From November 2022 to February 2023, this study was carried out in Dusun III Pandanan Dukuh Biru RT 03/RW 01, Wonosari District, Klaten Regency, Central Java. At an elevation of about 118 meters above sea level, the research site is located. This study employed a CRD (completely randomized design) with two factors, namely three ZPT types at (Z1: extract of onions, Z2: coconut water, and Z3: IBA Chemical Hormones) and growth regulator concentrations (K1: 25%, K2: 50% , K3 : 75%). There were 108 experimental units totaling 36 with four replications and three sample plants each. The percentage of living cuttings, the age at which shoots appeared, the height of shoots, the number of leaves, the number of shoots, and root length were the parameters that were observed. used the One-Way ANOVA test of variance (Test F) at the levels of 5% and 1% to analyze the data. at a level of 5%, continued the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) examination. According to the findings of the research, the treatment of various types of PGR significantly affects the age of shoot emergence, plant height, and number of leaves. ZPT concentration had a significant impact on plant height and root length, but there was no significant interaction between the two in any of the observed parameters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the volume of water application and the composition of goat manure and urea on the growth and yield of sunggal rice varieties. This research was conducted in Kepuhan Hamlet, Argorejo Village, Sedayu District, Bantul Regency, DIY from September to December 2021. The experimental design in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. There are two factors consisting of the volume of water supply, namely: N1 (300 ml), N2 (600 ml), N3 (900) and the composition factor of goat manure: urea, namely: P1 {80% (31.4 g):20 % (7.85 g)}, P2 {50% (19.625 g):50% (19.625 g)} and P3 {20% (7.85 g):80%(31.4 g)}. There were two variables observed, namely growth variables including plant height, number of tillers, fresh weight of stover, and dry weight of stover and yield variables including number of panicles, panicle length, percentage of grain content, weight per 1000 grains, weight of grain per clump and weight of grain. contents per clump. Observational analysis used variance at a level of 5%, followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a level of = 5%. The results showed that the volume of water treatment and the composition of goat manure showed no interaction with all growth variables, but there was a significant difference in the fresh weight of the stover. Meanwhile, for the treatment variable, the volume of N1 water as much as 300 ml and the composition of goat manure and urea P2 50%:50% showed an interaction with the yield variable, namely weight of grain per clump and weight of filled grain per clump.

Abstract

Alternative growing media are needed to overcome the shortage of top soil which generally occurs in oil palm nursery. Organic waste such as vegetables, food and rice straw is one of the ingredients that can be used as a growing medium because it is easy to find and has a high nutrient content. These wastes need to be decomposed to make them more easily absorbed by plants, therefore it is necessary to add bioactivators such as Trichoderma sp. for speed up the decomposition process. The purpose of this study are to obtain alternative growing media for organic waste, determine its effect on oil palm seedlings, and determine the best growing media treatment. This research conducted at experiment areal in Cibitung, from November 2021 until August 2022. This research was arranged in non factorial block complete design with four treatments, consist of P0 (kontrol sub soil), P1 (50% vegetable waste+50% sub soil+Trichoderma sp.), P2 (50% food waste+50% sub soil+Trichoderma sp.) dan P3 (50 rice straw+50% sub soil + Trichoderma sp.). Every treatments repeated 3 times and have 3 samples, so there were 36 seeds. The data was analysis of variance, if test result was significant at 5%, then continued by BNT. The results showed that organic waste could be used as alternative growing media for oil palm nursery, and significantly effected to plant height (3 MAP), stem diameter (2 and 3 MAP), leaf area and biomass. The best treatment based on morphological and physiological response is rice straw and Trichoderma sp.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the plantation products that is highly recommended to be developed because it is able to become a source of state income and improve the economy where almost half a million Indonesians are entrepreneurs and coffee farmers. Heat is the process of transferring energy from a substance to another substance due to temperature differences. During this time, the coffee drying process is done in the traditional way. This drying process is not optimal because the temperature cannot be controlled properly, which affects the quality of the coffee. During rainy conditions, coffee is dried for a long time so that mold can occur. However, temperatures that are too high can also have a negative impact on coffee quality, especially on coffee aroma. The solution that can be done is to use a hybrid coffee drying machine. This study aims to analyze the effect of heat on the quality of coffee which in its production uses a hybrid coffee dryer. This research was conducted using the literature study method or literature study. The results showed that heat plays an important role in the quality of coffee quality in a hybrid coffee dryer. The quality of coffee depends on the temperature of the machine. The hybrid coffee drying machine is automatically designed where the temperature in the drying chamber is constant at the minimum temperature.

Abstract

Sweet corn productivity can be achieved by increasing land productivity which is supported by the suitability of land and climate conditions. The use of biological fertilizers and NPK fertilizers is an effort to increase land productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of biological fertilizers, NPK fertilizer doses, and interactions on the growth and yield of sweet corn. The research design used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The factors that were tried were the combination of biological fertilizers A and B (H1), A and C (H2), B and C (H3), A, B, and C (H4) and the dose of NPK fertilizer was 100% (D1), 75% ( D2), 50% (D3), 25% (D4) of the recommended dose. The results of this study are that the combination of several types of biological fertilizers has not been able to increase the growth and yield of sweet corn plants, presumably due to antagonistic competence between biological fertilizers and one another. The dose of NPK fertilizer 75% of the recommendations had the best results on sweet corn yields because a lower dose of NPK fertilizer was able to increase the yield of sweet corn.

Abstract

Domestic soybean production is weakened by the problem of drought stress that affects all aspects of plant growth and metabolism, while an alternative that can be used is the use of potassium. Potassium is believed to have an important role in increasing plant tolerance to drought. This study aims to examine the effect of potassium application on the physiological and morphological of drought-stressed soybean. The research was conducted in a plastic house in Aras Kabu Village, Beringin Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra using a group randomized design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was soil moisture condition consisting of 80% KL (field capacity) and 40% KL. The second factor was potassium fertilizer application of 100 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha, 300 kg/ha, and no potassium fertilizer. The observed variables were total sugar and leaf area. The results showed that the use of potassium can increase the value of total sugar and leaf area of drought-stressed soybean. Application of K dose of 100 kg/ha (0.5 g/polybag) is the most appropriate to encourage physiological and morphological drought stressed soybean plants.

Abstract

Agricultural development can be supported by agricultural innovation, through the development of modern agricultural clusters corporate farming (CF) based, it has been implemented by the Tani Mandiri Farmer Group Association in 2018 on 28 hectares of land belonging to 4 farmer groups. Corporate Farming implemented by Tani Mandiri farmer group is experimental independently, comes from the desire and willingness of farmers to be upgraded wich is jointly managed for the success of the full overlay mechanization program in 2015 on an area of 100 hectares. This study aims to 1) examine the use of full overlay mechanization in the implementation of CF attempt at Tani Mandiri Farmer Group Association and 2) examine management in the implementation of CF attempt at Tani Mandiri Farmer Group Association. The research was conducted using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and a case study research design. The results showed that Tani Mandiri Farmer Group Association adopted the concept of CF by adjusting to the capabilities of both in terms of agricultural production facilities and human resources, so that it could not be said that they had fully implemented the whole concept of CF.
