Abstract

Abstrak Kualitas susu kambing diperkirakan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya adalah perbedaan periode laktasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari kadar protein dan susu kambing Saanen pada Laktasi ke 1 dan 2. Penelitian dilakukan di Balai Besar Pembibitan Ternak Unggul–Hijauan Pakan Ternak (BBPTU-HPT) Baturraden-Purwokerto Jawa Tengah selama dua minggu dari 4-18 Januari tahun 2018. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus dengan objek penelitian kambing Saanen. Data yang digunakan adalah data kadar lemak dan protein susu kambing Saanen yang berasal dari 11 ekor kambing Saanen pada laktasi ke 1 dan 2. Uji t digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rataan nilai kadar lemak dan protein susu kambing Saanen pada laktasi ke 1 dan 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kadar lemak kambing Saanen pada laktasi ke 1 lebih baik dari laktasi ke 2 (3,20% vs 2,75%). Kadar protein kambing Saanen pada laktasi ke 1 lebih baik dari laktasi ke 2 (3,01% vs 2,73%). Kata Kunci : Kambing, Saanen, Lemak, Susu, Protein Abstract The quality of goat milk is estimated to be influenced by several factors, including the difference in the lactation period. The purpose of this study was to determine and study the protein and milk content of Saanen goats at Lactations 1 and 2. The study was conducted at the Center for Animal Husbandry for Superior-Forage Animal Feed (BBPTU-HPT) Baturraden-Purwokerto Central Java for two weeks from 4-18 January 2018. The research method is a case study with Saanen goat research object. The data used are data on fat and protein content of Saanen goat milk derived from 11 Saanen goats at lactations 1 and 2. T test was used to determine differences in the average value of fat and protein content of Saanen goat milk in lactations 1 and 2. The results of the study showed that Saanen goat fat content at lactation 1 was better than lactation 2 (3.20% vs 2.75%). Saanen goat protein content at lactation 1 was better than lactation 2 (3.01% vs 2.73%). Keywords: Goat, Saanen, Fat, Milk, Protein

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jarak tanam terhadap tinggi tanaman dan berat segar per rumpun rumput gajah odot (Pennisetum purpureum cv.mott). Penelitian ini dilakukan di CIkajang kabupaten Garut, dimulai bulan Juni sampai bulan Agustus 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 macam perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 20 unit percobaan yaitu : P₁ = 60 cm x 60 cm, P₂ = 70 cm x 70 cm, P₃ = 80 cm x 80 cm, P₄ = 90 cm x 90 cm and P₅ = 100 cm x 100 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh jarak tanam terhadap berat segar per rumpun tetapi jarak tanam memberikan pengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dalam setiap petak. Kata kunci : jarak tanam, rumput gajah, tinggi tanaman, dan berat segar Abstract The experiment was conducted to study the effect of row spacing to plant high and fresh weight per clump of dwarf nafier (Pennisetum purpureum cv. mott). The experiment conducted in Cikajang Garut district, start at June until to August 2016. The method used in this experiment is Randomized Block Design (RBD) which consist of 5 treatments and 4 replicated there are 20 unites of study namely : P₁ = 60 cm x 60 cm, P₂ = 70 cm x 70 cm, P₃ = 80 cm x 80 cm, P₄ = 90 cm x 90 cm and P₅ = 100 cm x 100 cm. The result showed : there is not effect of row spacing number of fresh weight per clump but the row spacing has effect are of plant high at the compartment. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi dedak padi dengan bonggol pisang fermentasi dan bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana fermentasi terhadap performa broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kandang percobaan Kampung Babakan Jambe, Desa Pasawahan, Kecamatan Tarogong Kaler, Kabupaten Garut mulai bulan Agustus sampai September 2018. Penelitian menggunakan 200 ekor ayam broiler strain Cobb dari PT. KMS tanpa dilakukan pemisahan antara jantan dan betina. Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial dengan perlakuan pertama yaitu tingkat substitusi dedak padi dengan bonggol pisang fermentasi (B) terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan, yaitu : b0 = 0%, b1 = 1,25%, b2 = 2,50%, b3 = 3,75% dan b4 = 5,00%, sedangkan perlakuan kedua yaitu tingkat substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana fermentasi (I) terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan, yaitu : i0 = 0%, i1 = 6,50%, i2 = 13,00%, i3 = 19,50% dan i4 = 26%, sehingga terdapat 25 kombinasi perlakuan dengan masing-masing 2 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subsitusi dedak padi dengan bonggol pisang dan bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana fermentasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi ransum, secara mandiri masing-masing berpengaruh terhadap pertambahan berat badan, dan terjadi interaksi antara substitusi bonggol pisang dan Indigofera zollingeriana fermentasi terhadap konversi ransum. Subsitusi dedak padi dengan bonggol pisang fermentasi 5% dan bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana fermentasi 13% menghasilkan performa optimal pada ayam broiler. Kata Kunci : Bonggol Pisang, Indigofera zollingeriana, Fermentasi, Broiler. Abstract The purpose of this research is to know about the substitution effect of rice bran with banana hump fermented and soybean meal with Indigofera zollingeriana fermented to feed consumption, daily gain and feed conversion.. The research was conducted at Babakan Jambe, Pasawahan Village, Tarogong Kaler Sub District, Garut Regency and carried out from August until September 2018. This Research used 200 broilers with Cobb strain from PT. KMS with straight run method. The research used experimental method with design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial pattern with the first treatment, namely substitution of rice bran with banana hump fermented (B) consisting of 5 levels, namely : b0 = 0%, b1 = 1,25%, b2 = 2,50%, b3 = 3,75% and b4 = 5,00%, and the second treatment is the level substitution of soybean meal with Indigofera zollingeriana fermented (I) consisting 5 levels of treatment, namely: i0 = 0%, i1 = 6.50%, i2 = 13.00%, i3 = 19.50% and i4 = 26%, so the number of treatment combinations is 25 which is twice repeated. The results showed that there was not significat effect between the level substitution of banana hump and Indigofera zollingeriana fermented on the feed consumtion, there was independent effect on daily gain and there was interaction to feed conversion. Substitution rice bran with banana hump fermented until 5% and soybean meal with Indigofera zollingeriana fermented until 13% show optimal performance of broiler. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan molasses dan tepung tapioka pada proses pembuatan pellet daun gamal terhadap kandungan protein kasar, serat kasar, dan energi. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan terdiri dari P1= Penambahan 30% molasses, P2= Penambahan 40% molasses P3= Penambahan 30% tepung tapioka, P4= Penambahan 40% tepung tapioka dan P5= Penambahan 20% molasses dan 20% tepung tapioka. Untuk menguji lebih lanjut perbedaan rata-rata pada setiap perlakuan dilakukan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan molasses dan tepung tapioka berpengaruh nyata terhadap protein kasar, serat kasar dan kandungan energi pada pellet daun gamal. Penambahan molasses sebanyak 30% menunjukkan rata –rata nilai protein kasar terbaik yaitu sebesar 16,93 %, serat kasar 5,29% dengan energi 4062 kkal/kg terhadap hasil pellet daun gamal. Kata kunci: molases, tepung_tapioka, kandungan_kimia, pellet_daun_Gamal Abstract This study aimed to finding out the effects addition molasses and cassava flour on pellet Gliricidia sepium leaf to crude protein, crude fiber, and energy content. The research method used was Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment is, P1= increment 30% molasses, P2= increment 40% molasses P3= increment 30% cassava flour, P4= increment 40% cassava flour and P5= increment 20% molasses and 20% cassava flour. The results showed the addition molasses and cassava flour on pellet Gliricidia sepium leaf was significant effect on crude protein, crude fiber, and energy content. The presentation of molasses 30% resulted that the best in average crude protein 16,93%, crude fiber 5,29%, and energy content 4062 kca/kg to pellet Gliricidia sepium leaf. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sampai sejauh mana pengaruh pemberian herbal yang mengandung probiotik dalam air minum terhadap konsumsi ransum segar,konsumsi bahan kering, konsumsi energi ransum, konsumsi protein ransum, dan konsumsi serat kasar ransum pada ternak ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 100 ekor DOC broiler yang ditempatkan secara acak kedalam 20 kandang, dan setiap kandang terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam. Penelitian menggunakan metode experimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan air minum dan lima ulangan. Perlakuan air minum yang digunakan yaitu air minum yang tidak mengandung probiotik 0% (R1); mengandung vitamin dan antibiotik (R2); mengandung 1 ml herbal yang mengandung probiotik (R3); dan mengandung 2 ml herbal yang mengandung probiotik (R4). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan herbal yang mengandung probiotik tidak berpengatuh terhadap palatabilitas ransum ayam broiler. Kata kunci : herbal, probiotik, air minum, palatabilitas, ayam broiler Abstract The object of study was evaluate the extent of the effect of herbs that contain probiotics in drinking water on feed consumption, dry matter intake, feed energy consumption, the consumption of dietary protein, and crude fiberconsumption in broiler chickens. This reseach used 100 broiler at one days of age, were randomly placed into 20 cages, each cage consisted of five chickens. The methode of research was experimental designed by completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications of drinking water. The treatments consisted of drinking water that does not contain probiotics 0% (R1); drinking water were contain vitamins and antibiotics (R2); drinking water were contain 1 ml herbs with probiotics (R3); drinking water were contain 2 ml herbs with probiotics (R4). The results showed that the addition of herbs that contain probiotics do not affect the feed palatability of broiler chicken. Keywords : Herb, probiotic, drinking water, palatability, broiler chicken

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari pengaruh jarak pengangkutan terhadap penyusutan dan persentase penyusutan bobot badan ayam kampung super. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama satu hari dari kandang yang berlokasi dari Kampung Patrol, Desa Sirna Galih, Kecamatan Cigalontang, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya ke Kampung Cigangsa, Desa Bojongloa, Keacamatan Cilawu, Kabupaten Garut. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan empat perlakuan dan lima ulangan, yaitu : P1 (Jarak Pengangkutan 10 Km), P2 (Jarak Pengangkutan 20 Km), P3 (Jarak Pengangkutan 30 Km), dan P4 (Jarak Pengangkutan 40 Km), dengan menggunakan 100 ekor ayam kampung super yang dibagi secara acak ke dalam 5 unit keramba yang diisi 20 ekor tiap unit keramba, dan tiap unit keramba dibagi 4 kelompok perlakuan dengan 5 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin jauh jarak pengangkutan, maka semakin besar penyusutan dan persentase penyusutan bobot badan ayam kampung super. Sampai jarak pengangkutan 40 km tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penysutan dan persentase penyusutan bobot badan ayam kampung super. Penyusutan dan persentase penyusutan paling tinggi diperoleh pada jarak pengangkutan 40 km yaitu rata-rata sebesar 35,2 gram/ekor dan 4 persen. Abstract This research aim ti study the effect of transport distance on depreciation and percentage weight loss of super native chicken, was conducted on 1 day located from Patrol of Sirna Galih Village, Cigalontang District, Tasikmalaya Regency to Cigangsa of Bojongloa Village, Cilawu District, Garut Regency. The method on this research was experimental method with design conducted Complete Randomized Design, on four treatments and five replications, which as follows; P1 (Transport Distance 10 Km), P2 (Transport Distance 20 Km), P3 (Transport Distance 30 Km), dan P4 (Transport Distance 40 Km), by using 100 super native chickens which were randomly divided into 5 cage units filled with 20 chickens per cage unit, and each cage unit is divided into 4 treatment groups with 5 replications. The results showed that the longer distance of transportation, the greater the lost weight and percentage of lost body weight of super native chicken. Until the transport distance of 40 km does not have a significant effect on lost weight and percentage of lost body weight of super native chicken. Depreciation and the highest percentage of depreciation were obtained at 40 km transport distance, which was an average of 35.2 grams / head and 4 percent. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui imbangan rumput dan konsentrat terhadap ukuran tubuh Domba Garut umur lima sampai delapan bulan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2019 di UPTD BPPTDK Margawati Garut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Ternak percobaan yang digunakan yaitu 18 ekor Domba Garut jantan umur lima sampai delapan bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa P3 (40% Rumput : 60%), berpengaruh terhadap lebar dada dan panjang badan akan tetapi tidak mempengaruhi terhadap lingkar dada dan tinggi pundak.Kata Kunci :  Rumput, Konsentrat, Ukuran Tubuh, Domba Garut.

