Abstract

This study examines how Perceived Usefulness (PU) influences Intention to Use (IU) digital technology, with Resistance to Change (RC) as a moderating variable, among employees of ABC Project. Grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and organizational change theory, the study tests whether dispositional resistance weakens the cognitive pathway from perceived usefulness to adoption intention. A cross-sectional survey was administered to 120 employees involved in the organization’s digital transformation initiative. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that PU has a strong positive effect on IU (β = 0.634, p < 0.001), while RC exerts a significant negative effect (β = −0.182, p = 0.009). The moderating effect of RC on the PU–IU relationship was not statistically significant (β = −0.006, p = 0.812), suggesting that cognitive value assessment and resistance operate through independent psychological mechanisms. The study contributes to TAM literature by empirically testing resistance as a boundary condition in a project-based organizational context and offers practical implications for change management in digital transformation initiatives.

Abstract

Music plays an important role as a medium of communication in conveying reflective and emotional messages through lyrics that can be interpreted personally by listeners. This is in line with Kunto Aji's statement about the human tendency to often forget the importance of talking to oneself, and to simply enjoy songs without understanding their deeper meaning. This study aims to analyze the construction of meaning of “Aku memaafkan” in the lyrics of Kunto Aji's song “Jernih”. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic approach and through intrapersonal communication. Data were collected through lyric analysis and interviews with listeners. The results show that the phrase “Aku memaafkan” is constructed as a meaning of releasing inner wounds, freeing oneself from past trauma, and healing efforts to achieve inner peace. The repetition of the phrase “Aku memaafkan” serves as an affirmation that strengthens an individual's internal dialogue in dealing with emotional conflicts. Listeners' interpretations reveal that the meaning of “Aku memaafkan” is not only understood symbolically but also internalized as a form of self-reflection. This study concludes that a song not only functions as an artistic work but can also be an effective communication medium in assisting the process of forgiveness.

Abstract

The gap that occurs in elementary schools is related to the principal's academic supervision between performance demands that are still suboptimal. However, the function of the principal's academic supervision in improving the performance of elementary school teachers remains suboptimal. This study aimed to determine and analyze the planning, implementation, evaluation, follow-up, constraints, and solutions for improving the performance of elementary school teachers. The approach used was a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and triangulation. The results of this study show that (1) the principal's academic supervision planning is based on objectives, making supervision schedules, compiling supervision instruments, and analyzing schoolwork programs; (2) implementation through classroom visits, classroom observations, and providing learning tools; and (3) evaluation consisting of mastery of material and communication with students. (3) Evaluation, consisting of mastery of material, communication with students, types and evaluation techniques; (4) follow-up, enrichment, improvement, coaching, reflection and reporting; (5) obstacles, namely the lack of linear education personnel, inadequate facilities, and late payment of tuition fees for some students; (6) solutions for human resources, namely the procurement of teachers who are in accordance with the needs of elementary schools, namely PGSD graduates and training such as in-house training (IHT), seminars, and workshops in developing teacher soft skills. Facilities and infrastructure solutions, namely procurement of new classes and adequate fields for teaching and learning activities. The financing solution is the school's cooperation with student guardians in terms of tuition payments and home visits when payments are due with a prior notification letter from the school. billing either in the form of a certificate, informing via wa or telephone, and finally, through home visits to student guardians for those who are late in paying.

Abstract

The collaboration between teachers and parents in shaping the moral character of students in Islamic boarding schools is crucial yet often overlooked. This study aims to analyze the collaboration between teachers and parents in shaping students' moral character at Islamic boarding schools Al-Izz Sukabumi. This research employs a qualitative case study approach to explore the planning, implementation, and evaluation of teacher-parent collaboration. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers, parents, and school administrators. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify key patterns and challenges in fostering students' moral development. Findings reveal that the collaboration is planned through meetings, home visits, and communication via digital platforms such as WhatsApp groups. The implementation involves joint activities such as parenting workshops and counseling sessions. Evaluation is conducted regularly through meetings and feedback mechanisms. Challenges include parental disengagement due to economic constraints, generational gaps, and limited awareness of their role in moral education. Effective collaboration between teachers and parents enhances students' moral development by providing consistent guidance at home and school. Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that there are still many PTKI (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam) lecturers who still have not had the opportunity to take part in Educator Certification for Lecturers who until 2023 have not been certified as many as 16,349 lecturers or 41.67% of the total PTKI lecturers of 39,452 lecturers and the low quota of certification participants within the Directorate General of Islamic Education.  In 2023, as many as 1,724 PTKI lecturers have been successfully certified, with 69% of them coming from Private PTKI (PTKIS) and 31% from State PTKI (PTKIN) based on data from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. The research generally aims to describe and analyse the management of lecturer certification in effort to standardise the lecturer profession at the Directorate General of Islamic Education which includes management functions of planning, organising, actuating, and controlling. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used are documentation, observation and interviews. The theoretical basis used: 1) Management Theory by George R. Terry; 2) Human Resource Management Theory; dan 3) Undang-undang (UU) Nomor 14 Tahun 2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen with all its derivative regulations. The results of the study illustrate that the implementation of lecturer certification does not have a strong legal basis after 2015 and in budgeting it has not received much attention even though it is mandatory. In the organisation there is a potential for delaying opportunities for universities that have met the requirements to become PTPS (Perguruan Tinggi Penyelenggara Serdos); Implementation of lecturer certification in general has fulfilled the provisions of the lecturer certification guidelines both managed by the Directorate of PTKI and those carried out by the Certification Implementation Committee located at PTPS and in controlling the implementation of certification using an internal approach carried out by elements in PTPS through the Quality Assurance Organization and the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and external approaches are the responsibility of external supervisory apparatus, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Vocational education in Indonesia faces the challenge of ensuring that graduates have the skills that match industry requirements. The hybrid learning model, which combines online and face-to-face methods, is increasingly being adopted as a strategy to improve the quality of graduates’ learning. This investigation examines the efficacy of hybrid learning in enhancing students' technical and interpersonal competencies, while also exploring their perceptions of this educational model at SMK Negeri 7 Bandung. This study used a mixed-methods approach, with quantitative data collected through surveys and pre- and post-intervention assessments, and qualitative data obtained through interviews and classroom observations. The sample consisted of students enrolled in various vocational programs, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Hybrid learning contributed to a 25% improvement in technical skills and a 30% improvement in soft skills (communication, teamwork, and problem-solving). A total of 85% of students expressed satisfaction with this model, with flexibility and accessibility being the main factors. However, some students faced challenges in adapting to technology. Hybrid learning is effective in improving the skills and job readiness of vocational high school students, but its implementation requires support in the form of technology training and curriculum adjustment.

