Abstract

Students’ understanding of reaction rate concepts in madrasah aliyah remains low due to learning practices that emphasize rote memorization rather than critical and practical thinking. This paper explores the effectiveness of applying the Problem-Based Learning model in conjunction with STEM principles in fostering deep learning among students on the topic of reaction rates. This study employed a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control-group design. This study involved 68 students from MAN 1 Kota Malang, with 34 assigned to the experimental group (class XI-G) and 34 to the control group (class XI-F). Data collection involved pretests and posttests comprising five-option multiple-choice questions, as well as classroom observations and analysis of student reflection journals. The findings revealed a notable disparity in academic performance between the treatment and comparison groups. The treatment group achieved an average posttest score of 77.33, with an N-Gain of 0.58, placing it in the moderate category. In contrast, the comparison group obtained an average score of 56.67, with a lower N-Gain of 0.28, which was categorized as low. Observational and reflective data indicated that learners in the treatment group were more active, collaborative, and able to transfer concepts to real-world contexts. A key innovation of this study is the structured implementation of the PBL-STEM model, which not only improves cognitive achievement but also fosters deep learning through contextual learning experiences, collaborative projects, and reflective thinking. This model proves to be effective in chemistry instruction aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum.   Abstrak Pemahaman siswa terhadap materi laju reaksi di madrasah aliyah masih tergolong rendah karena pembelajaran cenderung berfokus pada hafalan rumus tanpa memberikan ruang untuk berpikir kritis dan aplikatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi seberapa efektif penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan STEM pada pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) siswa pada topik laju reaksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Sampel penelitian mencakup siswa kelas XI di MAN 1 Kota Malang, dengan XI-F sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI-G sebagai kelas eksperimen, masing-masing berjumlah 34 siswa.Data dikumpulkan melalui pemberian pretest dan posttest dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda lima opsi, serta melalui teknik observasi dan penulisan jurnal refleksi. Penelitian ini menemukan perbedaan nyata dalam capaian pembelajaran antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Nilai rerata posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 77,33 dengan peningkatan N-Gain 0,58 (kategori sedang), sementara kelas kontrol menunjukkan rata-rata 56,67 dan N-Gain 0,28 (kategori rendah). Data observasi dan refleksi memberi gambaran bahwasanya siswa pada kelompok eksperimen lebih aktif, kolaboratif, dan mampu mentransfer konsep ke situasi nyata. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan sistematis langkah-langkah PBL-STEM yang tidak hanya meningkatkan capaian kognitif, tetapi juga membentuk proses deep learning melalui pengalaman belajar kontekstual, proyek kolaboratif, dan refleksi mendalam. Model ini efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kimia berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) presents significant opportunities for teachers to enhance their scientific writing skills. Nevertheless, optimal use of AI remains limited by insufficient digital literacy, technical proficiency, and understanding of ethical considerations. To address these challenges, this study investigates the demand for scientific writing training that incorporates AI and identifies barriers to its effective implementation. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilising questionnaires with 135 teachers and interviews with 8 to 10 teachers. The findings revealed that 53% of participants require structured training encompassing writing practice, reflective activities, mastery of key concepts, and the integration of AI in scientific article preparation. To frame these results, the study draws on three theoretical frameworks: experiential learning theory, with 71.25% of responses rated as high; adult learning theory (andragogy), with 83.33% of responses rated as very high; and Asilomar AI theory, with 81.81% of responses rated as very high. In particular, key challenges identified include risks of plagiarism, concerns about data accuracy, limited contextual understanding, and issues related to academic ethics. In response, the study proposes a comprehensive training model that integrates experience-based learning, andragogical principles, and AI ethics.   Abstrak Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan memberikan peluang baru bagi guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penulisan karya ilmiah, namun pemanfaatannya belum optimal akibat keterbatasan literasi digital, keterampilan teknis, dan pemahaman etis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan pelatihan penulisan ilmiah dengan pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dalam praktiknya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan campuran dengan melibatkan 135 guru melalui angket dan 8-10 guru melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru dengant presentase 53% sangat membutuhkan pelatihan terstruktur yang mencakup praktik menulis, refleksi, penguasaan konsep, dan integrasi kecerdasan buatan dalam praktik menulis artikel ilmiah. Penelitian ini didasari tiga teori yaitu (1) teori pembelajaran eksperiensial dengan hasil rekapituliasi tanggapan responden berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan persentase bobot 71,25%, (2) terori pempelajaran orang dewasa: andragogi dengan hasil rekapituliasi tanggapan responden berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, dengan persentase bobot 83,33%, dan (3) teori Asilomar artificial intelligence dengan hasil rekapituliasi tanggapan responden berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, dengan persentase bobot 81,81%. Adapun tantangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi responden meliputi risiko plagiarisme, akurasi data, pemahaman konteks, serta isu etika akademik. Penelitian ini menawarkan kerangka baru dengan mengintegrasikan teori pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, prinsip andragogi, dan prinsip etika kecerdasan buatan untuk merancang model pelatihan yang lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

