Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive pop-up book media on food chain material to increase students' interest in learning in elementary schools. The background of the study is the low interest and active participation of students in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). The research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Pop-up book media is designed to visualize the concept of the food chain interactively and attractively. Validation was carried out by media, material, and language experts with very high results, 82%. The media was implemented through small 92% and large-scale trials 93% on grade V students. The results of the study showed that interactive pop-up book media is effective in increasing students' interest and understanding of food chain material. This study contributes to the development of innovative learning media that can change abstract concepts into concrete, engaging, and easy-to-understand ideas for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using interactive learning media in Pancasila education for fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Anturan Singaraja. The results of interviews and observations indicate that interactive media can enhance students' attention, engagement, and understanding compared to conventional methods. Visually and auditorily appealing animations help students connect theoretical concepts with everyday life, making learning more effective and enjoyable. However, challenges such as limited internet access and a lack of alignment between content and local culture hinder its optimal use. Therefore, recommended solutions include improving school network facilities, developing more contextually relevant learning media, and providing teacher training in creating interactive media. Additionally, university students as future educators are expected to master digital technology to create innovative teaching methods. Thus, the use of interactive learning media is expected to comprehensively improve the quality of Pancasila education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance student engagement in mathematics learning, particularly in fractions, for fifth-grade students at SDN Bendungan through the cooperative learning model Jigsaw. This classroom action research was conducted in three cycles involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed significant improvements in student engagement and learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average student engagement reached 65%, increasing to 85% in the third cycle. The Jigsaw model effectively enhanced motivation, student involvement in the learning process, and comprehension of fraction material. Therefore, implementing this model is recommended to improve the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Learning media is a tool used in the learning process to convey information to students with the hope that using learning media the learning process will run more systematically and can also solve problems in the learning process. The use of learning media that is still lacking is one of the factors that makes student learning outcomes less. This researcher aims to describe the use of interactive media find a partner on the learning outcomes of grade 4 students in Pancasila learning at UPT SD Negeri 238 Gresik. This method uses qualitative research, with the instrument that the way to use interactive media is to find questions by looking for the same images. Teacher activities in using this media starting from the opening, core and closing activities also run optimally and by using this interactive media, student learning outcomes increase by 90%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of monopoly learning media on the numeracy literacy skills of grade IV elementary school students and to describe the numeracy literacy skills of grade IV elementary school students after using monopoly learning media. This study uses 5 indicators to obtain maximum research results, the 5 indicators are using symbols and numbers in mathematics, analyzing information displayed in the form of graphs, tables, and charts, problem solving skills, learning media, and the advantages and disadvantages of monopoly learning media. The method used in this study is qualitative through a phenomenological approach. There are several data collection techniques used in this study, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used are observation sheets and interview sheets with informants. Then the data analysis is carried out through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the use of monopoly learning media on numeracy literacy skills has been carried out very well and the numeracy literacy skills of grade IV students, namely 12 students who have reached 4 indicators, but only 2 students have not reached the indicator because students are not yet fluent in reading and understanding story problems on the material of multiplication of whole numbers.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are essential competencies that students must possess to face the challenges of 21st-century life. Numeracy encompasses not only the ability to perform calculations but also includes conceptual understanding, application in real-life contexts, and data-driven decision-making. This article aims to explore in depth the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of prospective elementary school teachers in solving numeracy problems. The study seeks to examine the PCK of prospective elementary school teachers in the context of numeracy, focusing on cognitive analysis and decision-making in mathematical problem-solving. Using a qualitative exploratory approach, data were collected through numeracy tests and interviews with students enrolled in an elementary teacher education program (PGSD). The findings reveal that the PCK of prospective elementary school teachers in numeracy consists of four main components: content knowledge, knowledge of students, knowledge of instructional strategies, and contextual knowledge. Specifically, it was found that the prospective teachers have a solid understanding of basic numeracy concepts but face challenges in applying effective strategies to address student errors. The study recommends further development in teacher training, particularly in decision-making and the adaptation of instructional strategies to suit students’ characteristics.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement (Gerakan Literasi Sekolah) is a program developed by the Ministry of Education and Culture since 2016. One of the schools in Sumenep Regency that has implemented the GLS is SDN Kolor II, which was selected as the first cohort of PSP (Progran Sekolah Penggerak) in Sumenep. This research aims to examine the implementation of GLS at the habituation stage in SDN Kolor II, focusing specifically on classes IV A and IV B. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, following the research procedures outlined by Creswell. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is based on the Miles & Huberman model. The research involves the school principal, two fourth-grade teachers, and representatives from four fourth-grade students as informants. The results indicate that SDN Kolor II has successfully implemented GLS at the habituation stage through activities that include: 1) Singing the Indonesian national anthem and selected songs. 2) Reading storybooks. 3) Writing compositions. 4) "Adu Cerdas" (Smart Competition). 5) "Sabtu Ekspresi" (Expression Saturday). 6) Organizing a literacy-rich environment. Therefore, it can be concluded that SDN Kolor II, particularly in the fourth grade, has effectively implemented GLS at the habituation stage.
