Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between product completion time and production costs and production capacity in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) furniture in Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency. The background of this study is based on the problem of delays in product completion that impact the income and competitiveness of furniture SMEs. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with the Job Order Costing method as an analytical tool, as well as triangulation techniques in data collection through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the efficiency of completion time is greatly influenced by the management of production costs and available capacity. High production costs, lack of equipment, and limited labor cause longer processing times. In addition, low cost capacity also hampers the production process due to limited raw materials and supporting equipment. This study is expected to be a reference in strategic decision-making for furniture SMEs to increase productivity and business competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication strategies of agitation and propaganda employed in the political campaign of DPR RI Member M.F. during the 2024 Legislative Election. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted in North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The primary informant of this study is M.F., who served as a Member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) for the 2019–2024 period. The key informant is M.A., the head of M.F.’s campaign team, while supporting informants include I.P.I., the Regent of North Luwu (2016–2024), and H.S.E., the Speaker of the North Luwu Regional House of Representatives (2025–2029). The findings reveal that M.F. and his team consistently applied agitation communication strategies during limited face-to-face campaign events across multiple locations in the electoral district. In addition, five out of Harold D. Lasswell’s seven propaganda techniques were identified in the campaign: Glittering Generalities, Transfer, Testimonial, Plain Folks, and Card Stacking. These strategies were instrumental in mobilizing public awareness, shaping political attitudes, and encouraging voters to reject money politics while prioritizing candidates’ track records.

Abstract

Fashion as a form of political communication during the 2024 Presidential Election in Indonesia, this study aims to explore how fashion was utilized as a medium of political communication by the presidential and vice-presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, with a focus on the visual representations displayed through the social media platform Instagram. In this context, fashion is not merely seen as a matter of clothing style, but as a set of signs that carry political, symbolic, and ideological meanings. This research employs a qualitative method through a literature study by analyzing various scholarly sources and visual documentation obtained from the official Instagram account @prabowo.gibran2. The theoretical framework is based on Roland Barthes’ semiotic theory, which outlines the process of meaning-making through three key stages: denotation (literal meaning), connotation (cultural meaning), and myth (the underlying ideological narrative within signs). The findings reveal that the fashion choices worn by Prabowo-Gibran during the campaign conveyed strong nonverbal political messages. For instance, Prabowo’s signature militaristic style constructed an image of firmness and nationalism. Meanwhile, Gibran’s light blue varsity jacket adorned with anime motifs highlighted youth identity and a non-conventional approach to politics. Most iconically, the frequent use of light blue shirts and casual clothing represented simplicity, a sense of closeness to the people, and youthful energy. These meanings were visually constructed and consistently repeated across various posts, forming a political myth that portrayed Prabowo-Gibran as an ideal duo combining seasoned leadership with youthful vigor.

Abstract

Reusable diapers are becoming an increasingly popular eco-friendly option, but the industry faces challenges in maintaining product quality for customer satisfaction. This study analyzes and improves the quality of reusable diapers using the Six Sigma method using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. In the Define stage, quality issues are identified through customer complaints and product inspections. The Measure stage involves collecting defect data and analyzing it using control charts. The Analyze stage utilizes Fishbone Diagrams and FMEA to identify the root causes of defects. In the Improve stage, production process improvements are made, including raw material control and standard work procedures. The Control stage ensures continuous improvement through the implementation of SOPs and regular monitoring. The results show a DPMO value of 28,577 with a sigma level of 3.41, meaning that out of 1,000,000 products, there are potentially 28,577 defects. The implementation of Six Sigma has proven effective in improving the quality of reusable

Abstract

Authoritatian leadership as a way to push others to do something within a group to achieve a goal. The main objective of this study is to identify trends and directions in research on leadership authority in organizations through a systematic review of previous studies using bibliometrics analysis. In addition, this study also identifies key topic clusters and explores research trends from recent years. The sample used consists of 593 articles sourced from the Scopus and Crossref databates, obtained through the Publish or Perish software and analyzed using VOSviewer. The analysis results reveal that nine clusters were identified, with authority and leadership emerging as the most dominant topics. However, to support the novelty of the research, several supporting factors related to leadership authority are needed, such as connections to educations aspect, healthcare and leadership transformation, which are among the most frequantly studied aspects of leadership authority. Research trends over the years show a shift in focus from the theoretical framework of leadership authority. The analysis of research opportunities indicates that there is still ample room for further studies, especially on how theory relates to practice and how leadership systems, including authoritarian leadership styles are implemented. Overall, this analysis offers a comprehensive perspective and provides new directions for future research, contributing to the development of more sustainable and efficient solutions.

Abstract

Evacuation routes are a vital element in regional planning, particularly in densely populated urban areas prone to earthquakes and fires. High-density areas often face constraints such as limited space, poor road connectivity, potential congestion, and minimal disaster risk mapping. This complexity increases when comparing heterogeneous public areas with residential areas with a more homogeneous social character. This study aims to trace the development of evacuation route and assembly point planning concepts and identify their correlations through bibliometric mapping. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of international and national journals published in the last 10 years. The study results identified four main concepts: participatory, risk perception, agent, and activity. Of these, the participatory and risk perception concepts are considered the most relevant. The risk perception concept is effectively applied in public areas to increase awareness and preparedness, while the participatory concept is appropriate in residential areas because it directly involves the community in planning. The integration of the two is expected to produce an evacuation strategy that is adaptive, applicable, and oriented towards public safety.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of empowerment, work environment, and rewards on employee performance with employee engagement as an intervening variable in PT Berkarya Putra Inovasi. The research method used was quantitative with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 128 employee respondents. The results of the study showed that empowerment does not have a significant effect on employee performance, but it has a significant effect on employee engagement. Work environment and rewards have been proven to have a significant effect on employee engagement and employee performance. Furthermore, employee engagement has a significant influence on employee performance and can be an intervening variable that strengthens the influence of empowerment, work environment, and rewards on performance. The implications of the research show the importance of companies in strengthening empowerment strategies, creating a conducive work environment, and providing fair rewards
