Abstract

The aim of this research is to assess student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subjects Personal Letters and Official Letters using m-learning based on the TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) cooperative learning model at SMP Negeri 1 Mantup Lamongan. This research is classroom action research (PTK) with qualitative and quantitative analysis. This research was carried out in two cycles. This research data was collected from May to June 2023. The subjects of this research were 30 students in class VII-A, 10 men and 20 women. According to the researcher's data analysis, the average student learning outcome before PTK was 50.22. After PTK the average student learning outcome in cycle I was 60.96, while the average student learning outcome in cycle II was 78.96. Based on research findings, the use of m-learning is effective in improving the learning outcomes of class VII-A students at SMP Negeri 1 Mantup Lamongan in Indonesian language subjects for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Mantera Media Development is a project aimed at creating effective learning materials for visually impaired students. These materials utilize 3D printing technology and are based on Arduino technology. The development process follows a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with a prototype model approach. This project was conducted at Sriwijaya University's Mechanical Engineering Education Laboratory. The validation results for the learning materials were impressive. Material validation using a Likert scale yielded a perfect score of 100%, indicating high appropriateness and validity. Media validation, assessed using Guttman theory, scored 91%, signifying the media's strong suitability and validity. As a result, these learning materials are considered highly feasible and ready for use in teaching build space concepts to visually impaired students. Mantera's development promises to address the challenges faced in learning space construction, potentially enhancing cognitive and tactile skills. Additionally, it introduces technology-packaged media to the educational landscape.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the educational thoughts of Ibn Sina and correlate them with contemporary Islamic education. The research methodology employed is literature review, utilizing secondary sources such as books, scholarly journals, dictionaries, documents, magazines, and others. The findings of this study reveal that Ibn Sina's educational ideas hold significant relevance to contemporary Islamic education. The research outcomes indicate that Ibn Sina was a polymath philosopher with expertise spanning various domains, including education. According to Ibn Sina, the purpose of education is characterized as universal, curricular, and operational. Ibn Sina categorized the curriculum based on the learners' age groups. Within Ibn Sina's pedagogical concept, several teaching methods are identified, including talqin (instruction), demonstration, habituation and exemplification, discussion, apprenticeship, assignments, encouragement, and discouragement. Ibn Sina also emphasizes the educator's role as a positive exemplar for the learners. The educational philosophies of Ibn Sina demonstrate relevance to contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Financial management in education holds a central position in building an effective and sustainable education system. However, during the era of Umar bin Abdul Aziz, it did not receive adequate historical attention. This research aims to evaluate the financial management of education during that period through a descriptive literature study. The results indicate that financial management of education at that time encompassed financial planning, fair salary distribution, infrastructure development, and administrative evaluation such as fund recording. Umar bin Abdul Aziz also promoted values of integrity in governance. A progressive and transformative educational leader is needed for dynamic education policies and optimal financial management. In conclusion, the role of key leaders is crucial in creating a robust and sustainable education system.

Abstract

Character education is now necessary for the survival of a nation in the midst of rapid and dramatic social change. This study aims to reveal and describe character education in a collection of short stories by Wicahyanti Rejeki and its relevance in learning Indonesian in junior high school. This research belongs to the category of literary research with a qualitative descriptive form, using a literary sociology approach with the content analysis method. The data used in this research is a collection of short stories Tepukan Tiga Kali by Wicahyanti Rejeki. The data analysis techniques used are dialectical techniques and interactive techniques. The results showed that the first five short stories from the Tepukan Tiga Kali short story collection studied contained character education values. Character education contained in the five short stories include: faith and piety in God Almighty, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity. Secondly, the character education values contained in the collection of short stories can help achieve the educational objectives of Indonesian language lessons. The implications of moral and character values contained in literary works play a role in developing cognitive, affective, psychomotor aspects, developing personality, and developing the social personality of junior high school students.

Abstract

Using appropriate learning models is important in education. However, sometimes this aspect is often forgotten. So that it gives the impression that education practitioners are only "merely" teaching without considering the effectiveness of learning outcomes so that students can properly understand the material that has been prepared. So, the fundamental goals of education as mandated by the constitution cannot be achieved, especially during the current era of information technology disruption. Technological media's effectiveness can be an advantage if used appropriately as a learning media facility. This research aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model assisted by animation media on student interest and learning outcomes. The research method applied is experimental. The experimental design used by the researcher was a quasi-experiment which took a nonequivalent control group design.

Abstract

In the era of development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, information technology has a big influence on the world of education. However, many students do not use their smartphones in the learning process, so their learning outcomes are still low. This research is classroom action research which aims to improve learning outcomes by implementing m-learning with a contextual approach. The subjects of this research were 35 students in class X-7 of Senior High School 18 Surabaya using a collaborative model carried out in 2 cycles and 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, carrying out actions, observing, and reflecting. Data collection methods are carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively and quantitatively. The results of the analysis show an increase in the learning process from before the action (pre-cycle) to cycles I and II. In cycle I the average score was 75.42 and the percentage of completeness was 71.42%; Then it increased in cycle II with an average score of 93 and a completion percentage of 100%. It can be concluded that the application of m-learning with a contextual approach has succeeded in improving student learning outcomes. The completion presentation reaches 100% of the completion score based on the Merdeka Curriculum KKTP of 75.0.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in Arabic subjects at SMPIT Al-Falaah Simo. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The source of information for this research is the head of SMPIT Al-Falaah Simo, Arabic teachers, and students. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings in this study include that: 1. The application of CTL in Arabic subjects at SMPIT Al-Falaah Simo goes through three stages; the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. In this application, it has contained seven components of CTL such as constructivism, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessmen. 2. There are several obstacles in the application of CTL in Arabic subjects at SMPIT Al-Falaah Simo; Teachers have not mastered and understood contextual learning methods comprehensively, limited learning resources, limited time in the context of mentoring students, the situation of teaching and learning activities that teachers create is not always the same from day to day, and limited facilities such as the absence of a language laboratory.

Abstract

Assessment is an important and inseparable part of the educational process. The importance of this assessment component is proven by the existence of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 23 of 2016 concerning Assessment Standards for Primary and Secondary Education levels which was later updated with Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 21 of 2022 as a consequence of changes in the curriculum in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the Education Assessment Standards in Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 23 of 2016 and Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 21 of 2022. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of research being a literature study (library research). Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions. This research found that in Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 23 of 2026, Educational Assessment Standards include criteria regarding scope, objectives, benefits, principles, mechanisms, procedures and assessment instruments. Meanwhile, in Permendikbudristek Number 21 of 2022, it was found that the Education Assessment Standards include minimum criteria regarding assessment mechanisms.

Abstract

This research is motivated by observational data indicating that the Arabic writing skills of ninth-grade students at Ma'had Tahfidz Izzah Zamzam Surakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year are still lacking. The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of the Insya’ Muwajjah method, the driving and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Insya’ Muwajjah method, and to assess the effectiveness of the Insya’ Muwajjah method in improving writing skills in Arabic language learning. The research was conducted on ninth-grade students at Ma'had Tahfidz Izzah Zamzam Surakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the techniques stated by Miles and Huberman, which include data collection, data reduction, data display, and decision-making or verification. The validity of the research data was checked using triangulation techniques. The research results show that the implementation of the Insya’ Muwajjah method to enhance writing skills in the Arabic language for ninth-grade students at Ma'had Tahfidz Izzah Zamzam Surakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year is considered good because 80% of the students scored above the minimum passing grade, and 20% of the students scored at the minimum passing grade, which is 60.