This research departs from the need to develop the competence of widyaiswara, which has emphasised hard skills, while the soft skills aspect has not received adequate attention. The Qur'an provides a clear foundation for the development of soft skills in the form of praiseworthy qualities or morals that must be owned and continuously developed. These characters include consistency (istiqomah), humility (tawadhu'), sincerity, integrity, and an attitude of iḥsān (doing good). This competency is intended for widyaiswara to develop a stable, wise, mature, and authoritative character and to serve as a role model for students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach. The data sources are taken from verses of the Qur'an related to the development of soft skills, supported by interpretations from various books of interpretation, spanning styles, periods, and schools of thought. This study concludes that the strategy of developing widyaiswara soft skill competencies according to the Qur'an can be realised through tadzkirah (reminder), uswah ḥasanah (exemplary) and ihsan. Tadzkirah is done through routine recitation or discussion of Qur'anic values; uswah ḥasanah is implemented through good example or noble character; ihsan is realised through good behaviour in social and professional interactions. This research emphasises that soft skills are the primary foundation that strengthens hard skills, in line with the views of classical scholars and modern research, which states that the mastery of strong soft skills largely determines professional success.

Abstract

This article describes a best practice implemented by a Raudhatul Athfal (RA) madrasah supervisor in providing managerial mentoring to RA principals, particularly in strengthening data-driven program planning through the Continuous Learning Survey System (Sistem Survei Lingkungan Belajar/Sulingjar). The ability of RA principals to develop data-based planning is a critical factor in creating a well-organized, productive, and innovative madrasah working environment. This mentoring activity involved 25 RA-level madrasahs located across three sub-districts in East Jakarta under the author’s supervision. The study employed a mixed-methods survey design. Data were collected through document analysis, observations, in-depth interviews, and reflections on the mentoring outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative techniques. The analysis results served as the basis for grouping the supervised madrasahs into four mentoring categories. Each group received managerial mentoring using the Coaching, Facilitating, and Consulting (CFC) approach, tailored to the level of readiness and commitment to change demonstrated by the RA principals. The findings indicate that 95.7% of RA principals gained a greater understanding of the importance of data-driven program planning. Follow-up mentoring focused on the preparation of the Commitment to Change (KOM), the Annual Work Plan (RKT), and the Madrasah Work and Budget Plan (RKAM). This best practice demonstrates that systematic, data-driven managerial mentoring strengthens RA principals' managerial competencies.   Abstrak Artikel ini mendeskripsikan praktik baik (best practice) yang dilakukan oleh pengawas madrasah jenjang Raudhatul Athfal (RA) dalam melaksanakan pendampingan manajerial kepada kepala RA, khususnya dalam penguatan perencanaan program berbasis data melalui Sulingjar. Kemampuan kepala RA dalam menyusun perencanaan berbasis data merupakan faktor penting dalam mewujudkan lingkungan kerja madrasah yang tertata, produktif, dan inovatif. Kegiatan pendampingan ini melibatkan 25 madrasah jenjang RA yang tersebar di tiga kecamatan wilayah Jakarta Timur di bawah binaan penulis. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan desain survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumen, observasi, wawancara mendalam, serta refleksi hasil pendampingan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menjadi dasar pengelompokan madrasah binaan ke dalam empat kelompok pendampingan. Setiap kelompok memperoleh pendampingan manajerial menggunakan pendekatan Coaching, Facilitating, dan Consulting (CFC) yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat kesiapan dan komitmen perubahan kepala RA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 95,7% kepala RA mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terhadap pentingnya perencanaan program berbasis data. Tindak lanjut pendampingan difokuskan pada penyusunan Komitmen Perubahan (KOM), Rencana Kerja Tahunan (RKT), dan Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Madrasah (RKAM). Praktik baik ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan manajerial yang sistematis dan berbasis data berkontribusi positif terhadap penguatan kompetensi manajerial kepala RA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in training by conducting a bibliometric analysis of scientific article publications from 2021 to 2025. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis via bibliometric mapping with VOSviewer and qualitative analysis through a systematic review of relevant literature. A total of 987 articles were analyzed to identify research trends, dominant themes, and factors influencing the successful implementation of PjBL in training contexts. The results showed a significant increase in publications on PjBL, with a focus on teacher training, vocational education, technology-based learning, and professional skills development. The bibliometric analysis produced five main clusters that indicate strong interrelations among the concepts of “model”, “PjBL”, “training program”, “AI integration”, and “competence”. Implementation barriers include institutional limitations, lack of evaluation standards, and challenges in participant motivation, while success factors include institutional support, facilitator competence, participant engagement, and a conducive learning environment. Practical implications emphasize the importance of strengthening digital infrastructure, developing data-driven curricula, and strategic partnerships to optimize future training implementation.