Abstract

Abstrak Bobot lahir merupakan parameter awal di dalam mengidentifikasi produktivitas seekor ternak dan pendugaan nilai heritabilitas suatu sifat merupakan parameter genetik yang penting didalm melakukan seleksi berdasarkan sifat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi bobot lahir dan nilai heritabilitasnya pada sapi Bali di BPTU HMT Denpasar yang dapat digunakan sebagai dasar seleksi bibit berdasarkan bobot lahir. Peneilitian ini menggunakan 100 data bobot lahir sapi Bali, yang diperoleh dari 58 ekor sapi betina dan 42 ekor sapi jantan, sedangkan pendugaan heritabilitas bobot lahir menggunakan 99 data bobot lahir berasal dari 99 ekor induk dan lima pejantan. Bobot lahir dievaluasi menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan pendugaan nilai heritabilitas dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam pola Half sib. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bobot lahir sapi Bali betina adalah 18,95 ± 2,16 kg dan jantan adalah 20,12 ± 2,19 kg. Nilai heritabilitas bobot lahir sapi Bali adalah 0,024 ± 0,08. Nilai heritabilitas bobot lahir di BPTU HMT Denpasar termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Kata Kunci : Sapi Bali, Bobot Lahir, Heritabilitas Abstract Birth weight is the initial parameter to identify livestock productivity and estimated heritability value of the trait is an important genetic parameter to do the selection based on that trait. The objectives of this study were evaluated means of birth weight and it’s heritability value in Bali cattle at BPTU HMT Denpasar Bali, which can be used as the base of selection. This research used 100 birth weight data of Bali cattle, obtained from 58 female and 42 male calves, whereas the estimation of birth weight heritability using 99 birth weight data from 99 cows and five bulls. Birth weight was evaluated using descriptive statistic and estimated heritability value was analyzed using ANOVA (analysis of variance) based on pathernal half sib correlation. The results showed that the birth weight of female and males calves were 18.95 ± 2.16 kg 20.12 ± 2.19 kg respectively. The birth weight estimated heritability value of Bali cattle in BPTU HMT Denpasar was 0.024 ± 0.08 . this value was in low category. Keywords : Bali cattle, Birth weight, Heretability

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui imbangan protein dan energi terhadap konsumsi dan pertambahan bobot badan domba garut betina bunting tiga hingga lima bulan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan, dengan jumlah perlakuan 18 ekor domba bunting rataaan bobot badan ±35 Kg dengan koefesien variasi 8,63, dan dipelihara di kandang individu. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah imbangan protein dan energi yaitu P1 (10%;59%) P2 (12;63) P3 (13%;68%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan imbangan protein dan energi yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata P0.05 terhadap pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum domba garut betina bunting tiga hingga lima bulan. Imbangan Protein dan TDN 13% dan 68% memberikan pengaruh optimal terhadap konsumsi dan pertambahan bobot badan domba betina bunting tiga hingga lima bulan karena pada dasarnya walaupun konsumsi ransum lebih tinggi pada imbangan protein energi 10:59 tetapi relatip sama pengaruh nya terhadappertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Kata kunci : Performa, domba garut bunting. Abstract This study aims to determine the balance of protein and energy for consumption and increase in body weight of pregnant ewe garut three to five months. The method used was the experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications, with amount of treatment 18 pregnant sheep averaging ± 35 Kg body weight with variation of 8.63 coefficients, and maintained in individual cages. The treatments used were protein and energy balance, namely P1 (10%; 59%) P2 (12; 63) P3 (13%; 68%). The results of this study showed that different protein and energy balance had a significant effect of P 0.05 on body weight gain and conversion of pregnant female garut rations from three to five months. 13% and 68% Protein and TDN balance provide optimal influence on the consumption and body weight gain of pregnant ewe three to five months because basically even though dry matter consumption is higher in the energy protein balance of one to one but relatively the same effect on body weight gain and ration conversion. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di arena ketangkasan Rancabango Kabupaten Garut pada tanggal 07 Januari 2018, bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran-ukuran tubuh domba garut jantan tangkas yang meliputi tinggi pundak, panjang badan, dan lingkar dada di arena ketangkasan domba Rancabango. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan penentuan sampel berdasarkan teknik random sampling. Jumlah domba garut jantan tangkas yang diteliti sebanyak 57 ekor (30%) dari jumlah populasi domba garut jantan tangkas yang terdaptar di panitia sebanyak 190 ekor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tinggi pundak 80,19 ± 3,07 cm dengan nilai koefisien variasi 3,82 %, panjang badan 76,25 ± 5,07 cm dengan nilai koefisien variasi 5,07 %, dan lingkar dada 94,96 ± 5,49 cm dengan nilai koefisien variasi 5,78 %. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ukuran-ukuran tubuh domba garut jantan tangkas di arena ketangkasan domba Rancabango sudah sesuai dengan standar SNI bahkan berada di atas standar SNI yaitu tinggi pundak minimum 73 cm, panjang badan minimum 61 cm, dan lingkar dada minimum 87 cm. Kata Kunci : tinggi pundak, panjang badan, lingkar dada, domba, tangkas Abstract This research was conducted in the arena agility Rancabango, Garut Regency on January 7, 2018. This study aim to determine the body sizes of fight garut ram which includes shoulder height, body length, and chest circumference in the arena agility Rancabango. The method used in this research is analytical descriptive with sample determination based on random sampling. The number of fights ram that examined as many as 57 tail (30%) of the total population of fight ram that there are as many as 190 tails. The results showed that the average shoulder height of 80.19 ± 3.07 cm with the coefficient of variation 3.82%, body length of 76.25 ± 5.07 cm with the coefficient of variation 5.07%, and the chest circumference of 94, 96 ± 5.49 cm with a coefficient of variation 5.78%. This indicates that the body sizes of fight garut ram in the arena agility Rancabango is accordance with SNI standards even above the SNI standard is the minimum shoulder height of 73 cm, minimum body length of 61 cm, and a minimum chest circumference of 87 cm.
