Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of music tempo on work productivity and the level of cognitive failure among employees in the fabrication division of PT. Adi Joyo Kusumo. Music is used as an intervention to address boredom and stress caused by monotonous work. This research employs the Cognitive Failure Questionnaire (CFQ) method distributed to 12 employees, and observations were made on production quantities over seven days under three conditions: without music, fast tempo music, and slow tempo music. The results indicate that fast tempo music yields the highest productivity level with a total production of 26 units, followed by the no music condition (23 units) and slow tempo music (21 units). Validity tests show that all CFQ items are valid, and reliability tests yield a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.921, indicating reliability. ANOVA tests show a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and an F value of 17.078, indicating a significant effect of music tempo on cognitive failure levels. Although fast tempo music can enhance work performance, the noise level reached 89 dB, disturbing other divisions. This study concludes that fast tempo music can be used as a productivity enhancement strategy, provided that noise levels are controlled to avoid negative impacts on other work environments.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) as an instrument of Indonesian cultural diplomacy in Japan in the period 2014-2025. Using a qualitative approach with case studies, this study examines how PSHT has succeeded in becoming an intercultural bridge that strengthens Indonesia's soft power through the spread of pencak silat. The results show that the special Japanese branch of PSHT, which was officially established in 2017 in Osaka, has experienced significant growth with the number of members reaching 412 in 2018 and continuing to grow until 2025. PSHT's cultural diplomacy strategy of combining pencak silat with the Reog Ponorogo performance has proven effective in attracting the interest of the Japanese people, including indigenous people who actively join as members. PSHT's success is supported by the synergy between state actors such as the Indonesian Consulate General in Osaka and the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo with the Indonesian diaspora community and non-governmental organizations. PSHT's participation in various prestigious events such as UNESCO and the Indonesia-Japan Friendship Festival, as well as the holding of the PSHT Japan Cup, proves the effectiveness of pencak silat as a medium of cultural diplomacy that is able to transcend geographical and cultural boundaries. This study concludes that PSHT has succeeded in creating a positive image of Indonesia as a country with high-value cultural wealth, while strengthening the foundation of Indonesia-Japan bilateral relations through an authentic and sustainable people-to-people connection approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of formulating public policies based on local traditions implemented through Paruman in Bayung Gede Traditional Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali Province. Paruman was chosen as the object of research because it is a traditional deliberation forum that still exists and is used in making decisions on village development. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through literature studies and field studies in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by referring to the stages of public policy formulation. The results of the study indicate that the existence of Paruman is influenced by internal factors of the indigenous community and external factors from the government. The implementation of Paruman has similarities with village deliberations in general, but differs in terms of the basis for decision-making that refers to local customary values and traditions. Paruman in Bayung Gede Village has fulfilled the stages of policy formulation, starting from identifying problems, setting agendas, selecting alternatives, to making decisions. The conclusion of this study shows that the formulation of public policies based on local traditions through Paruman in Bayung Gede Traditional Village uses a participatory and contextual deliberative model with the cultural values of the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the business communication strategy of the Sragen Regency Government in building multi-sector collaboration for community economic empowerment as an effort to address extreme poverty. The research method used is a case study with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, non-participatory observation on the implementation of the Village Completed Poverty program, and analysis of policy documents and program reports. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis to identify patterns of business communication strategies, while data validity is strengthened by triangulation from various sources. The results of the study indicate that the implemented business communication strategy is based on the principles of two-way communication, openness, and transparency carried out through formal forums and direct interactions with the community. Cross-sector collaboration involves regional apparatus organizations, village governments, the business world, the private sector through social responsibility programs, and philanthropic institutions with mutual cooperation support. The implementation of this strategy is able to strengthen the Village Completed Poverty program by providing business capital assistance, skills training, the provision of productive tools, and facilitation of education and basic infrastructure. The research findings show a significant decrease in the number of extremely poor families in the target villages and an increase in the economic independence of the beneficiary community. The conclusion of this study is that the success of economic empowerment and extreme poverty alleviation in Sragen Regency is very much determined by the optimization of business communication strategies that build trust, participation, and synergy between stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the orchestration capacity of local government agencies in Gorontalo Regency in integrating community aspirations into development planning. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, document reviews, and focus group discussions involving officials, community representatives, and local stakeholders. The analysis focused on three main dimensions, namely technical, analytical, and communication capacity. The findings indicate that capacity fragmentation remains the main obstacle, as agencies with strong technical competence often show weaknesses in analytical ability, while those excelling in public communication tend to be weak in technical aspects. On average, only eighteen to twenty percent of community aspirations are accommodated in the regional budget, reflecting the dominance of sectoral programs, limited fiscal space, and weak inter-agency coordination. These challenges are further reinforced by regulatory frameworks that remain top-down, limiting regional flexibility to adapt policies to local needs. Nevertheless, the study identifies strategic opportunities to strengthen orchestration through the utilization of information technology to enhance transparency, accelerate data flows, improve policy integration, and expand public participation. Additional strategies include developing human resource capacity, promoting evidence-based planning, establishing IT-based coordination forums, and introducing regulations that are more adaptive to local contexts. The study concludes that strengthening orchestration should not be seen merely as an administrative process but as a transformative strategy to realize inclusive, responsive, and sustainable regional development governance.

