Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of multiple choice items in terms of material, construction, and language aspects. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the quality of multiple choice items in elementary schools in Muratara district for the 2019/2020 academic year. This research uses descriptive quantitative research. The sample used was 156. Sources of data in the study were question compilers, grade VI teachers at the Musi Rawas Utara Regency, and documentation. Analysis of multiple choice items used qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis used content validity analysis techniques according to Gregory, and matching cognitive domains. Quantitative analysis uses the help of the Anates V4 program. The results of this study indicate that multiple choice questions analyzed in terms of material, construction, and language aspects have very high categorical content validity. Based on this research, the preparation of questions should be done through the item analysis stage, especially rational logical analysis, which includes the validity of the content and the level of difficulty, so that the questions compiled can be of quality.

Abstract

This study aims to describe aspects of scientific literacy; 1) Science as the body of knowledge in the science textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI students; 2) Science as a way of investigating science textbooks for grade IV, V, and VI students; 3) Science as a way of thinking in science textbooks for grade IV, V, and VI students; 4) The interaction of science, technology, society, and the environment in the science textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI students. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects in this study were high class students. The object of this research is the textbooks of grade IV, V, and VI elementary school. The research data was calculated the average value of each expert and then the percentage was calculated according to each aspect of scientific literacy analyzed. The results of the first study show that the indicator presents the concepts of the number of occurrences of 6 with a percentage of 100%. The second aspect shows the largest number of appearances compared to books of class IV and VI. The science aspect as a way of thinking shows the largest number of occurrences compared to books of grades V and VI. the third aspect is deductive and inductive reasoning, skepticism and criticism, and various ways of understanding the natural world. The last aspect shows the largest number of appearances compared to books of class IV and V. Indicators Describe the usefulness of science and technology for society.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with a quasy experiment method. The research design was The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The population in this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 02 Rejang Lebong and grade IV students at SD Negeri 10 Rejang Lebong. The samples of this research were 30 students of class IV A SDN 02 Rejang Lebong as the experimental class and 30 students of class IV A SDN 10 Rejang Lebong as the control class. The research instrument is a written test which includes tests of fluency, flexibility, original thinking skills, elaboration of thinking skills and evaluation thinking skills. Significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of the posttest hypothesis test for the experimental and control classes using the Mann-Whitney U test, it was found that there was a difference in the effect of using different learning models on the dimensions of creative thinking abilities. Statistically, N-Gain the average value of the dimensions of creative thinking skills using PBL is much higher than learning using conventional models. Hypothesis test pretest-posttest experimental class using Paired Samples Test all dimensions of creative thinking ability obtained value t-count < t-table. It is concluded that there is an effect of the application of the PBL model on the creative thinking ability of class IV in the material of energy and motion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop learning materials for students' worksheets with a scientific approach to material force for fourth grade students. The research subjects were 22 students and one grade IV teacher at SDN 59 Bengkulu Tengah, while the research object was students' worksheets with a scientific approach. This study uses the ADDIE model development which is carried out to produce a learning product. These stages include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, the development carried out is only up to the third stage (development). The instruments used were expert validation sheets, interview guides and practicality test questionnaires. The results showed that the learning materials for students' worksheets with the scientific approach developed were very feasible and practical to be used by fourth grade students and teachers in science learning, especially force material, muscle force sub material.

