Abstract

This study discusses the dualism of the education system in Indonesia from the perspective of Iksan Kamil Sahri, a pesantren anthropologist and one of the most productive young scholars. He explained the massification of pesantren, such as the institutionalization of pesantren, which is firmly rooted amid society with various challenges. In collecting data, this study uses library research with qualitative methods emphasizing meaning through a qualitative naturalistic approach using content analysis. The final result of this study states that the educational dualism that occurs creates a value crisis in human civilization that considers science to be value-free, so the impact of scholastic duality is the decline of Islamic educational institutions that do not emphasize mastery of empirical knowledge, even though in terms of morality it can maintain the value system and scientific disciplines classical science. Meanwhile, public educational institutions emphasizing practical knowledge are very fragile regarding religious knowledge. In addition, the disparity stated by Iksan Kamil Sahri between pesantren and general education, which is managed differently by the two ministries in Indonesia, is due to the different educational objectives that exist between the two. Pesantren education aims to make graduates religious experts, while national education in Indonesia aims to produce graduates who meet industry standards to be ready for work.

Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), appeared in the city of Wuhan, China. SARS-CoV-2 causes the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which has resulted in the most devastating pandemic in modern world history. Epidemiological data show that COVID-19 infection with a poor prognosis occurs in the general population with chronic systemic immune deficiency and inflammatory conditions in patients. People with HIV/AIDS (ODHA) have a higher risk of being infected with COVID-19. Research related to COVID-19 infection in HIV/AIDS patients still yields different results in terms of susceptibility to infection, clinical characteristics, severity of symptoms, and prognosis. It is aimed that this case will provide an up-to-date picture of the incidence of COVID-19 in HIV cases The method used in this study is qualitative and a case study of shortness of breath patients. Clinical characteristics of COVID-19 patients and age range 26-82 years. In hospitalized patients, the appropriate treatment strategy depends on the severity of the disease. Treatment for COVID-19 patients with HIV co-infection is the same as for COVID-19 without HIV infection. Immunosuppression in COVID-19 can delay viral clearance and prolong the course of the disease. Monitoring viral load and CD4 count are variables that influence the severity of symptoms. Critical degree Covid 19 patients with HIV have a poor prognosis, but with adequate management the patient experiences clinical improvement and can go home for independent isolation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the quality and characteristics contained in biodiesels produced using Wolffia as the raw material with variations in weight of 200, 250, and 300 grams, and temperatures of 50ºC, 55ºC, and 60ºC. Furthermore, the biodiesel utilized in this study was made with reactants (Wolffia oil and methanol), fat solvent (n-hexane), and a heterogeneous catalyst (potassium hydroxide (KOH)). The results show that biodiesel formation was significantly impacted by temperature. Its volume increases with an upsurge in temperature and/or in raw materials, and the highest biodiesel product volume obtained was 81 ml. Following this, the product’s density value, which was 0.872 remained within the bounds of the SNI 04-7182:2015 standards, and the best calorific value was obtained from the biodiesel made with Wolffia, which was 9,754.70 cal/gr. Lastly, the maximum volume of Wolffia used was 300 grams, as this was the best composition to meet the SNI quality, and using the GC-MS analysis, the biodiesel’s quality was tested and found to contain methyl ester.

Abstract

A pandemic is like a mirror that shows us the realities of life (Teng & Margaret, 2020). This fact of life is the importance of doing for humanity as did the artists of Trisno Guyub’s members. They initiated a joint exhibition for donations and recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. This exhibition was attended by 118 artists and exhibited around 200 works of art, paintings and sculptures. The first purpose is an effort to share and the second is so that artists can fulfill their artistic expression. This study uses a qualitative method in the form of an explanation of the pandemic condition and how a group of Guyub Tresno conducts exhibition efforts as one of the recovery efforts. The pandemic period in various fields experienced significant social and economic changes in society. Life is relatively difficult and efforts to maintain and develop the arts continue. Artists generally focus on how to create works according to their intuition. Meanwhile the strategy of how the work can be distributed with a certain dowry during the pandemic is also relatively difficult. This also applies to other disadvantaged groups of people, namely orphans of course. Those experiencing the same problem may be more concerned. The limitations of children who have lost their parents as the foundation of life and learning to live are gone. Meanwhile, this happens to artists who are in a state of suspended animation. This exhibition is one of the positive forums for an honorable life and ways to share with others. The aim of this exhibition is recovery (Farah & Nasution, 2020) together with the way artists share with fellow artists and orphans. It is hoped that it can contribute to awakening the creative process of artists and can ease the burden on orphans affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