Abstract

This study examines human development from an Islamic perspective by employing a qualitative literature review approach to synthesize classical and contemporary scholarly discussions. Human development is understood not merely as a biological or psychological process, but as a holistic and purposeful progression encompassing physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. In contrast to dominant Western developmental theories that often prioritize empirical and value-neutral explanations, Islamic thought conceptualizes development as a morally oriented journey guided by divine purpose and ethical responsibility. Data were collected from peer-reviewed journals, academic books, and authoritative Islamic scholarship relevant to psychology, human development, and religious studies. The selected literature was analysed using qualitative content analysis to identify recurring themes, conceptual frameworks, and interpretative differences among scholars. The findings indicate that Islamic perspectives emphasize the integration of bodily growth, intellectual maturity, and spiritual consciousness, with development evaluated not solely by age but by readiness, moral accountability, and social responsibility. Human development is framed as a continuous process directed toward the formation of ethically grounded individuals capable of fulfilling their roles within society. This study further reveals that Islamic developmental thought highlights normative objectives such as moral discipline, self-awareness, and stewardship, which are often underexplored in conventional psychological models. By articulating these dimensions, the study contributes to the enrichment of developmental psychology through a value-based and holistic framework. The findings offer theoretical insights that may inform future research, as well as practical implications for education, counselling, and human development programs that seek to integrate psychological growth with ethical and spiritual values.

Abstract

This study examines the legacy of Ibn Sina’s psychological thought and its significance for the development of Islamic psychology through a historical philosophical literature review. As one of the most influential Muslim philosophers of the Islamic Golden Age, Ibn Sina developed a comprehensive theory of the soul (al-nafs) that integrates intellectual, emotional, and moral dimensions of human existence. Drawing primarily on his major works, including Kitab al-Nafs, Al-Shifa’, and Al-Najat, this research analyzes how his conceptualization of the vegetative, sensitive, and rational aspects of the soul provides a holistic framework for understanding human psychology. The study employs thematic content analysis to identify key psychological concepts in Ibn Sina’s writings and to examine their reinterpretation in contemporary scholarship on Islamic psychology. The findings indicate that Ibn Sina’s thought offers an alternative epistemological foundation to reductionist psychological paradigms by emphasizing the immaterial nature of consciousness, the central role of reason, and the ethical orientation of mental life. At the same time, the study highlights the need for critical engagement with his ideas to avoid anachronistic or normative applications in modern psychological practice. Overall, the research demonstrates that Ibn Sina’s psychological framework remains theoretically relevant for contemporary Islamic psychology, particularly in efforts to develop culturally grounded and ethically sensitive approaches to mental health and human development. This study contributes to the ongoing reconstruction of Islamic psychology by clarifying the philosophical roots of the discipline and by positioning Ibn Sina’s legacy as a valuable intellectual resource for future theoretical and interdisciplinary research.
