Abstract

The use of games today is no longer limited to mere entertainment; the function of games has expanded into sports and business. One unique aspect of games in the business world is the existence of game accounts with significant economic value. Several factors, including quality, demand, and the rarity of items within the account, influence the economic value of a game account. In its development, game accounts are no longer limited to buying and selling; recently, a business entity has utilized game accounts as collateral. This requires further examination from the property law perspective and relevant security law regarding online game accounts. This study employs a normative legal research method with a statutory approach, utilizing legal regulations and academic articles as sources of law. The research findings indicate that the owner of an online game account is merely a possessor and does not possess property rights over the account itself, as property rights are inherently tied to ownership. Ownership remains solely with the game developer/publisher, while the player only obtains a license. It is crucial to be aware of the legal limitations, as the nature of the account transfer agreement is invalid because it does not comply with the fourth element of Article 1320 of the Indonesian Civil Code, so any agreement intended to transfer an account is deemed null and void. The pawn scheme from @sytnaxgadaigame is invalid because it does not meet the principles of Security Law.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of credit policy on the financial performance of national banking companies in Indonesia, focusing on how credit policies influence factors such as profitability, financial stability, and liquidity. A quantitative approach is used in this research, with secondary data obtained from published financial reports of national banks, as well as data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Bank Indonesia (BI). The data analysis technique employed is linear regression to examine the relationship between credit policy and financial ratios, including Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and the Operating Expenses to Operating Income ratio (BOPO) over the period 2015–2022. The results show that the credit policies implemented by banks have a significant impact on profitability, with an average ROA of 2.4% and ROE reaching 12.5%. Moreover, poor credit risk management was found to increase the NPL ratio to 3.2% and lower the banks’ financial performance. Meanwhile, a positive relationship between sound credit risk management and bank liquidity can be observed through the BOPO ratio, which stands at around 75%, indicating operational efficiency. Based on these findings, it is recommended that banks improve their credit risk policies to enhance their performance and financial stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze work engagement among staff of the Central Sulawesi Broadcasting Commission, a public agency responsible for broadcast oversight. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observations over six months with five purposively selected informants from a total of ten staff members. Data analysis followed an interactive model involving data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that factors such as simple appreciation, access to modern technology, and participation in special events like elections enhance vigor. Dedication is driven by pride and meaningful work, while absorption is influenced by task urgency, the work environment, and physical condition. The study concludes that both tangible incentives and intangible motivators significantly impact work engagement. It emphasizes the importance of effective workload management and a supportive environment to sustain motivation. Recommendations include improving human resource policies and expanding research scope to include multiple locations and mixed methods for a comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This research investigates the effects of incentives, motivation, and leadership on sales improvement, considering employee performance as a mediating variable, within the context of CV. Sendy Leather. A quantitative research design was applied, employing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method through SmartPLS 4 software. The study involved 44 participants from both the production and marketing departments. Findings reveal that incentives and leadership significantly impact employee performance, whereas motivation does not. Moreover, only performance demonstrates a significant direct effect on the improvement of sales. The direct influence of incentives, motivation, and leadership on sales was found to be statistically insignificant. Additionally, the mediation analysis indicates that employee performance does not significantly mediate the relationship between the independent variables and sales improvement. The values obtained from R-square, Q-square, F-square, and path coefficient assessments highlight that employee performance plays a central role in enhancing sales outcomes.

Abstract

The phenomenon of vigilantism (eigenrichting) resulting in death reflects a failure in the formal legal system and the rise of revenge practices in society. This research uses a normative juridical method that focuses on the analysis of positive legal norms. Data were collected from various written sources, including legislation, court decisions, legal doctrine, legal theories, and the views of legal experts. The analysis was conducted qualitatively using a descriptive approach to interpret the meaning and information contained in documents, media reports, and newspaper archives. The analysis found that low legal understanding, socio-economic inequality, and a crisis of judicial legitimacy are the main triggers for vigilante behavior. The impacts are clear: loss of life, weakened public trust in legal institutions, and increased social insecurity. Recommendations include transparent and professional law enforcement, early legal education, improving socio-economic conditions, and implementing restorative justice principles to prevent revenge-based violence.

Abstract

The contemporary era faces a profound crisis of identity and meaning, often characterized by nihilism, which challenges individuals to forge personal meaning in a world increasingly devoid of inherent value. This study investigates the genealogy of Friedrich Nietzsche's thought on authentic life, comparing it with the Islamic concept of Insan Kamil within the Sufi tradition to address modern alienation. Adopting a qualitative library research design, the study uses interpretation and comparative analysis of primary philosophical and key Islamic literature. This method enables in-depth examination of their conceptual convergences and divergences. The research finds that despite distinct ontological foundations, both Nietzsche's Ubermensch and the Islamic Insan Kamil emphasize self-examination, conscious living, and the active creation of meaning. Nietzsche's critique of inherited morality resonates with Islamic teachings against blind imitation and hypocrisy, while his call for authentic self-assertion parallels Sufi principles of ego-struggle and spiritual purification. This comparative analysis offers novel frameworks for understanding and potentially mitigating contemporary issues like burnout, toxic positivity, and spiritual emptiness. The study concludes that both philosophies provide robust pathways toward genuine authenticity and purpose, underscoring the urgent need for conscious, responsible living in a rapidly changing world.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of research on inclusive tourism communication in Indonesia over the past decade (2014–2024) using a bibliometric approach. Data were obtained from the Scopus database using the keywords "tourism," "inclusive," "accessibility," "special needs," "disability," and "Indonesia." Visualization results using VOSviewer show an increasing publication trend since 2018, dominated by keywords such as tourism, Indonesia, accessibility, and disability, indicating a research focus on accessibility and social justice issues in the tourism sector. Publications are dominated by scientific articles and conference proceedings, while institutional contributions are still concentrated in several major universities in Indonesia. This analysis reveals the potential for strengthening cross-institutional and cross-disciplinary collaboration to support the development of more inclusive and sustainable tourism in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer loyalty towards Kopi Tuku through three main variables, namely brand awareness, brand experience, and brand engagement. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consist of six consumers who have consistently purchased Kopi Tuku for the past two years. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Kopi Tuku's brand awareness is not only formed from visual recognition such as logos or packaging but has reached the highest level, namely top of mind. Brand experience is felt through sensory, affective, intellectual, and behavioral dimensions, making Kopi Tuku not only a beverage provider but also part of the consumers’ routines and identities. Meanwhile, brand engagement is reflected in strong emotional involvement, repeated purchasing habits, participation in trying new products, and ownership of merchandise. This study emphasizes that consumer loyalty towards Kopi Tuku is not solely built on product quality or price but through the synergy between brand awareness, brand experience, and brand engagement, which creates a personal and emotional connection between consumers and the brand.

Abstract

This study explores the Wurumana institution within the Lio ethnic community of Maurole Village, East Nusa Tenggara, using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The research identifies three main functions of Wurumana: (1) fulfilling bridewealth obligations (belis), facilitating collective resource mobilization for marriage payments; (2) reinforcing kinship solidarity, strengthening communal bonds; and (3) providing a conflict resolution mechanism through customary mediation. The ritual unfolds in nine stages, beginning with family summons and ending with the presentation of rice, garments, and Lio woven textiles. The persistence of Wurumana is explained by three factors: the moral principle of jaga waka (preserving familial dignity), the authority of the Eda (traditional leaders), and the tau tei duna mea ethic (the cultural imperative of contribution, enforced through social sanctions). This study highlights the enduring relevance of Wurumana in contemporary Lio society and contributes to understanding the social organization of the Lio ethnic group.