Abstract

This research aims to (a) create and develop contextually based animated video learning media for learning science on Gaya material. Learning media is created by combining text, images, animation, audio and video. (b) to measure the feasibility and practicality of contextual-based learning video media. at SDN 11 Central Bengkulu. This research is research and development using the Borg and Gall model. The research object is contextual-based learning video media. The research stage includes (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) use trials, (7) product revision. The data collection technique used was a validation questionnaire from material experts, language experts and presentation experts which were analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The research subjects were 18 grade IV students at SDN Bengkulu Tengah. The results of this research are contextual-based learning video media in science learning style material with material aspect feasibility of 0.81 high validity with very feasible criteria, language aspect feasibility of 0.75 high validity with appropriate criteria, and presentation aspect 0.80 high validity with criteria worthy. Practicality with a score of 79.38 with a percentage of 79.38% meets the practicality criteria. So, contextual-based learning video media in learning science material in Gaya is feasible and practical to use.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of creating an animated video and determine its feasibility based on the results of the validator's assessment and student responses using a scientific approach geared toward solving the problem of the Search, Solve, Create, Share model for class V students. Procedure research and development refers to the Borg and Gall development model, which has ten stages, but only seven are used by researchers, namely up to the use trial and then product revision if there are validator suggestions. The study's findings were based on the validator's assessment of the material aspect, which received an average score of 0.81, the language aspect, which received an average score of 0.83, and the media aspect, which received an average score of 0.80. The overall average of these three aspects yields a score of 0.81 in the very decent category, while the results of student responses yield an average score of 80.5 in the very good category. Based on the assessment results, it can be stated that the developed learning media in the form of animated videos is very feasible and suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Based on the results of validator assessments and student responses to teaching materials on the relationship between living things in ecosystems in class V SD Negeri 35 Bengkulu Tengah, this study aims to develop CTL-based Natural Science teaching materials and determine their feasibility. The R&D procedure refers to the Borg and Gall development model, which has ten stages, but only six are used by the researchers, namely up to the use trial and then product revision based on input from the six validators. The study's findings were based on the validator's assessment of the material aspect, which received an average score of 0.86, the language aspect received an average score of 0.86, and the media aspect received an average score of 0.88. The overall average of these three aspects yields a score of 0.87 in the very feasible category, while the results of student responses to the product yield an average score of 80.62 in the very good category. Based on the assessment results, it is possible to conclude that the developed teaching materials in the form of CTL-based printed book are very feasible and suitable for use in the science learning process.

Abstract

The research aims to improve the attitude of responsibility and learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 097 North Bengkulu by applying the picture and picture type cooperative model assisted by puzzle media. This research is Classroom Action Research with research subjects totaling 18 students. The instruments used were observation sheets and tests and used the formula for the average score, the highest score, the lowest score, the difference between the scores and the range of values for each data criterion. Test data was analyzed using the formula for average value and percentage of classical learning. The average result of the application of the cooperative model type picture and picture assisted by the first cycle puzzle media was 43.75 in the sufficient category and increased to 69.5 in the very good category. The average result of the attitude of responsibility in the first cycle was 8.5 in the sufficient category and increased to 14.09 in the very good category. The learning outcomes for PPKn subjects on average in cycle I was 69.72 classical completeness 55.55% and increased to 74.67 classical completeness 88.89% in cycle II. The learning outcomes for Indonesian subjects in cycle I averaged 69.36 classical completeness 61.11% and increased to 76.67 classical completeness 88.89% in cycle II. The learning outcomes of IPS subjects in cycle I averaged 70.61 classical completeness 55.55% and increased to 76.25 classical completeness 94.44% in cycle II. The conclusion of the application of the cooperative model type picture and picture assisted by media puzzles can increase the attitude of responsibility and student learning outcomes in thematic learning in class IV SDN 097 North Bengkulu.

Abstract

This study addresses the issues of low activity, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes in science class. The objective is to describe the analysis of teacher and student activities and to analyze the improvement of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. The research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted over four meetings in a fifth-grade class consisting of 18 students, 8 male and 10 female, at SDN Danda Jaya 3. Qualitative data was obtained through observation of teacher and student activities, as well as student critical thinking skills. The results indicate that the teacher's activities in meetings 1 to 4 were well-implemented. Student activities improved from 44% to 94% throughout meetings 1 to 4, almost entirely meeting the criteria for being active. Student critical thinking skills also improved from 39% to 94% over meetings 1 to 4, meeting almost all criteria for being skilled. The level of student learning outcomes increased from 44% to 100%. Based on the findings, the PANTING teaching model can improve student activity and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics lessons by using the Regular Polygon learning material discussion method. The subjects of this research were fourth grade students at SDN BPR Ranau Tengah. This research is Classroom Action Research which was carried out in 2 cycles. The data collection technique used is observation. The instrument used is a direct observation sheet. From the research results, it is known that using the discussion method can improve student learning outcomes regarding regular polygons in class IV students. Students' understanding in mathematics lessons about regular polygons before being given action was 30% and was in the poor category. After using the discussion method in cycle I it increased to 50% and was in the sufficient category. In cycle II, students' abilities increased again to 70% and were in the good category. Apart from that, students can also improve their understanding of regular polygon material and gain knowledge, especially for groups with medium and low abilities. By forming the right study group you can also improve group performance, so that it will benefit all group members. From the results of this research it can be concluded that the discussion method can improve student learning outcomes.