Abstract

Character education in midwifery is essential, as the profession demands not only academic competence but also ethical conduct in providing health services. Midwifery professionals must embody high integrity, empathy, professionalism, and the ability to maintain dignity. However, the integration of character education into midwifery education remains insufficient because of challenges, such as inadequate curriculum integration, limited teaching resources, lack of field experience, and ineffective character evaluation. This study utilizes George Robert Terry’s management principles and Thomas Lickona’s character education framework, alongside Ministry of Health standards, to analyze the management of Character Education Strengthening (CES) in improving graduate quality at the DIII Midwifery Program at Universitas Faletehan Banten and STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. Using a qualitative case study approach, the data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that systematic CES management, encompassing planning, organising, implementing, and evaluating, significantly enhances both the character and competence of midwifery graduates, aligning them with professional standards and ethics. Challenges such as limited human resources and resistance to character education integration can be addressed by enhancing lecturer training and raising awareness of its importance for community services. Therefore, operational standards for midwifery character education are essential for producing graduates who excel academically and possess strong professional ethics, benefiting both the profession and society.

Abstract

Relating textbook science to socio-cultural practices not only facilitates learning but also makes local practices seem relevant. Models that integrate indigenous practices into the curriculum are crucial. This study was purposed to develop one such model. Its theoretical framework aligned with Vygotsky's concept of the Zone of Proximal Development. It used embedded design-mixed methods within an experiment, complemented by the design-based approach. The target population comprised 41 indigenous practitioners in akpeteshie and pito production and 492 third-year pre-service teachers. The accessible population consisted of 9 active akpeteshie producers, 8 active pito producers, and 312 third-year pre-service teachers, all of whom studied general chemistry. A purposive sampling technique was used to select respondents, with data gathered through interviews, non-participant observation, and a questionnaire. The interview and non-participant observation data were analysed using content analysis, while the questionnaire data were analysed using descriptive statistics.  The analysis led to the identification of themes that provided a framework for developing a model for generally integrating indigenous knowledge practices into science teaching.  It was recommended that, to facilitate the mainstreaming of indigenous practices into science teaching in Ghanaian schools, curriculum content should be reviewed to align with the model framework.

Abstract

Navigation instruments such as GPS, Radar, and ECDIS require substantial investment and continuous maintenance, which limits their availability for routine hands-on practice in maritime training. As a result, cadets may have fewer opportunities to experience learning conditions that closely resemble real operational environments. This study, conducted at the Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Makassar, aimed to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning application that visualizes ten essential ship navigation instruments: GPS, Radar, ECDIS, AIS, Gyrocompass, Echo Sounder, Autopilot, Speed Log, VHF Radio, and NAVTEX. The development followed the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, including 3D object creation, marker integration, and Android application development using Unity and Vuforia. The feasibility of the application was evaluated through expert validation and field testing involving 115 cadets. Expert evaluation showed that functionality, usability, and reliability met the “Good” to “Very Good” categories, with an overall score of 84%. Cadet trials also indicated consistently positive responses, particularly in conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and ease of use, with one minor issue related to longer scanning time for a marker. Overall, the findings suggest that AR Marine NavTool is feasible for use in maritime vocational education and can serve as a preparatory learning layer that supports more structured progression to hands-on practice through accessible and interactive visualization of navigation instruments.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating function of institutional collaboration in the relationship between rural community empowerment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This study is based on the collaborative governance framework and stakeholder theory, which highlight shared accountability and the active participation of commercial, governmental, and community actors in accomplishing sustainable development goals. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used as a quantitative methodology. 100 people were interviewed in conflict-affected buffer villages in Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province, Indonesia, including village administrators, community leaders, and members from local non-governmental organizations. The study found that CSR significantly increases institutional cooperation, which in turn increases rural communities' degree of empowerment. However, because the direct effect of CSR on empowerment was statistically negligible, institutional collaboration had a full mediating effect. These findings highlight the need for strong and active institutional synergy in order for CSR programs in disadvantaged rural settings to produce significant results.
