Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of 20 kV circuit breakers by analyzing insulation resistance, contact resistance, contact synchronization, leakage current, and power loss. The insulation resistance analysis indicated that phases R and S did not show significant improvement after maintenance, with significance values of 0.065 and 0.166, respectively, while phase T exhibited a significant improvement with a significance value of 0.048. Contact resistance measurements revealed no statistically significant reductions after maintenance, with significance values of 0.209, 0.243, and 0.155 for phases R, S, and T, respectively. Additionally, contact synchronization in the open condition did not experience significant variations, whereas in the closed condition, all phases showed significant declines in synchronization after maintenance, with significance values of 0.003, 0.013, and 0.007. Leakage current analysis at a 20 kV phase-to-ground voltage showed that the highest recorded leakage current was 0.297 mA in the Eks Sumberejo feeder, significantly below the 20 mA threshold. Power loss calculations identified the highest power dissipation in the Depati Hamzah feeder at 69.87 W, with the lowest in the Eks Transmart feeder at 0.376 W. Energy loss assessment further showed the Depati Hamzah feeder experiencing the highest loss at 48.317 kWh, while the Eks Transmart feeder had the lowest at 0.278 kWh. These findings underscore the importance of routine monitoring and targeted maintenance to enhance circuit breaker reliability, optimize operational efficiency, and minimize energy losses in high-voltage electrical networks.

Abstract

Ecosystem-based coastal protection offers a strategic approach to mitigating the impacts of climate change, particularly in small island contexts. This study integrates remote sensing and geospatial analysis to estimate blue carbon stocks in the mangrove ecosystems of Dompak Island, Tanjungpinang, using Google Earth Engine (GEE) and Sentinel-2 satellite imagery. Through the application of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and an empirical model for Above Ground Biomass (AGB), spatial carbon stock distributions were generated and classified into three functional zones: conservation, restoration, and critical protection. Results reveal that areas with moderate vegetation exhibit the highest carbon stock (32.00 tons/ha), suggesting ongoing biomass accumulation. This spatial analysis informs a zoning framework that supports ecosystem-based infrastructure planning. The integration of carbon mapping with adaptive civil engineering strategies demonstrates a scalable model for climate-resilient coastal development in vulnerable regions.

Abstract

The Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC) is an environmentally friendly solid-state cooling technology with wide application potential. This study aims to analyze the effect of voltage variation on the thermal performance of a TEC-based cooling system applied to a prototype cooling box. The methodology involved designing a system with eight symmetrically installed TEC units, tested at five voltage levels: 16 V, 18 V, 20 V, 22 V, and 24 V. Evaluated parameters included cold and hot side temperatures, heat absorbed (Qc), and Coefficient of Performance (COP). Experimental results revealed that increasing voltage up to 22 V significantly enhanced system efficiency, with the highest COP of 0.25 and maximum Qc of 5.24 W. However, at 24 V, performance declined due to excessive heat accumulation on the hot side of the TEC, exceeding heat dissipation capacity. In conclusion, an optimal input voltage of 22 V was identified to yield the most efficient cooling performance. These findings support the applicability of TEC technology for compact and sustainable cooling systems.

Abstract

This research aims to design and create a sms-based motor vehicle security system with an ATMega 8535 microcontroller. This research utilizes hand phone technology and microcontroller. Making this tool has an economical price to secure motorized vehicles. Important prototypes in making this tool are the ATMega 8535 microcontroller, GSM Modem and HP. In making this tool the first thing to make is to make a microcontroller program for the controller. Making this program uses CV Avr soft ware (Code Vision Avr). After the program is finished, the program is downloaded to the microcontroller. Control is done by the microcontroller when it gets input. The result of this research is to get a vehicle security system that is integrated by the ignition system on a motorcycle. The process of securing a motorized vehicle when it is stolen is, the security system will send sms information that the motorcycle is stolen, the alarm sounds and the ignition system is cut off. To turn off the alarm and start the motorcycle, the owner sends an SMS with the format *ALOF# to the security system and starts the motorcycle normally (Pull the front brake three times then position the key to ON mode).

Abstract

The current industrial revolution 4.0 has a major impact on the Indonesian economy, one of which is the emergence of startup business models. The current millennial generation is required to be able to innovate, collaborate and create new discoveries. The need for co-working space is important because it can accommodate these activities with its flexible and collaborative nature. Working indoors continuously for long periods of time can cause nature deficit disorders or reduce human well-being and can cause stress due to lack of interaction with nature. Biophilic design is a solution to reduce stress levels in workers because it has a positive impact on health. The basic concept of biophilic is to connect humans and nature in architecture. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection and data analysis techniques include observation, documentation and literature study through scientific references. The design of the co-working space in Bandar Lampung aims to provide a new space for the young generation to be creative, collaborate and create new discoveries supported by a biophilic approach to reduce user stress levels and support the creative process of innovation. The basic concept of biophilic is applied well in buildings by implementing 14 biophilic design patterns.