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dalam pelatihan dengan melakukan analisis bibliometrik terhadap publikasi artikel ilmiah tahun 2021–2025. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods yang menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif berupa pemetaan bibliometrik melalui VOSviewer dan analisis kualitatif melalui kajian sistematis terhadap literatur relevan. Sebanyak 987 artikel  dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, tema dominan, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan penerapan PjBL dalam konteks pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah publikasi terkait PjBL dengan fokus pada pelatihan guru, pendidikan vokasi, pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, dan pengembangan keterampilan profesional. Analisis bibliometrik menghasilkan lima klaster utama yang menunjukkan saling terkait erat antara konsep “model”, “PjBL”, “training program”, “AI integration”, dan “competence”. Hambatan implementasi mencakup keterbatasan kelembagaan, kurangnya standar evaluasi, dan tantangan motivasi peserta, sedangkan faktor keberhasilan meliputi dukungan institusional, kompetensi fasilitator, keterlibatan peserta, serta lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Implikasi praktisnya menekankan pentingnya penguatan infrastruktur digital, pengembangan kurikulum berbasis data, dan kemitraan strategis untuk mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan pelatihan di masa depan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by problems in the implementation of the duties of equalization officials within the Ministry of Religious Affairs in West Kalimantan, at IAIN Pontianak, and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in West Kalimantan Province. The analysis is based on Hoogerwerf's four aspects that contribute to policy implementation failure: policy content, level of information received by actors, policy support, and distribution of potential. This research used a qualitative methodology, with data collected through focus group discussions and interviews. The findings reveal several issues: in the policy content aspect, there exists a competency gap among officials, and performance appraisals frequently do not align with their actual job roles. Furthermore, the information officials receive is often suboptimal. Policy support is adequate, but there is an income gap, and competency test requirements, formation, and job training constrain promotions. Lastly, the distribution of potential among officials indicates that many are still predominantly performing administrative tasks, which align more with general organizational duties. Based on these insights, the research offers several recommendations: first, the redistribution of officials to appropriate functional units should be prioritized, alongside implementing dynamic work systems, diversifying functional job descriptions to match organizational duties better, and facilitating strategic job transfers. Secondly, competency gaps must be addressed through continuous improvement. Thirdly, a comprehensive restructuring of functional positions by the fostering agency, BKN, and Kemenpan RB is crucial to establishing career certainty and ensuring welfare equality. Finally, it is recommended that functional officials consistently perform tasks aligning with their specific functional job descriptions.   Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi problematika pelaksanaan tugas pejabat penyetaraan pada Kementerian Agama di Kalimantan Barat, khususnya di IAIN Pontianak dan Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Analisis penelitian ini didasarkan pada empat aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Hoogerwerf yang berkontribusi terhadap kegagalan implementasi kebijakan: isi kebijakan, tingkat informasi yang diterima oleh aktor, dukungan kebijakan, dan distribusi potensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui diskusi kelompok terfokus dan wawancara. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan beberapa isu: pada aspek isi kebijakan, terdapat kesenjangan kompetensi di antara pejabat, dan penilaian kinerja sering kali tidak sejalan dengan tugas jabatan yang seharusnya. Selain itu, Tingkat informasi yang diterima oleh pejabat sering kali tidak optimal. Dukungan kebijakan sudah memadai, tetapi terdapat kesenjangan pendapatan dan promosi terhambat oleh persyaratan uji kompetensi, formasi, dan pelatihan jabatan. Terakhir, distribusi potensi diantara pejabat menunjukkan bahwa banyak dari mereka masih menjalankan tugas administratif yang lebih sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsi organisasi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, penelitian ini menawarkan beberapa rekomendasi: pertama, redistribusi pejabat ke unit fungsional yang sesuai harus diprioritaskan bersamaan dengan penerapan sistem kerja yang dinamis, mendiversifikasi uraian pekerjaan fungsional agar lebih sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsi organisasi, atau memfasilitasi mutasi ke jabatan lain yang sesuai kompetensi. Kedua, kesenjangan kompetensi harus ditangani melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan. Ketiga, restrukturisasi menyeluruh terhadap posisi fungsional oleh instansi pembina, BKN dan Kemenpan RB sangat penting untuk menetapkan kepastian karier dan memastikan kesetaraan kesejahteraan. Akhirnya, disarankan agar pejabat fungsional secara konsisten melaksanakan tugas yang sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsi jabatan fungsional.
